Simple, Chums Surf Shorts ($13) wallet that has RFID blocking, attaches your keys, has a little pocket for your fob or cards/I.Ds/ security badge that you need handy, two zippered pockets the long way, one with an I..D window & a separated section for cards/credit cards/I.D.s. Turn it upside down the long way and you have another zippered pocket big enough for dollar bills folded in half AND still fit your medication for the day & a band aid if that's what you want. It is attached to a key ring where I also attach an Olight mini & a Victorinox Classic small pocket knife. The light, the keys, & knife can fit in the pocket meant for the fob.
@vimgolfhandicap I totally agree. I really wish there was a little Velcro tab to hold the outer sleeve closed. My only other complaint, just my personal opinion, is that I don't like the clear ID window. I rarely show my ID, so I'd rather just fish it out on the off chance I do. If it didn't have the clear window you really wouldn't even realize it was a wallet which I'd like for security purposes
@@REB4444 I have had a couple over the years. Picked up one the other day in a Bucees gas station in Florida that is a chums surf “flow” wallet. Interesting material not sure if I like this version.
I think pouches are great for carrying in a backpack and organization. I carry a few in my backpack for work. One for chargers and cables (lighting, usb-c, micro usb), another for additional monitor cables (HDMI and USB-C) and another for adapters I need to plug into equipment. I may look into some of these as an option, one of the current ones is super cheap. As for a wallet, I've been looking for a minimalist setup with a magnet for a bit of cash. Haven't found the right one it.
I’ve been carrying the OneTigris zippered men’s wallet which is a pouch but also has an ID window. One I have been eyeing is the Rough Enough line that has a lot of wallet pouches. The Hide & Drink leather pocket pouches are nice, too.
I have been using pouches as wallets for years, since 10th grad when I started rideing motorcycles. Still today I ride as my main form of transport, sport bikes at that. So rear pocket carry is out of the question. Even front pocket can get uncomfortable after a while. Plus if you carry anything hard or sharp can be hella painful if you crash and land on whatever you’re carrying. ( I know from experience ) I usually clip what ever pouch I am using to the key clip in a bag if there is one. If not I put it the easiest to reach inside pocket… If I am using a sling, and there is a key clip its on it, if not then in the back pocket closest to the body it goes…
I went minimalist with the Nomatic wallet some years ago then decided I needed to integrate EDC gear with my wallet and used the Arc Company Bolder. I then moved up to some pouches, including a cheap (but effective) ones from AE and Amazon, then to the Alpaka Velcro Hub Pouch. Now my "wallet" is a GBG MP+
The Rickshaw looks really small and neat. Of course it depends on what you need to carry. But that one seems flexible enough. I've got a few more keys and need to carry cash - so I'm still keeping it separate.
Thanks for introducing me to that Rickshaw wallet. I have a hard time visualizing and am always hesitant on pulling the trigger on anything custom; their customizer really is A+.
Nice selection! I love that pink icing one, got to get one like that next :) While I still prefer a fairly slim traditional style wallet for daily use, I use a Viperade VE1-P pouch as my travel wallet - it holds a passport and pens in the outside pockets, then all the other junk I feel the need to carry about my person (torch, keys, earbuds etc) in the main pocket for when I go through security.
I have been messing with random pouches and cases i have found around the house. I am curently using a travel wallet i found. Not a pouch but can handle my edc items well as long as aranged right. Nice vidio this is one of the few that dont have a viperade in it lol
Guys, I just straight up have an obsession with wallets and watches. Like bad. Love the video. I have several pouches also but find flaws in all of them. I went back to my maxpedition spartan wallet for now
I've been using a big skinny wallet for like 20 years, not changing that anytime soon. I like the old fashioned single billfold. But I do have a little alpaka admin pouch to keep my metal flashlight/knife/nailclippers together and prevent them from scratching up other stuff in a bag.
What you have in your video is the Alpaka Zip Clutch, which is larger than the Zip Pouch Pro (which isn't large enough to hold a phone or passport in the back, I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong item and be disappointed).
The algorithm recommended your video, probably because I like EDC and travel gear. For (non-pouch) wallets, have you ever looked at the Arc Company? None of the products have zippers, though, ha
Bit random but related niche question - who do you think makes the best pouch for 8 passports? This video was great and got me looking - Blank Canvas 🇵🇷and Garage Made Gear might have some good contenders.
I always think wallets are a good idea but then I lose them and have to replace my cards 💳 I’ve found having a wallet attachment that sticks to the back of my phone works best for me.
ALPAKA Hub Pouch - Handy Zippered Storage for Electronics, Cables, and Compact Tool Sets - Use as Everyday First Aid Kit - Weatherproof Olive Green X-Pac X42 Fabric a.co/d/0fctEW3 - it’s the HUB POUCH - but a hook and loop version. They have it on alpaka site too - but not in hook and loop at this time.

Chums wallet is almost perfect. I wish they used better zippers and added a button, velcro or some other thing to make the sleeve closable.

@@mada310 I put a photo of my family behind the window. I didn't like the window at first, but this solution I find quite charming.

Everything I want is always sold out. I went to the ugly yellow house and all the cool ones are sold out as usual.

The Tchotchke Wallet from Garage Built Gear is what I use. Two pockets for cards/cash and second for airtag/fob.

Great video!! I totally relate, I find myself looking for pouch for my key fog and Apple wallet that I’m going to throw on a backpack.
I like that blue Alpaka one. I use an EDC Pouch in my backpack for tools, flashlight, pen, etc
It's actually the Alpaka Zip Clutch, not the Pro.
I just got the alpaka zip pouch I love it

That one from rickshaw stands out to me, like that size and layout. Thx for sharing
What brand is the small vertical wallet tan and green with leather tan ? Thanks.😊
Brand was “Wolfstone”, purchased from Amazon, no longer listed.
www.etsy.com/shop/wolfstonegear - looks like they are on Etsy now.
Another one to check out: ZeroFued Compact Utility Pouch
I also love me some little pouches!

Can you post the link to the BOOMER alpaka pouch? The links don't redirect to that one specifically unless I'm blind.

Great recommendations! 👍🏻👍🏻
Work it! Work it!
Bellroy Apex slim wallet is the best I've ever purchased. Will have until it falls apart and it'll probably outlast me.
Is it just me, I don't see a single link to any of the products.
try typing words in your browser, i highly recommend it.
I apologize. I will add the links ASAP.
Agree!!
I’ve been using a chums pouch for years check em out
Love some pouches! Is that a new version of the Zip Pouch pro? Mine doesn’t have a big clip on the back and is smaller than that one.
Linked!
Thanks one not zip pouch pro but alpaka zip clutch….
Noted!
all I want is just a small pouch with 2 zippers, one for cards and cash for the other, oh, I'd like it to be waterproof
Check out this one - amzn.to/3vCPmZ3
Not totally waterproof in zippers but good little wallet

A really y good video. Thank you

Chums for the win 🎉
Lol😂 ur funny half of these are better than chums with their horrendous zippers

Just buy a purse already dude
