      Your welcome 🙂 yes it can take awhile to work out where to cut the plants. Once you do and you do it a few times, you get faster at decision making 😁

      @@mickssucculents I've really come a long way this year, I use to drop plants off at my moms for beheadings lol I've made a lot of babies this year and learned how slow things move in winter vs now in spring...amazing little plants! Thanks for the awesome videos! 🙏💓love from Canada! Happy growing!

    BEAR'S PAW COTYLEDON TOMENTOSA
    Rare shrub succulent with fuzzy green leaves that are tipped with tiny "claws". Water every couple of weeks in summer, and only about once a month in winter. Loves bright, indirect sunlight

    Really wish I could see you pot the stem cuttings.

    • @mickssucculents
      @mickssucculents  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With roots from being in a cell after propagation or a cutting that has been propagated straight away?

    • @kaysweetthang
      @kaysweetthang 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mickssucculents with cuttings being put into your potting mix right away. I just want to know if I'm doing something wrong. I feel like my cuttings aren't thriving.
      Also, I placed a cotyledon orbiculata cv (not the unicorn poop but the red w/ farina) leaf cutting - with no stem - in some potting mix and it seemed to be growing new bunny ears. But then the bunny ears essentially came off of the leaf and I'm unsure if they're going to end up rooting or not.

    Great help..thank you so much.....question; do you keep the cutting moist after you put the callused cutting in dry cactus soil? Or leave it dry to root as is?

    Oh woow. Will this pruning technique work for other succulents like the crassula ovata jade plant for example?

    You sell some of these beauties? Where at? So pretty! I was on a mission researching about cotyledon pendens because I just purchased one and a bunch of leaves fell off and shipping which I find to be quite common so it's perfectly okay but I was wondering if they propagate my leaves but I'm not really finding a lot of info about it but I did just come across your page and seeing all these beauties you've got.

      Ok I just got my answer about leaves. Not very reliable and successful but I'm gonna try with them and see what happens. I find that just leaving my succulent leaves straight on a table or paper plate, I have a lot of luck getting roots and babies. So maybe I'll try that with these guys and skip putting them on soil.

      Normally they do well from cuttings. I don't bother with leaves for Cotyledon 🙂 we do sell these Succulents on our website www.micks-succulents.com.au.

    So one question I've had about the flapjacks for a while is, do they propagate by leaves?

    • @RobloxGamer12941

      Hi Jennifer, they can strike from a leaf. I tend to find that they pup really well when they get to a certain maturity 🙂👍

    The leaves of mine are falling very easy. If I touch it like you do, all the leaves will fall of. Can you please tell me how to avoid it? Is it beacause of not enough water?

    • @mickssucculents
      @mickssucculents  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Georgi, sounds like the plant is getting too much water or your potting mix is holding water for too long. Try to reduce the amount water you give and/or try to add more mineral to it for better drainage like either pumice, scoria, pea gravel or crushed granite. Hope that helps 🙂👍

    I bought a cotyledon pendens from home depot cuz it looked cute and bushy but I didn't realise it was etiolated. How could I help it revert back to its chubby self ?

    • @mickssucculents
