Abrasive sponges will scratch stainless steel. That’s why you see scratches in older stainless steel sinks. Even a sink mat will keep pots and pans from scratching the bottom part of the sink. Using a softer sponges with liquid cleanser is better but cleaning powder like Ajax, that will scratch up the sink. Now I feel like cleaning! 😂😁
