I’m not gonna give you any hassle over joining the Stormcloaks (especially for this run), but I’d be interested in seeing you join the Imperials at some point. Though admittedly the Civil War quests all seem pretty similar regardless of faction.
Yeah they are both the same really except for the final mission where with the imperials you attack Windhelm instead of Solitude, I just side with the Stormcloaks because I simply think Galmar and Ulfric are more interesting characters than Tullius or Rikke
@@Nerbit13098 I will say, I found Rikke to be a very interesting character, if only because she only serves the Empire out of duty. It does actually cause her some moral dilemmas, which are rather neat to see.
I was laughing uncontrollably at "that's fuckin Obi-Wan Kenobi" 16:48 "he stands at a massive disadvantage as we are literally fighting upon the highest of grounds."
The empire arnt invading, they have protected skyrim for a very long time, i can see why you would see the stormcloaks as good, i did when i first played skyrim, to put it into perspective, the empire revere talos as much as the stormcloaks but they just fought a very costly war and have to submit to the thalmor a little, this includes banning the worshop of talos, however tulius has a few voicelines that make it clear they intend to fight the thalmor soon and bring back so imagine while the empire are trying to regain strengh to protect tamriel, some random rebel group kills their king, and starts being racist to dark elves and wood elves who havent done a thing wrong, the stormcloak rebellion as a whole did nothing but make skyrim easier for the high elves to take. (you can probably find a better summary of this by looking it up though, sorry for bad punctuation)
"We could sit here and debate the vitrue of politics of an 11 year old game all day, but I don't wanna, so here is me using my force powers on some bandits instead." Pretty much a rough summary of the Prequels.

This will be glorious! Quick start a hello there chain, for Nerbit has blessed us with a video of playing as Obi-wan! Also I have a question, can you beat Skyrim with weaponized junk? Basically you can only use weapons and armor the mod adds, which let's stuff like bowls to be used as weapons, and buckets and such as armor! Thank you for the content, keep up your great work!
So as it turns out, Obi-wan would have been able to mercilessly strike Vader down the first time if had he brought back up. Chances are he probably choose to fight Vader alone on flat ground just to give the old tin man a sporting chance. Jokes aside however this has given me an idea for a future run: Can you beat Fallout 4 as a B1 Battle Droid? Clanking around the commonwealth, laying waste to any republic dogs? Roger, roger.
You should’ve gone with the dark beotherhood. Sure it’s a bit out of character but you do get to kill the emperor (which im assuming means plapatine with this mod)
You really should have joined the Dark Brotherhood and done their questline. What better way to play Skyrim as Obi-Wan Kenobi than assassinating The Emperor?
yknow, watching the dragon final blow for the first time in a while makes me realize how hilariously non lethal it is. We just slice at its jaw and the cut the side of its mouth 3 times and it somhow dies even though we never hit any vitals
Wait, do people really consider the Stormcloaks to be the "evil" option? I get that they're prejudice and what not, but from a player's perspective, the Imperials literally tried to execute you for no reason. Right at the beginning of the game "He's not on the list? - oh well, kill him any way." Why would you EVER join the Imperials after that incident?
I know this is a two-year old comment but...honestly? In a realistic situation, where you were caught *near* enough to the Stormcloaks, you are from the Empire's perspective rebels, and its better safe than sorry. But for me? Its how Ulfric does nothing for the Dark Elves of Windhelm, and honestly? I cannot for the life of me, betray Jarl Ballin' Ballin' by sieging Whiterun, in the one run I ever did of Skyrim as a Stormcloak, I felt immense regret after Whiterun, and never felt good with the run afterwards. The Empire has its faults, but Hadvar was always respectful, and sure Ralof is as well, but Ralof didn't exactly speak up in our defense, nor did any other Stormcloak. I get why Ulfric didn't, but he also cheated in his duel with Torygg by using the Voice, so... I'd rather side with the Empire personally, esp since its clear Tullius & Rikke hold no ill will for what happened, and want to move forward. Granted, I like the Stormcloak General armor aesthetically, I also like the Imperial Sets about equally.
@@OnyxXThePunch I'm sure there are hundreds of arguments for both sides, all I know is that the thalmor stand to gain the most by drawing out the conflict and forcing their potential enemies to waste as much resources as possible on eachother than allowing either side time to recover

"We could sit here and debate the virtual politics of an 11 year old game, but I don't wanna."
Gigachad way of handling this.
If there isnt at least 1 "hello there" joke i will be severely disappointed
I’m not gonna give you any hassle over joining the Stormcloaks (especially for this run), but I’d be interested in seeing you join the Imperials at some point.
Though admittedly the Civil War quests all seem pretty similar regardless of faction.
Yeah they are both the same really except for the final mission where with the imperials you attack Windhelm instead of Solitude, I just side with the Stormcloaks because I simply think Galmar and Ulfric are more interesting characters than Tullius or Rikke
Imagine if the Civil War questlines were like the NCR/Legion lines in FNV.
@@skipperxiv9401 keep dreaming! Although I sure hope VI will be more like Obsidians games, with more unique branches and outcomes for the quests.
Both runs are basically the same slog, yes. The only real difference is one you join the Empire, the other you join the Thalmor's puppets.
@@Nerbit13098 I will say, I found Rikke to be a very interesting character, if only because she only serves the Empire out of duty. It does actually cause her some moral dilemmas, which are rather neat to see.
If you think the Empire are the good guys, you are truly lost.
