    You were an absolute delight to watch like always ! :) I share very similar sentiments about gold jewelry as a fellow south Asian and it was very refreshing to hear an honest feedback with no frills attached. You sure have positively influenced me with my future designer fine jewelry purchases :) Thank you loads !

      Glad you found it helpful, Tasneem! Yes, there are so many beautiful and unique designs available- it can be overwhelming! I would say I do like the tone of 18k gold. I have this bracelet and have 4 vintage Alhambra with different stones too, I was wearing them 24/7 until one night. I have long hair and was sleeping one night with my hair down, my bracelets got tangled in my hair I had to cut them out. Anyway I love them very much but I do remove them while sleeping showering etc. I have Cartier as well but VCA pieces are my favorite. I wear 5 VCA on my right arm, and 2 just en cleu 1 love on my left arm with watch and it is a lot but I love it so I guess I am that b****🤣.

    • @therealshakeen
      @therealshakeen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! So if you purchase an item in Europe and you want to get your VAT back, you have to visit the customs desk before you check in your luggage. The customs agent needs to verify you are exporting this piece out of the country to grant you eligibility to receive a VAT refund. When arriving to your home city, you need to show customs what you are importing and pay the applicable taxes (which is why the price is almost the same).
      If travelling with said piece in the future, it is wise to keep a photo of your proof of purchase for anything you may be wearing or carrying that is of significant value - just Incase customs challenges you that you are importing this piece (even though you’ve purchased it before).

    • @therealshakeen
      @therealshakeen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh definitely it would scratch less. Earrings, pendant, and necklace wouldn't necessary contact as many surfaces as would a bracelet. I'd say go for it!

    I have always wanted to save for this bracelet but like what you mentioned, I always think that 24k would be more justified over 18k designer jewelry. Is this bracelet 24k? It's really so so beautiful but I'm not sure it's worth the designer price tag although I can wear it daily.

    • @therealshakeen
      @therealshakeen  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s 18k gold. Realistically, 24k would be way too soft - for any jewellery. 22K is standard in Asian jewellery though. Some may prefer the tone of 18k versus 22k as the latter may be too yellow. At the end of the day, even if it is 22 or 24k gold, we’re still paying a designer premium on it.

  • @abbylux6991
    @abbylux6991 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2
