Thanks, we are spoiled by the likes of modern f16s and 18 and there multirole ability, harrier was a revalation of the time, and can be so effective in the right mission.
Good to see you Gumbo, miss flying with you, yeah DECM is an interesting item, far less usefull then tbe tpod and i would never carry it over that unless I had a damn good reason, but carrying both leads to have the asymetric loadout but in can be managed.
DECM pod also helps (at least it feels like it does) to drop SAM lock in a notch and increase reacquire time after that. I usually take it with me on SEAD missions with Sidearms; flying NOE, using the pod, and notch + chaff allows you to get very close to SA-11 sites while dodging all the missiles and often disarming SAMs completely.
@@TEACypher aha ya I figured you had it under control lol just want to say I really like your tutorials man.. simple and to-the-point, keep em comin and il keep watchin em lol
Dear. I use this plane a lot and mostly in SEAD and didnt notice any diference with or without the ECM pod so I dint use it any more. Im not sure but I read that ECM is not modeled in the game. If Im wrong send me a link to read about. You can find me in the Rotorheads server as Chaco.
ECM does function but not like irl, i found pulsing it on the manner i show works best as it can break locks which will cause guided missiles to go dumb.
Great video. Just started getting back into DCS (and the Harrier) and this is super useful.
Glad it helped!
FYI, TPOD was not sensor of interest which why it was jumpy.
Great vid! Harrier might not be the *most* capable bird in the game, but damn if she isn't my favorite.

Its a sim anyways.. Every plane has its place and for moving mud, the Harrier is king :)
Nice! I always take a DECM pod when going against a SAM site in the Harrier. Thought it worked!! lol Great job :) Def going to try this

Nice and thank you
so much to learn in the Harrier
When I first started she was quiet a simple beast, but as time has moved on she has become a true system, but if employed right as excellent.

I dont know if you use keys or an axis to slew your tpod but you can put a curve on an axis to get a bit more control
It was not in hotas mode as I was being an idiot
