Thanks guys - some exciting updates and even though I have a Rytm instead of a Syntakt, the walkthrough was a good refresher/reminder of how to use all the great stuff we got last year. Impromptu 303 master class was clutch!
Thanks a lot for this dispatch episode! Could you please add some chapters to this video so we can navigate easier through it? That would be much appreciated 🥰
I was installing the new firmware on my SYNTAKT while watching the video, very good job as always. 1:04:13 > Got a question , I didn't know about that feature for the Syntakt. It seems to be OK on the DIGITAKT > IT says AEOLian ROOT NOTE 'C" > As the keyboard indicates C D D# F G G# A# C. When I was testing this on my Syntakt, it did not work properly. To be more specific I even tried to replicate the same thing and from C jumps directly to E - so no D or D# - and E is not even included on the scale. Pressing down the trigger + the encoder I only get C E G#. Could you guys confirm that the scale quantization works properly on the Syntakt? THANKS!
That's so sad that Digitakt's II Overbridge doesn't give you access to one - at least - isolated FX track, with delay, reverb and chorus, as it already exists on the Syntakt version. Look forward to it! 😇
@_wrks turns out i didn't have the folder it was installing it too added. Strange the Syntakt picked up just fine. I didn't have the avid folder added, but once I found the VST and added the folder, it now works.
@@tamthetamtam having stereo sampling without mono capability is crazy. what if I want to sample a guitar or a mic input? there's tons of use cases for mono sampling...
@@brendand9937i imagined the Digitakt 2 would have the same functionality as the 1 You can choose 1 input or both in the recording settings, you can’t on the 2 ? Or does it flip it in stereo automatically? Weird
The keyboard behavior in Grid Machine is super awkward, the updated manual says in Grid Machine the keyboard should bypass all scale modes and just play the slices 1-16, 17-32 and so on but that's not the case, the scales stay active. With fold chromatic when you switch octaves it goes up by 12 slices not 16.
Yeah I’ve had a hard time figuring out how slice keyboard mode is supposed to work it seems like they haven’t tested it. Maybe chuck it in the bug report Post in the elektronauts page, they’ll read it
25:02 I had to make a preset for every machine blank preset to solve this very easily solvable problem that I didn’t have to necessarily hack myself hint hint
anyone experiencing "synchronizing with the device. Please wait, this may take a short while" but never actually synchronizing? ive reinstalled overbridge, updated digitakt 2, all technically works as far as audio goes but i cant use the app. happening in the vst in ableton 12 and standalone mode. Running win 11 Analog heat and Four both synch perfectly.
Realistic acoustic snares have been the weakest of the Syntakt imo. That and lack of arpeggiator - and on a $1000 highly advanced device is kind of shockingly disappointing, but whatever.
Manual slicing and src zoom please

I have both. I like these upgrades.
Suggestion - for syntakt could you show only the sounds that can be loaded into the machine? Big workflow win.

I also wanted to check it out on the original DIGITAKT. It doesn't work either, it's really a shame.
Would be nice if flagships like A4 gets an update with Euclidean too.
Can we wait the new firmware for A4/AK? So much time without updates... Guys, seriously.

My bad, I've just watched the video: the solution is here @36:14 😇😃
They forget lock to scale on syntakt update. Like on digitakt 2 on TRIG page :(
Syntakt LOOOOOOOVE
Love all the new machines. So excited about both of these updates. Nice work Elektron
Bitwig works perfect! All 16 tracks + effects
Hmm I wasn't able to get it to work.

Can you open up 2 instances of the DT2 in Live and use the first one for the first 15 tracks of audio and the second one for the rest of them?
Starts at @3:00
That took real guts.
@@milk_bath what can I say, I'm a gutsy person
It would be awesome to be able to drag Stems to your DAW. Like Maschine does or XO plugin.
I wouldn't mind waiting for it to load since it's probably heavy. But I'm just not into the recording to DAW and latency issues..
You were supposed to be adding support for sampling in mono into DT2. Whats going on there?
Lol wtf?
😂
💀 10 years of asking for stereo sampling for that

octatrack euclidian when!?
I think They reached memory limit in the octatrack

Hay does the Brand new 2024 Digitakt 2 have Ableton link built in?
It doesn't, that would require digitakt2 to have a wifi chip or Ethernet connector
