    Really incredible pistol. A very nice gentlemen let me shoot his at the range last week and I was blown away by the quality of the gun. It's like a Rolex, a remarkable piece of craftsmanship and precise engineering. The P210, in all it's iterations, is the most beautiful mass-produced handgun ever made imo.

    There's a reason why the Danish military has used this gun for 60+ years, it's an exceptional firearm that the Danes wouldn't let go of for many years, until a few years ago when the SIG P320 was adopted and will eventually replace all of the P210. One of the best 9mm handguns ever made, if not the best.

    • @zumbazumba1
      @zumbazumba1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For a 9mm it has way too much recoil.Even with 2 hands this thing jumps like a goat.

      @@tmaddrummer Yea but design of the gun impacts hugely on recoil,there are guns that are just poorly designed so the recoil is way greater than it should be.Same cartridge can have different result when it comes to recoil in different guns.Revolvers for example kick way more than semi automatics.

    It’s a great gun. Pros; The most impressive feel of that gun is how smooth is the slide. Trigger is really good. Cons; The grips are very thick. It is thicker than the Beretta FS. It sucks that the magazine is not doble stack. Magazine needs to be push straight otherwise it doesn’t slide smoothly, you can see it on the video when changing magazines. Best Regards

    • @borkwoof696
      @borkwoof696 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well the P210 simply is a single stack pistol. If you redesigned it for a double stack mag it would no longer be a P210.

    I have to admit, this is the most accurate gun I've ever fired. Even after the first training, the accuracy of this gun is astonishing. So far, I've used the CZ 85B, CZ TS, Pardini GT 9-1 and I have to admit that nothing can compare to the P210 super target (I'm talking about precision shooting at 25 m). I also had the opportunity to shoot with the CZ SP 01 Viper - an extremely precise pistol without tolerances in construction, but still, the P210 is a class higher!

    I love my SIG P210's and have Swiss in 9mm and 7.65mm, German 9mm and American 9mm. I enjoy them all but have a soft spot for the Swiss made versions which I was fortunate enough to buy before the prices sky rocketed although they were never cheap. One of the few handguns I was able to accurately and consistently hit with at 100yards which is amazing for my skill as I'm average at best. I have used a P210 as my CCW in the winter in a shoulder holster. Thanks for covering one of my favorites. I would love to own this model.

    This is an impressive pistol as most agree. But after watching your video, I beleave that this pistol would benifit from a compinsator designed just for it. And really think they should be built with the .357 sig cartridge barreling for a long range enhancement and to give it a life as a hunting rig. Given it's longer slide the longer barrel would put a little more pop in the .357 cartridge for the heaviest projectiles. But thats just my thoughts.

      I don't think so. Certainly not on a standard issue gun. It is controlled by the right hand thumb, and - as LAV said - the trigger unit kan be taken out as a small basket if unscrewed. Very neat.

    Are the swiss or the German better made than the ones in New Hampshire ?

      The US Version is a pretty cheap imitation of the Swiss original and isn't even a P210, mechanically.
      The German Version compromised its accuracy and reliability in one fell swoop. Five shot test targets fired at 25m have shown a spread comparable to that of SIG’s original ten shot test targets fired at twice that range.

      @@sergejizotov2407 I actually own a German P210 midnight. The target is in no way an indication of how accurate the pistol is. It is very accurate.

      @@terrygardner3163 First of all, I never said the SIG Sauer P210 Legend isn't an accurate and reliable gun. It's just not as accurate and as reliable as the SIG P210. Second, how is the test target not an indication of accuracy, even though it's purpose is to test and prove the gun's accuracy?

      @@sergejizotov2407 I do not have a Legend. I have a P210 Midnight edition from the Mastershop in Germany. It would seem that the test target would be an indication of the accuracy of the gun. However I can handily beat the results of the test target that came with my gun. I can't speak to reliability as I just got the gun and have only fired it 125 rounds. As the frame is made from hammer forged stainless steel blanks and the slide is cnc machined from a cold drawn steel profile and the barrels are made from case hardened steel with hammer forged internals with all cnc machined parts hand fitted. I would say the pistol will be very reliable. I hope You and Yours are well and stay safe.

      @@terrygardner3163 About the terms: The Legend is made in Germany, the Target in the US. The only information I found on the Midnight considering its production indicate that it shares all production techniques used in its sister models Legend and Supertarget, the main difference being the exterior, with a surface coating in the form of a “piano finish” accentuated by gold-plated trigger, cock and screws. This is why I was speaking about the P210 "Legend" and according to the SIG Sauer website, the frame and the internals are machined. May I ask you, where you got your Information from?
      Comparing the "normal" Legend to the older models, here are some of my "complaints":
      1) The heavy frame configuration adopted for all versions of Sauer’s P210 does not appear to add strength at stress points. The few P210 frame failures mostly seen in Scandinavia concomitant with the use of 9mm Para submachine gun ammunition, appear to take place at or near the barrel bed, as a result of the bottom barrel lugs butting against it at the peak of the recoil cycle. This stress point is unlikely to be reinforced by adding extra steel on the outside. It seems that the new frame configuration functions mainly as a production line expedient meant to eliminate several machining steps.
      2) The stainless steels used by Sauer in the construction of their pistols, are unlikely to exhibit the same wear characteristics as carbon steels formerly used by SIG and SAN, in particular appearing to be considerably softer than their predecessors and therefore easier (cheaper) to machine. It remains to be seen if the new models are as long lived as the old ones.
      3) The quench polish quench (QPQ) nitrocarburizing case hardening that Sauer employs on its P210 frames, slides, and magazines, helps to disguise minor imperfections the likes of which stand out in the traditional blued finish applied over the wire brushed and sandblasted surfaces of the SIG P210. As a result, it is no longer necessary to polish steel in order to deliver an attractive surface finish. Modern handguns can be finished with a minimal effort, by spraying, baking, and processing, to be represented in the marketplace as durable, tactical, and hi-tech, and sold as no-maintenance, easy-care, and Hollywood-cool. Along similar lines, it bears notice that unlike the traditional Swiss oxide finish, Sauer’s PVD Nitron finish creates a surface buildup that results in tolerance stacking and complicates the assurance of proper clearances, consistently with anecdotal reports of various malfunctions observed in the Legend by European and American shooters.
      4) Sauer’s firing pin safety, their counterpart to Colt’s universally loathed Series 80 system, accounts for four additional moving parts. The magazine catch and the safety detent add two more each; the recoil spring assembly, three more; and the trigger assembly, one more. All that adds up to twelve extra potential failure points compared to the old SIG P210.
      All that said, I don't think the new guns are bad. The midnight specifically looks fantastic. However, I strongly prefer the old models for the reasons stated above. Considering the accuracy, the ammunition used certainly plays a huge role as well.
      Thanks a lot, I hope You stay safe as well and please don't let me spoil your enjoyment of the new P210. This whole post is just me nitpicking.
