My husband replaced the hull sensor as your video showed. Currently, I am doing my 3rd load of laundry and it seems to be working well (no horrible grinding sound!). The only thing I would like to add is that removing the main drum bolt was more difficult than it appears in the video (as fcohn1 mentioned). We used a rubberized glove to hold the drum while ratcheting the bolt off and that seemed to help .

    Thank you very much!!!!
I would have never thought it was a hall sensor. Saved me a lot of money.
Took me about an hour to fix. I got mine for 7 bucks. I was ready to buy another washer.
    Great video!!!

This is amazing and worked perfectly! Sears Kenmore Elite Front loader Model No. 796.4107. All bolts/nuts are metric. Hull Sensor replaced. Was pretty tough getting main drum bolt off. Removing Stator off splined hub was complicated by strong magnets. Once I figured that out it went smoothly. Thank you again!! Great video. 😀

Glad it helped. I did so many things before I found the problem.
