Elites customers only the ones that can afford the rest of the millions of Filipinos struggling to make ends meet and live like rats, while these elites live a lavish lifestyle controlling the cost of living of the country. Sad indeed. A true Third Word Country where the income and wealth inequality is out of control. They can live like kings in Philippines but when they go out of the country they are still Filipinos nothing to be proud of.

It was a wealthy and enterprising in-law (mcmicking) that turned the family's fortune around, by develeping the marshland into what is now makati cbd. The profits derived from this highly-succesful venture went into acquiring majority shares in flagship companies like bpi etc

Can’t possibly be a complete account if there’s nothing on the gold. McMicking was the aide de camp to MacArthur when they were able to liberate some of the biggest treasure trove ever, worth Gazzillions. Yamashita was hanged after a quick trial & his driver was coerced into giving up the location of some it. This was why the US eagerly jumped into the war in the first place. It can be said that America became great because of Asian gold, Chinese gold, looted by Japan from 12 Asian nations.
Ayala also could have gotten hold of the photos of maps supplied by the driver & spirited away by the engineer & the spiritual medium who, in the 1970s both of whom escaped to America from the clutches of Marcos’ military. Incidentally, Napoleon Valeriano, classmate of Marcos & CIA point man for gold recovery…happens to be the stepfather of Greggy Araneta … who is cousin of Lisa.
Some of the recovered treasure MacArthur shared with the Meiji empire ( as some kind of consuelo de bobo) & its bodyguards which later became the LDP. … Some went into funding post-war institutions such as the UN, World Bank & IMF & some went into infrastructure, the freeway system, & the “ reconstruction “ of America. Most went into the military industrial complex for more & more endless war.
Ayala is not backed by real estate… it’s the gold. That’s why it’s Ayala, not Sy family that’s wealthiest.

Regarding Globe ownership, the SEC recognizes that fact SingTel's ownership of Asiacom. They take that into account and SingTel's overall ownership of Globe does not exceed 40%. It's not creative, not manipulative. Nobody actually investing significantly will miss this.
