I think one reason we add a bright spot to the lower iris is that the iris is concave-- it funnels light into the pupil. The lower half of it is tilted up and catches light the same way the upper eyelid does, so I think that's what the bright spot represents. I have a question about motivation, if you have time for it! Sometimes, I have an idea burning in my brain for weeks on end, but when I sit down and actually start drawing it, as soon as I have the roughest possible sketch, it's just not interesting any more. My brain goes, "You drew the thing! It's done!" But it's NOT done, it's usually not even a good sketch. I struggle to render the sketch any farther because I'm already thinking of the next thing, and I have a bajillion WIPs that I just can't work on any more.
I love how you explained the anatomy so quick and simple!
what
Is this the power of an artist?
damn, I understood, like, 10% and will probably retain 10% of the 10% I understood-
