    I'd like to try pollinating a creeping Sedum species like Album, Sexangulare, Hispanicum, Lydium or similar with stored pollen from a crinkle leafed Echeveria 'Cheyenne'. Any tips by any chance? Are Sedums, Echeverias and Graptopetalums even generally compatible or is that rather the exception?

      @soji-yeunmochi-con1162 Hey, that's all good 🙂👍 we use a Succulent and Cacti potting mix. It has much better drainage than other mixes and has been good for Lithops. Hope that helps 👍

    • @mickssucculents
      @mickssucculents 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @soji-yeunmochi-con1162 that's ok. Most nursery/garden centres should have a Succulent and Cacti potting mix. If you can't, then try using washed river sand and gravel will work. If you can add some sort of compost to the sand and gravel, that would be ideal 🙂👍

    Can you please suggest shade cloth for 30-35 °C (86-95 °F) Summers? Based on your video I am thinking of 50% white as I need it for outdoor succulents (mainly Sedums, Echeverias, Crassulas and Pachyphytums) without a greenhouse. Spring is only 20-25 °C (68-77 °F), do I need a different one for Spring or do I need any?

      Glad you found the video helpful 😀👍 yes you will notice the flower getting plumpier when pollination has worked. A nuisance which I have in my area (Outside the USA) is black rot - While my Echeverias seem mostly resistant to pests, black rot (which I assume is a fungus) may hit at anytime. The Echeverias would grow well for few months without any problem. A black rot infestation may start either at the base (from the roots or anywhere on the base of the stem) as well as at the growth tip. In either case, the rot spreads very quickly and the plant may drop its leaves overnight. The rosette appears to "shatter" without notice and drop all of its leaves almost at once.
