I run the M&P Competitor ported so this was very helpful. I currently use Sellier and Bellot 115 and looking forward to trying Super Vel 124

@@Mr3dperformance btw update since this video. Super Vel is still my to go for most of my guns. I have also tested Buffalo Creek 124gr and it's probably the most soft shooting stuff I have found that cycles, BUT it doesnt cycle in every gun I have. SO... Make Super Vel 124 your primary if you want, and also try and run some buffalo Creek 124s too and see what guns it runs fine in. If you have malfunctions with that gun, stick to super vel

That’s great to know. Thank you. I’ll try Buffalo out as well 💪🏻

Hmmm….I ordered the sample pack from Super Vel with 115/124/147 but I don’t see 124’s on Buffalo Creek Website

Just picked up some super vel 147s since I couldn’t get a hold of the Syntech 150s. Excited to do some testing

@@JustinV911 Update since I made this video, the Super Vel 124 is my new primary, but I'm also running Buffalo Creek 124gr in the guns that can handle it. It's just a touch softer shooting... But it doesn't cycle reliably in ALL of my guns, so you have to really test it and make sure your gun will feed it reliably

@@FiringLineShooting I appreciate the update ! I actually just picked up a bunch of 124 with your video in mind,
The local shop has it at the cheapest price so seems like a win win.
I also picked up a case of federal 150 for fun

Super Vel rocks and the owners values are supreme. Their 124s are magnificent especially in bigger competition guns be well. If stuck during feeding you can hold the slide and the open hand punch strike the back of the grip so you dont have to bash the optic. Had a batch of surplus norma that got stuck a lot so bad. Edit: those 124 syntechs mimic the hst loads for practice so they are a bit hot not competition centric.

@@LVbibby Of course I know you can assist the slide forward in minor circumstances... This is not that.

@@FiringLineShooting that wasn’t what he was saying. He’s saying hold the slide and smack or push hard on the pistol grip. Not to smack the slide. Just another way to try and clear a stuck slide rather then racking it off the optic

Any thoughts on the 115gr subsonic copper hollow points? I'm considering it for my edc ammo and wanted to know your thoughts/opinion.. Thanks

    • @FiringLineShooting
      @FiringLineShooting  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@inOZ8434 I actually have never seen or heard of this as an EDC option. I believe I have heard of things like this in the competitive world, but the only ammo that I (or anybody else in the communities I am involved in) use is either Speer Gold Dot or Federal HST. Usually a 124 or 147 variant. And usually a +P option. What you are describing sounds like a low power round, and I would be interested in shooting it, but not for EDC.

not idea why my grouping using brazer 124s on my m&p9 is quite a lot better than supervel cert select. practice is ok, but when i need to do qualification. i will switch to use brazer.

What are your thoughts on supervel 124s vs 147s?
At my local shop there’s a significance price difference
Wondering 1 for training and 1 for match? Or even run 124s for a match?

@@JustinV911 Honestly I would just run the 124s for both. I probably will

Hey Man! Great video. I enjoy scrolling youtube and finding shooters doing honest, unbiased reviews. It's also cool to see our remanufactured ammo competing with the big dogs' new box ammo. We offer all these options in new as well, but it seems we do a good job on reman and the volume shooters save that extra money. Great review. -Mike, Owner/Janitor/test dummy
