When I purchased my spinning wheel they recommended I spend the first week just practicing my treadling several times a day so I learned how to stop and start the wheel without it going in the wrong direction. Then to practice working with the tension using already spun yarn. It was a big help when I actually started spinning with fiber. I’m enjoying watching your spinning journey.

You need to secure your leader a bit more. i.e. put a piece of tape on it. I would also recomend a much longer leader to make plying easier if you place the lazy kate with some distance to eaven out the twist when plying. Happy spinning😊

One of the things I see a lot of spinners do is give their wheel a little nudge clockwise to start off when they begin to treadle. Maybe that’s what you’re missing to make it easier to go in the direction you want?
I absolutely love this new step in your spinning adventure.
My new challenge is to start learning to spin by touch… looking at my hands as little as possible. As a matter of fact, I’ve been doing so while watching your video! And I can’t wait for you to share more spinning content. 😊

I see where you are in your spinning journey, excited bunny. That is why you have no patience for a spindle. You did really good with your first experience with your Fantasia. I dont know how you want to walk this adventure but I have a few youtubers to suggest for help with their tutorials: JillianEve, ExpertlyDyed, and Fiber Love Diary. For some lovely chaos with some good tips sprinkled in BF Fiber Arts. If you get to the point you want to try drop spindle again, Spinning Sara. I love your predraft.

I did after a bit of trial and error!
Oké let me help you. First: get a longer thread on the bobbin to start. Then use your hand to the wheel to guide it to go the write direction. Then start treddling slow until it is taking up. Then make a knot with the wool to the tread and start spinning finding a rithm. Good luck

I bought a spinning wherl like 2 years ago and tried spinning without any knowledge whatsoever. Long story short, it's just a decoration peace now.....
