- Hammocks are not just for lounging away the day under the maple tree. Hammocks have their place in camping as well. The are extremely versatile in that you can be in almost any environment that has trees and a successful camp can be made. All you need is two secure trees that are about 10-15 feet apart.
I use the Atlas strap system as my suspension, but you could use any suitable cordage as long as it doesn’t hurt the tree.
Try and get the finished angle to about 30 degrees. That will give you a good place to begin and make fine adjustments from there.

I love an open hammock mate,And if the bugs get to much put some insect repellent on a tissue and put it under you hammock.That keeps them bugs away.

Thank you. I just started in February and I have to admit, other than Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pin It, and Instagram I'm not sure on how else to spread the word. As you well know, there can be quite of bit of work involved with the entire process. I'm still learning.
