Well basically those were just only the opinions of Miss Nicole. She might say that one has not the strongest answer because she was judging in a beauty queen's perspective. That's why we have diverse judges so that they'll pick the one that could create a unity amidst the diversity of perspectives.

Zozibini Tunzi said "WE ARE THE MOST POWERFUL BEINGS ON THE WORLD" ,she never said we are the most "SUPERIOR".Nicole & other critics are deliberately misinterpreting her powerful historic answer in order to discredit her. Its funny that they are only focusing on on sentence of her entire statement,conveniently not mentioning that Zozibini expounded on her answer further by stating that "NOT BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO BUT BECAUSE SOCIETY HAS LABELLED WOMEN TO BE". Mexico in her final answer said:"WE SEE PERFECT FACES,PERFECT BODIES, NOTHING IS REALLY",which is a glaring misinterpretation of reality as she implied that everything on social media is superficial. But the likes of Nicole won't challenge her on that,instead she is showering her with compliments for being "sincere", her answer was dull,long,the delivery shacky & a lot was lost in translation. PR & Mexico's answers were too pegeantry & generic- we have heard it all before,again & AGAIN. ZOZIBINI was authentic,commanding & assertive . The world is evolving & so are the standards of beauty,it was inevitable that someone of Zozibini calibre will win the MUO tittle in order to effect a change & challenge those misguided stereotypes.

After hearing Nicole's review, I still chose Miss South Africa. Her answer was very impressive and so inspiring especially to women who doubted themselves. They can be the leader or father of the house and so, they should not be afraid. They should not limit themselves.

But the question for Ms. Thailand is too difficult compared to the other candidates so of course, the chances of winning would be lower. Do you get what I mean? It's unfair in a sense that her chances of winning is lower than the other candidates because the question given to her is hard.

A threat to one's security is a also a threat to one's privacy. In the same manner that a threat to one's privacy is also a threat is to one's security. So, how can you choose just one? This is like choosing between your heart and brains? Can you choose just one? Impossible.

I think if she answered either would have been good. There is no right or wrong answer. She just had to give a fair and reasonable reason why privacy or security for her was more important.

Thailand got the toughest question tbh
Last year, Catriona got the toughest question. A Miss Universe should always be prepared no matter how hard the question is. Just my opinion. But Fahsai was super beautiful that night. Just that perhaps twas not meant to be
tbh, Mexico delivered the most beautiful answer, in my opinion. she was very clear & specific, and relevant. no gray areas, no over the top gender comparison, just plain message that was really relatable towards young women. and if you really take heed of her every word she went down to the level of understanding of young girls. i can tell she has gone through a lot of things that she was ale to learned those herself as a girl!

Miss South Africa did such a spectacular job. Her speaking skills were simply unmatched. She deserved to win, hands down!
I won't let anybody invade my privacy... Because if they do, that means they're not protecting me enough... We need to be secured but at the same time we also had to keep our privacy.
Fun Fact: Nicole competed with Miss Puerto Rico (Madison Berrios) in Miss Grand International 2016 where she ended up as 3rd RU and Nicole as 1st.

Makes sense.... I can sense a bit of bias when it comes to Puerto Rico.. In pageants one is not supposed to use words like "such as" but she found no fault with Puerto Rico.. Nicole was definitely bias

I'm sorry , I think Zozi answered the question quite well . She clearly said that the leaders of today aren't doing enough and the government needs to do more ‼ The question was clearly and well answered ‼. She had one of the strongest answers in the top 5 ‼.
Zozi said that future leaders could do a little bit more. She didn't really said something about leaders. Instead, she shifts to individual. That for me missed the mark.

She was offering a solution for the problem. She's a critical thinker, she knows how to analyse situations and look for solutions, that's why she WON.
Nicole says it was a good idea from zuzi, she mean that zuzi has imbodied her aura as a good speaker when she speak.. the question was quitely easy and it is up to somebody on how they elaborate it in a nice deep idea to talk in front of the crowd and zuzi has it skill that u can hpnotizd by her aura as a good speaker, and she did well ❤️❤️

Mike Oliver Catriona was definitely one of the strongest candidates in the history of Miss Universe...her ability to speak and answer questions off the cuff is just amazing
I believe when judging these things. It will always come down on to how someone made you feel.
Mexico had me hanging. It was great but just leaves you wanting a bit more.
SA made you feel happy. Her eyes and body labguage speaks strongly as the message she is delivering.
People can forget the details of what you say but How someone makes you feel. the chills you get when hearing someone deliver that well will make a lasting memory

And I kinda pity her during the Q and A. I thought she had the most difficult question. I think she had a pretty solid answer bt I dont actually know how you'd answer such a polarizing question.

