This is the best tutorial on the update so far as most made quick videos without studying the update. Ricky brought out the detail of the Euclidean machine of its use and results which no one could Thank you Let’s hope the update reaches other Elektron boxes. 🤞🤞
This is probably the best electronic instrument tutorial video I have seen, and I have watched a lot of them. Things are consicely and clearly explained but, and this is the crucial bit, then demonstrated with good musical examples. Very different to the recent Digitakt 1.50 update tutorial videos, which are more like someone reading a list of what the new features are. The latter don't really make for a good tutorial videos, although they are fine for making one aware of what features the new update brings. Anyways I wanted to say well done re the AR 1.70 tutorial video. Very good, very good indeed! I would put this video in the catagory of "proper teaching" :)
@@InRoB-Music it's always nice when they have an update but if they need ideas I'm pretty sure people have plenty eg I'd like to be able to automate all the functions of the arp
Thanks Elektron and all team for giving this updates and video demos and explanations for free. You are the best company in this area and type of product. Cheers. 💥✌
@Elektron I might be missing something but I would dearly love to use the pads in Perf mode applied to the various Euclidian parameters, particularly the rotations... can't seem to find a way to do that , so far. But despite this it is an amazing machine!!! 🙏
Would be nice to see the Parameter Slides on our Digi-Boxes one day. I miss those since the Beginning in 2017 with the Original Digitakt.Would you guys mind telling Elektorn about it? ;-)
41:00 I usually save one-kit-per-pattern and save the kit with the name of the pattern. All my kits are called A1, A2..B1, B2 etc. This way you can't mess up, given you remember to save a new kit whenever you change pattern :) (check my channel I have a video on AR workflow)
Hi, short question for me as a beginner. How can I do the sidechain effect, ducking the baseline, whenever the Kick is playing? Is this working with LFO in the FX track or how can I do that? Thanks to everyone.
I really want to buy one but look what happened to the digitakt you dropped the new Maschine’s then they dropped the digitakt 2 so is a new rtym comming as i don’t want to drop 1400 on one then it be worth half within a month
i have a question, almost all euclidian style sequencers snap notes to a 16th grid, meaning the notes are nearly equally spaced, but rounded to the nearest 16th. would it be possible to have an un-snapped euclidian with steps that are spread precisely equally, meaning that odd numbers of steps don't fall on the grid. the only tool i know that does it is tidal cycles, but it's a big pain to set up and maintain so i've pretty much stopped using it.
Excellent! As a Rytm owner and having many other Elektrons, this is great help to dive deeper into the new features. I wish that Kemper Access Music would do the same and update the Virus.
every time ricky is showin some elektron gear it bores me to death these machines can do so much and everything he makes sounds almost the same borin to me, he`s propably the best anticommercial to these sweet products
he does a fine job showing the features in great detail in an easy to understand way. as a machine manufacturer there is a law of diminishing returns when you have the demonstrations contain music that's too good.
They choose Ricky only because he is a popular guy and his manner of speaker is more appealing to a new users. In the other hand Cenk had more advanced (or better to say creative) skills in using Elektron machines but he had nerdy vibes. It's apples and oranges but I want to see Cenk again one day.
@@synthetic_culturecannot compare the two. Cenk would demo with great results in super quick mode as he is game boy geek. However not once would he actually explain his skill. Mostly he would experiment on the fly and the quickness made all errors escape 🤪🤪 An art should be shared
@@synthetic_culture Cenk is more intuitive and lacks in explaining his process like Ricky who is more detailed and nerdy than Cenk. Both have their strength.
why not you explore the machines yourself on top of the fundamentals Ricky is offering.....you want the esoteric nature of the individuality for yourself so you could copy and then everyone will sound the same......make it yourself and be unique.

There's also a Euclidean feature on the LXR-02.
I like how these machines (and companies) are in conversation with each other.
yes, Elektron and Erica Synths are two of the best synth companies today making great products! @@georat16

Any Analog Four updates in the future, please say yes?
This is exactly what I was going to comment please A4 update please
To be honest i bought a torso-t1 and now i ask myself what they could update more than euklidian? 😅

Hopefully they include some kind of euclidean melody generator built in as well, like scale snapping or something crazy like that.
Really surprised nothing big has came for the octatrack. The mk2 coming out made me thing there was much more to squeeze out of it. Guess not :(
This is the best of Ricky + Elektron!!! Great stuff, keep it going please!!!!

Incredible work the Elektron team did here. Congratulations!

Thank you for this great Xmas gift ELEKTRON
I’m really enjoying this update. Keen to dig through this video incase I missed anything. Nice one 🖤💜
58:29 That "Yooooo, random slew!😱" Killed me🤣💀🤣💀 my people! Lol
cool to see the new features!

I may need to get my wife something extra for christmas so when I get this she ain't mad.
Parameter slides are the sleeper in the update. It will be a no brainer in the future!
Great new features❤ Hopefully we get some of this for other devices too😊
thanks dude for the details here.... Love it
Amazing, any plans for a new machinedrum?
Great tutorial. Just got mine this week and I’m up to speed 👍
Selling my octatrack, buying this
lol you'll buy the octatrack again. you will. you know you will. LOL yes. i see your mind, and i know your future.
obey elektron.
hahahahhaha
Lmao just convinced my parents to give me some extra funding to buy a rytm and promised I’d sell my octatrack. Heh. Not happening.
Don't sell the Octatrack. Save more money and have both. Its a very powerful combo.

Yes super sick my friend just picked one up. Ima need to grab one too.
Can the rytm do the same things as the digitakt?
Guys, add an arpeggiator and euclidean rhythms in the Syntakt :D
Yeah I could do with that

hi, does the "scal mod "- recognize/analyse notes (keys) from sampled audio?

Great job man, thanks.
Excellent ❤ thx bro!
Any updates for the Analog Four mk1 by any chance guys?
Patience, padawan
no hat...shocker!
is random name generator on mk1 ?
The only thing that isn't available in the MK1 from this update is the resampling, for obvious reasons.
Give us the syntakt update already ; p
Digitone next
bring back cenk
i wish i could use all this to its max but my brain capacity is very low i need more practiseee i need more timeeee xD xD xD i love u

Just give us Syntakt users the Chip-machine. Thanks, bye :D

So this is why you’re trashing competitors products in your “reviews”? Because you’re working for Elektron. It’s disappointing.
