Thank you so much for this video. Saved us loads of money and trouble. Only the last screw on the outside gave us a hard time turning without coming off 😅
Thank you very much! Helped me a lot. BTW, to disattach the window from the door you need to lower it until you see screws through the holes hidden behind the round black rubber lids (has to be removed first of course). Loosen them and then use tape in the upper position to keep the window from falling down. Took me a while to figure out..
Very good video, but the screw on the outside handle (8 mm) can't come out. Just loosen it, and then push the whole handle forward to loosen it from it's plastic clips. We had to loosen the inside wall to reach the handle from both sides to be able to loosen it, which isn't shown in this video.
I tried this and got stuck on trying to remove the large aluminum cover. My problem is that it is permanently stuck at the window. I couldn't see any step you made to disattach the thing from the window. Ii does not come off. I tried with all my strength and weight and it simply does not come off.
I give up. Nobody needs to use this door from now on. It's right side back door. The cover does not come off. I'll have to save up to 300e or whatever does it cost to get it repaired somewhere. Should be able to in couple of months. Absolutely frustrating.
My 2007 Kia has an L-shaped plastic piece that easily breaks at the 90-degree bend. So I watched this video to see if a Hyundai was the same or different. I like that your cable ends have a metal "nugget" at the end. That seems like it would be much more durable. But apparently even the metal nugget can fail and fall off too. :-( Still, the cable routing and overall design of your door is much simpler than my car's, so if you do have to swap out the cable, yours looks much easier to do.
I accidentally loosened my grip on the mechanism that grabbed the cable within the door handle so to speak.. Have to fish it back up before i can finish up.. 🫣

Thank you, this helped me with my aunts car, she is now very grateful 😁👍
Thank you. Very useful in working out how to get the cable attached to the door mechanism. Very fiddly.
Thank you great video
Thankyou for posting this video 👍
Perfect instruction!
Great job. Unfortunately it looks far too difficult for me to perform this repair. I need to buy a case of beer and ask a friend to do this for me.
Did you get it sorted ? How much did it set you back
It is very useful. Thanks for it.
Really good.
