Ive never had any childhood trauma of any kind, but all my artist friends have and have suffered a lot in life(i dont think i can even say it on youtube). Even though their always supportive of my art, it never feels real, like there should be lots ofvitriol when I'm worse now after 2 years then they were when they were beginners. My resistance became that my friends have gone through hell and my bad art is hurting or insulting them. Turns out they were only disappointed I wasn't practicing and that all their kind words were true. It's a weird sense of pride built up around wanting to do the right thing, comparing yourself to infamous art lolcows or thinking "I am a talentless hack, why should I keep pretending to be an artist?" But all this ever did was keep me from drawing for months for reasons no one but myself believed in. To any survivors of child abuse and exploitation, thank you. The fact your all still with us and survived, knowing that your ok and I can talk to you still I consider a blessing. You are the reason I draw.
This ...really helped. I'm just JUST coming out of a "I hate drawing" phase after having been semi-successful actually... but that success stopped, and so did my passion. I'm getting it back and this helped me realize a few things. Thank you
I genuinely want you to become a great artist one day because you will not only create great art pieces but also leave your journey behind and a path to walk through
I keep copying another artist as practice but always stuck on making my own art. I'm so stressful and not making any art in 4 months. This video just burn my passion again. dude, you dont know how a great help this video is. How you choosing your words is sooo on point. GREAT JOB! KEEP ROCKIN' 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for posting this! I've been stuck in my comfort zone for a long time. I've had some gradual improvements, but I know I'm still lacking at a lot of the fundamentals. I sometimes get impostor syndrome as a self taught artist. Because I didn't learn consistently in a structured order like art school, my learning is all over the place. I often feel like I'm not making "real" art based on knowledge, but guessing my way through the results. But when I try to learn it feels frustrating and like it's not sticking. There's some art 101 things I learned over a decade in simply because I hadn't seen a tutorial about it before. In the future I'd like to try more art books and paid courses to speed up the growth a bit. But right now I can't afford a huge investment so I mostly learn from free youtube videos and studying other artists.
I got the extention DF Tube to stop me from endlessly watching youtube. Now youtube is mostly a blank page with just my subscriptions and search function. I can open youtube as much as i want but my front page always will be just blank, having something like this really helps me to not deplete my willpower and i didnt need to change my habit of going to youtube all the time.
thank you so much for making this video, i’m still in high school and i want to make art my career and i needed to hear this. i’ve been drawing everyday and studying ever since i watched this, when i used to sit and procrastinate and worry for my future. well put!!

This makes me really emotional. Each day I keep thinking “I don’t know if my art will ever achieve anything “
This ...really helped. I'm just JUST coming out of a "I hate drawing" phase after having been semi-successful actually... but that success stopped, and so did my passion. I'm getting it back and this helped me realize a few things. Thank you
You got me at “We all fear trying new things, even when WE WANT TO…” It’s what I’m struggling with the most at the moment! 🙂↕️

God… your advice is incredible. It’s exactly what I needed to hear right now. Thank you. 💜

Nice ingfo

good video i guess? hmm not fond of the ai voices, i appreciate human touch
I miss his actual voice in his videos
theres plenty of good reasons why they wouldnt want to use their real voice
People are using peoples voices to scam people lately or use ai to start controversy, so I understand him completely
This AI voice is so distracting to me
Ngl I know its ai but i love it only because it sounds like the protagonist of an anime lol
