Love that you say he has/is having some “big feelings”. Because we all experience them, and while it can be overwhelming and maybe even a bit frustrating. There’s no shame in feeling however we may be. And your patience is so commendable 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

So if D likes background noise, have you tired just playing music?? My toddler loves music and is so happy just having random music playing during the day!! And hang in there Mama hopefully the overstimulating feeling will decrease as he gets older 🫂

When my son did that as a toddler i walked back out and told him to let me know when you want up. Yes he screamed but he learned. If mom was there to pick him up then he better get up. Just gotta take control of the situation otherwise you'll create more meltdowns later on. Mother of 3 grown men here.

i think you’re possibly too soft on the kid. it’s not his choice to make you stand around bc he wants to just stay in the bed, in actuality he’s testing how much n how often he can control you and you allow it thus making everything harder for yourself. scoop him out of bed/crib and if he cries he cries, it’s part of the process you’ve created for yourself through again allowing leniency just bc he’s a kid. you’re the adult you call the shots.
Omg there’s no way you’re the parent of a toddler if this is your take. Yeah she can definitely take the kid out, but if standing in a room with him prevents 1 of 10000 meltdowns in a day, I think it is worth it. You pick your battles when you’re in the trenches.
@@Saria121 nah if your kid has 10000 meltdowns in a day then that's your fault as a parent and it's time to reconsider how you've raised him. Of course he's gonna raise hell if you've coddled him all his life then suddenly become strict, setting boundaries is a long process.
Lol my 1st did that too! I switched to a toddler bed and her morning attitude change. I guess she wanted more independence. She now joins me in the kitchen when she is ready to get up for the day. I watch her on the monitor and for some reason she likes to look at a book before she exits her room lol😂
That’s definitely what he thinks! children are egocentric and they believe the world revolves around them. It’s completely normal. it’s a process that takes time for them to understand that the world does not revolve around them. Apparently sometimes it takes longer for some because I’ve seen adults think that the world revolves around them, I guess they never learned that it doesn’t😂

Haha I have such a love/ hate relationship with screens for my kids too. I love it to get something done or wake up. But it makes them moody. 😂
