    This is awesome thanks - I stumbled across D Phrygian Dom while noodling on Guitar and wanted to do something with it - this has given me all the weapons in my arsenal to explore.

    I'm currently working on making a Psychedelic Trance track in the key of G Phrygian-Dominant, and doing some music theory studying to work out what chords I can use in the key of G Phrygian-Dominant, the Phrygian-Dominant scale, and the Phrygian scale are the two most used scales in Psychedelic Trance music.

    What are the piano notes for the bIII flat 3 please?

    • @WriteASong
      @WriteASong  ปีที่แล้ว

      The 1st note in the chord would be the flat 3 note from the scale, the 3rd note in the chord would be the 5 note from the scale and the 5th note in the chord would be the 7 note from the scale. Hope that helps.

    what if I want to play in Em phrygian dominant, do I use the Em key and just flat the 2, 6 and 7?

    • @WriteASong
      @WriteASong  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you start with natural minor / aeolian, then you flatten the 2 and sharpen the b3

    It's actually quite pointless to talk about scale degrees(1,2,3,4,5,6,7) without explaining the intervals. Someone who isn't familiar with the intervals of the major scale would understand nothing by seeing the numbers. Just some feedback.
