This is such a weird review… 1st I prefer the sound of the keychron over the 2nd board. But, he literally just did a sound test as if that’s all that matters…
He completely ignored the complete metal build, the fact that you can upgrade with many of keychrons own kits, all the extras you get, and the best part is keychrons own software to create custom profiles with both macros and lighting.
This “review” was extremely lacking and was more of a sound test rather than an actual review.

Ummm.... I own this keyboard and it is the BEST keyboard I've ever used and heard. I have the Black side lit keys with the red switches and I feel like I've reached the end of the rabbit hole. I love, love, love the sound. Good review but I disagree with assessment that it's not competitive. You definitely get what you pay for with this keyboard!

I personally wouldn't call the sound "horrible", I have heard way worse keyboards. I think it sounds pretty average stock.

it also depends on the switches, I have this keyboard and I had that same metallic sound with the stock jupiter (banana) switches, but I replaced them with beers and the metallic/ping sound is gone
I would probably recommend the Gem80 over this board though

tbh I liked the sound of Q3 much much better than the sounds of the second noname keyboard. maybe it's me who don't like that clicky sounds as much

Sounds of q3 keycaps is better but stabilisers are terrible as well as long keys that feel hollow.maybe you can mod it and fill the long keys with some foam

Fact is, he’s spot on. I’ve wasted a couple hours of my life trying to get a Q3 SE to sound better than an anvil. You just can’t. And yeah, in the last year and a half the marketplace has changed drastically! there are 10 great keyboards less than $150 that blow this thing out of the water when it comes to its sound profile, design and features. It’s essentially buying an expensive fixer-upper. Epomaker, royal kludge, kemove, wormier, yunzii all deserve a try before ya just throw twice the money at this beautiful, bad sounding , bad keycaped, labor Intensive drunk uncle.

He actually said you should use custom ones and not keychron ones.and also do some masking tape and killa mat modding

The same thing comes in barebone as well.get different switches and stabilizer(not from keychron)