I'd kill to see an Emperor Palpatine run using only the Sparks spell or a Sith Lightning mod
that time has come but there is one thing i need you to do it involves the younglings
It’s insane to hear someone with my accent with quality content on youtube. Love what you’re doing bro
This is my favourite Star Wars game.
Describing your character as "Okay-Wan Kenobi" was actually kinda clever.
20:09 shouldn't have been as funny as it was.
'Somehow, Death Star blew up' - Obi-Wan Kenobi
Lor San Tekka was the guy at the beginning of the Force Awakens! He was on Jakku and gave BB-8 the map to Luke Skywalker!
Yep, him and Esbern were both played by the late Max Von Sydow, also congrats on being the first person to get the reference :)
Hooray, validation.
Did anyone else notice the option "subscribe, my brother" when speaking to the door at 9:40? That was well placed!
It would've been perfect if the Thalmor had Sith robes and red lightsabers and the Thalmor wizards would only shoot lightning. 😆
2:58 I'm surprised the spike pit wasn't replaced with a Sarlak pit.
Beating skyrim as the senator using only shock spells seems to be closer and closer now
calling Vasha in the dark brotherhood quest an innocent caused me several layers of pain.
9:40 sooooo... sense when was the password subscribe my brother?
I was laughing uncontrollably at "that's fuckin Obi-Wan Kenobi" 16:48 "he stands at a massive disadvantage as we are literally fighting upon the highest of grounds."
I've always viewed the Stormcloaks as the good guys seeing as Skyrim is their homeland and the Imperials are the invading force
15:10 Esbern is played by Max von Sydow, who also played the old man (Lor San Tekka) from the start of Episode VII.
"We could sit here and debate the vitrue of politics of an 11 year old game all day, but I don't wanna, so here is me using my force powers on some bandits instead." Pretty much a rough summary of the Prequels.
"When I went to get the horn in the shape of a piece of paper" I lost it laughed way more than I should have 😂😂😂
I kinda wanna see an Ashoka Tano duel wield only run.
Small note on decapitating enemies with helmets. I once chopped off the head of Miraaks cultists and while the mask stayed on the body, the head just flew off like normal...
Thank you Todd Howard
You should’ve added a rule:
Before engaging any enemy/enemies you would have to jump from an elevated location and audibly say “Hello there”.
General Kenobi
You are a bold one
"The inevitable rematch in the show" I really hope there isn't, otherwise "when I left you I was but the learner now I am the master" makes no fucking sense.
Hey thanks man, and I've messed around with that mod before would make for a pretty funny video lol
@@Nerbit13098 Hello there
@@Nerbit13098 yes it would, and thank you for making such great content!
@@iLoveBuckets69 This guy has obviously never played The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe
@@iLoveBuckets69 ikr, but sadly the mod author labeled then as such, ahwell, at least you can make a companion wear a bucket now!
Honestly it's lore accurate even if you think the stormcloaks are evil, jedi weren't exactly kind either. COUGH COUGH* child kidnapping COUGH*
Stormtroopers with bows. Guess they really learned something from Ewoks
All Hail to Ulfric, you are the High King!
yknow, watching the dragon final blow for the first time in a while makes me realize how hilariously non lethal it is.
People call the Stormcloaks evil because some Nords in one (1) city are racist, but gleefully support literal Neo-Nazis in Ukraine. Very strange!
Honestly, The Senile Scribbles parody series offers the best explanation as to why both the Imperials and Stormcloaks are evil/wrong
Yes it does 👍
"But the Stormcloaks are evil!"
Yeah? The Jedi order was also evil. They just lost to a different evil guy
15:09 yes I most definitely understand this reference… can I have my heart now?
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as The Steel Samurai? Katana with power armor only
Been almost a year since I’ve played Skyrim, it’s actually a little cool and refreshing to see it, cool vid also bro
I mean you are Nerbit...I guess I can let you joining the Stormcloaks go, just this once haha!
Great video man, hope your next few weeks go well!
12:55 "It tells me to head to Riverwood and meet my least favorite character"
I think you mean OUR least favorite character
I'm purely an anti thalmor guy, and ending the civil war no matter who wins hurts their plans so it doesn't matter to me who wins
A stormcloak win is good for the thalmor tho it displaces the empire and leaves skyrim alone to fight them
@@OnyxXThePunch I'm sure there are hundreds of arguments for both sides, all I know is that the thalmor stand to gain the most by drawing out the conflict and forcing their potential enemies to waste as much resources as possible on eachother than allowing either side time to recover
@@OnyxXThePunch Yeah, because that worked so well for the Thalmor in Hammerfell lol
@@Evarakeus you do realize people learn and improve especially in strategy.
Look at a map of the region
A sith playthrough would be so cool too in my opinion I’m definitely downloading this mod when i get home
Always love seeing a new Nerbit video come out. Just gonna throw out an idea that I'd love to see! Do you think you could possibly beat Skyrim using only shouts? 🤔
the reason tullius was at the embassy, was because you progressed far enough in the stormcloak civil war so he gets paranoid and decides to go to the embassy
Honestly the storm cloaks are no different from the rebels actualy come to think of it they have better moral compus than the rebellion because before attacking WR they discussed the casualties and held off on attacking it imediately the only reason WR was attacked was because the Jarl of WR couldnt swallow his pride.
Lmao, good one.
@@2-bit567 and exactly how is the rebellion morally better than the stormcloaks might i remind you they were responsible for the deaths of possibly millions of civilians on both deathstars and thats without calculating the deaths of people the city size debris hit
