We have a long way to go para maka-level ang na-achieve ng Venezuela sa lahat ng beauty pageants esp in MU and MI. Tama si Pia that we cannot be complacent kasi baka next year ligwak na tayo and Thailand and Indonesia are getting stronger at lumalaban na rin si Vietnam. Thailand is very hungry for their 3rd crown. IMHO personality and stage presence ang dapat i-develop natin sa mga Miss Philippines on top of comm skills.
So true...yung personality na palaban at very confident sa sarili. Com skills will follow pag ang kandidata may tiwala mismo sa sarili niya at sa kakayahan nya.
Truth, lalo na't usually mas gusto ng judges ang kandidatang natural ang galawa at hindi patty

I agree on Pia when she said that on her time most of the time she is alone. Especially sa mga hindi naman major events ng BBP. Say for example yung kwento nya about red charity gala where she wore a blue gown and the alta madams predicted that she'll win pag blue gown. I admire her when she said before the event she arrived with no make up then nagpunta sa CR nag make up at nag gown and pak! Reyna na ang aurahan. Ngayon parang super pa glam team na sila lahat.

Miss Universe should have a merchandise na pwede mapurchase online. like fans can buy the crown and sash replicas. or mga barbies na Miss Universe, or yung simple pagawa ng sash per country lang. sa dami ng MU fans, for sure dami ng kita nila dun. hahaha

Among our 4 Miss Universe winners, it was on Pia that I had no inkling that she was on her way of giving us the 3rd crown. In 1969, when I saw Gloria Diaz in person, prior to her departure to compete, I had this gut feeling that she would. This happened again in 1973, when Margie earned the right to represent us in Athens, Greece and again my instinct didn't fail me. With Catriona, our 3rd Miss Universe, no less than Pia, confirmed that when she saw Cat, our 4th crown is in the bag. Though Pia's victory came to me as a surprise, I was truly overwhelmed by her feat. Who cares??? Everybody loves a winner.

Catriona doesn't need to come on this show? Why should she? Besides she is very busy and Nicole was enough. I followed all reigns so I pretty much know their stories and I still say catriona is enough for me. Her interviews do not bore me.

I wish pia can show us the ring from dic... olivia got a tiara from miss usa. Bat kaya di gumawa ng tiara ang dic for the winners. I dont think mikimoto also made tiaras for demi and cat nor iris receiving a tiara of ths nexus.

The thing with the DIC crown is that despite it being a challenge to mix and match with outfits, it's versatile in such way that it can be worn by any pageant winner of any gender, kahit lalaki pa yan. Worst crown for me is the one Dayana was crowned with. So faceless. No wonder she reportedly didn't like it.
Regalo kasi sakanya ng Vietnam yun gawa nga nang doon siya kinoronahan pero yes totoo wala man lang kaamor amor yung itsura.

Tita lavigna, i think Pia thought that training camps are still much needed kase nag-mutate/nag-eevolve naman sila sa panahon.. for example in this era, trainer needs to recalibrate their style of training kase pansin na nga na robotics...

To me there is no such thing as over training but the problem probably lies in the fact that the girl is not given space to know herself, to inject herself in the training program. Kaya naging mukhang mechanical at scripted na ang performance. The training should fit the girl like the glove. Also, we have to adjust to what Miss Universe is looking for. They are not looking for a model, they want a role model. I know that Stella Araneta has a good heart and she is motherly and all but here way is outdated and her wardrobe is pang matrona na. Kung walang pang call from the people for her to step down, di pa cya makikinig and allow Filipino designers to dress our girls.