They all deliver substantial and relatable amswer, because their answer can be perceived in any angle, but the one who had cause me goosebumps,so much realization and impact was Zozibini

I honestly feel like many people misinterpreted Zozi when she said that women are powerful beings. It was in no way trying to say that females are more superior than males. I'm glad the judges understood what she meant and understand what she stands for.
So for those who probably misinterpreted that. Can you elaborate it please? Because I am no way can think other context of that.

In all honesty, i am more moved with Mexico’s answer. I really loved her answer, like i was in awe and i am not even a young girl anymore Lol and i feel like she deserves to be at least 1st RU. But happy with SA win ❤️

I don't know if it's just me that Mexico and Puerto Rico's answer describes Miss SOUTH AFRICA. I mean their message is actually what Miss South Africa shown to everybody. 😊😇💕

My stand for Ms. Thailand's Question:
Both are impprtant but if I have to choose one, I believe that security is more important between the two. What will you do with your privacy if your life is already at risk. I will give the government my permission to invade my privacy as long as they will keep me safe, make me at peace so I could sleep at night without worrying anything. Thank you ❤
In public speaking, if you are given the chance to chooce one, you really have to choose. Miss Universe Q and A is like a debate competition. If you will play safe and just meet at the center, people will perceive you as always in doubt and not a good spokesperson which is very important if you want to be a Miss Universe.

I also had hard time thinking how to answer this question, how much more if on the spot. Nonetheless, she answered it well. South africa made me teary eyed with her answers.. she moved me.. and thats what sets her apart to miss mexico and puerto rico who also gave good answers.. But everytime south africa say something there is always conviction in her speech even with the word that she wants to highlight.. you will really listen to her.. everyone can speak well and gave good answer but not all will have authenticity and conviction on how she delivered her answer.. goosebumps all over..

I just love how smart and intelligent Nicole Cordoves is, watching her in showtime and how she judge is so amazing, she’s amazing.
What you need to understand is it's not so much on the rightness or wrongness of the answer. It's on the delivery of the message or showcasing your stand. The manner they speak, does it command attention? It's an art like the pasarela and the slow-mo turn. South Africa is impeccable on her delivery. All three gave very good answers. I actually loved the substance in Puerto Rico and Mexico's answer but it was eclipsed by South Africa's delivery. She's the third Ms. Universe that gave the most memorable answer in the Q and A. The first two are Lara Dutta (2000) poised, very calm, fluid elegant and - Catriona Gray (2018) sincere, heart felt, shared personal experience.
I completely agree! ANYONE can form and rehearse the perfect answer, but you cannot fake sincerity and you cannot force authenticity. It radiates from within and South Africa truly embodies that. Miss Mexico sounded too mechanical and dull, in my opinion. If I read what she said on paper, she was spot on, but it didn't resonate as deeply as it could. Maybe if she spoke in Spanish, more passion would have been given out.

Puerto Rico basically advocated censorship in her top 5 question. Who is decide what is hate speech given the snowflake generation we have today who wants to ban clapping? That alone she should not even enter the top 3 but the women judges no doubt agree as they are faux empowered women. If you are empowered, it is sticks and stones.

During the top 5 Q&A, i really liked Thailand's answer because the question was very difficult to answer. Among the five(5) girls, she gave one of the best answers, though i really didn't want her to proceed to top 3 because i didn't see her as a potential MU, but still she answered it well.
Ms. Thailand did have the most difficult question. Security is a government accountability; privacy is a personal responsibility. She made sense with meeting in the middle, since different entities own either sides of the question.
But still she should be aware of that, like duh every miss universe there are political questions asked on the girls
Unfortunately these type of answers cannot make an impact unlike questions about women's rights, climate change, social media etc. You can give the right answer but its not quotable like miss Nicole said

I was rooting for Ms Puerto ever since she won her national pageant however Ms SA has the strongest, very specific, on-point answer among the top 3. Now, when you see here media week, you can clearly see that she’s a wide reader and can carry conversations effortlessly and she does this with so much humility in her demeanor; she’s authentic and natural. That’s why she won.
As for Ms Mexico, she gave the very first thought which most people have when facing that question. Ms Puerto Rico also gave a very definitive answer. But Ms SA gave the most risky and powerful answer of them all. It was like an arrow being shot right through each and everyone who’s listening to her.

When I first watch Miss South Africa I was in awe of how confident she is in answering questions then when I read about her background I found out she is a graduate of public relations management and also work in that area so no surprise there! Miss Universe now is someone who can speak and if she speaks will the people listen to her? I hope Miss Philippines Universe next year will be good at that.❤

YOU SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE TO HANDLE THE SCREENING OF APPLICANTS OF MPU 2020. Because that ability of a person imanates from within the person. one cannot be trained of that quality in a person. It's inborn. It's in a kind of personality. The more we listen the more we fall inlove. Catriona has that quality. The more they speak the more they become beautiful. @Realz Zein she kinda looks a bit like SALMA HAYEK... She could have used better make up that night. Because like Colombia they look less pretty onstage than they did in videos and photos. Her face was kinda a bit too white... if she had a bit of a tan, they would have crowned her instead.

Miss Thailand's question was too technical and political. She knew that if she says privacy, the US will cheer for her, but she's from a country that does business with many countries including China where security is top priority. So I think she answered the question well. But she didn't make it to Top 3 because she didn't take a side. But life is not fair, so let's move on and congratulate Miss South Africa.

I dont understand why did you guys bash this lady for giving her insights about the top 5 Q&A. She was just sharing her thoughts since she is a trainer for beauty pageant. Although she was 1st RU MGI but her experience gave her ability to do this sharing session. I dont think so she was bashing all the queens.

You as an individual when last did you tell or educate people about the climate change in your community? So if not, the message was also directed to as an individual. She could have expounded more about politicians not doing enough. Instead she diverted her answer; she went a bit out of context. Thailand gave a better answer.
@ismael khashane rather than elaborate more on what can/should be done by the gov/leaders to fix the environmental issue, she diverted to something else. Thats what nicole means to say about SA' answer. However SA made it sounds very convincing and she sounded right, thats why we're buying every single words coming out from her mouth.
She basically just answered half of the question. She said the there's more that the leaders can do but there's a follow up question that asks what more can the leaders do to fight climate change. Instead of answering this by giving a suggestion to the leaders, she answered it by giving part of the responsibility to the people.

My point is...the women who showed and compete, regardless of where they came from are beautiful. There is range in beauty and that should be acknowledged.
I get this is a beauty pageant and historically there was a certain type of woman that was considered beautiful and If those standards were upheld, Phillipines would not have 3 title holders and 10 consecutive placements. I could even go deeper with this and present a series of truths but to do so would discredit the hard work many of these women put in....especially from the Phillipines to proudly represent their country and people with honor and dignity.

Thailand's question was really the hardest. She should have gotten in to top 3. She still did well.
I think if she could have given examples of security issues (specific examples) her answer will be more relatable and will make more sense to the audience and the judges
I wouldn't say she would've gotten in top 3. If you noticed her look: gown, hair, earcuffs, all those resembled Catriona's last year. If I were a judge during the competiton, I would've done the same- to not include her in the top 3. Judging by looks alone she didn't have her own personality. They want a woman who has a strong personality to be the spokesperson of the organization as well as for her cause.
Hera Tsukiyama couldn’t agree less!! Miss universe originally a beauty contest, in my view Thailand definitely in top 3 and she did ok with her answer!!!! However according to the performance she was very convincing but the question was throwing the crow to her!!

I think miss SA gave the most unique answer compared to the remaining girls. Miss PR's answer is a shorter, stronger and more comprehensive version of mexico's answer tho that her (mexico) answer is really relatable and simple but the two girls gave their answers in a more persuasive and motivativing way compared to miss mexico and miss SA and PR ended their speech with the most impact.

An irony of it is that, few of us on this commentary section don’t have in us to answer instantly like these pageants. However we are quick to judge and we are bias about it after a long review of this competition. Let’s grow up and accept the results, no one will ever be satisfied in these competitions. Every country will always feel cheated and every viewer will always have a different opinion.
