    Husky tools are great. 30 year auto tech and i use husky tools every day. I could never justify tool truck prices on basic hand tools.

      Very smart. If they work for you and make you money, how can anyone really argue?!

    Absolutely love their warranty for stuff. My 1/2 inch $110 impact wrench that I had for 1.5 years and used it every day as a tech got warranted out with no issues. The selector switch kept popping from forward to reverse under vibration. Told them what was wrong and they told me to go grab a new one. Perfect.

    I just picked up this exact kit for $101 at my local Home Depot. Walked right past it, saw the price and immediately did a 180 and grabbed it before someone else. Super lucky and super score! Nice review by the way. Makes me feel extra good about my purchase.

    I bought both the Husky and Kobalt set and did a comparison video. Both great sets and have held up awesome so far. All the Husky mechanics tool sets are by far the best bang for the buck out there.

      Jeff Parker I’m looking to buy a mechanic set would you say the husky is better than hat or freight? TIA

    • @jeffparker360
      @jeffparker360 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jay-rv6gh I believe they are on the same level. I don't turn wrenches for a living, so I definitely would not be the authority on deciding which is better for a mechanic. Husky is easier to replace individual tools because they keep more individual tools on hand. Hope that helps.

    Finally someone else noticed the poor stamping, that’s my only complaint besides some of the chrome not being the best I hope husky resolves that and quality doesn’t continue to be questionable, I have the 268 pc box and load it in my truck to do jobs, it’s sooooo convenient to grab that box instead of emptying my box in the garage, I added a few things like extension adapters, 8 mm wrench for GM batteries, pliers and removed the 12 point sockets to cut down on weight 👏🏻

    I have the first set of that, that I bought like 20 years ago. I use them daily at work I'm a mechanic. I actually bought the craftsman set and returned it because for $400 more dollars I got like 100 1/4 bits. The warranty if the cashier don't know will ask u too bring all the tools back lol.

    Got the 428pc Quinn Master Technician tool set myself which seems to be pretty close to this. No flex head ratchets but it has some unexpected extras, like 8-point sockets for square nuts. Wondering how Harbor Freight is going to handle it if I need a single part replaced. :)

  • @shawn7913
    @shawn7913 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do like husky tools. I own a lot, including the non ratcheting wrenches I'm going to complain about. The open end on the wrenches is extremely large. That is only the case of the non ratcheting, the ratcheting has a normal open end. They are quite a bit larger than every other brand, and look a little silly, but they do function.

    If you're ending up at Around $1 per "piece" I'd say that's a hell of a bargain. Husky tools aren't exactly the best you can buy but they're far from the worst when I need a tool I can abuse and use in maners other than directed, I grab my husky tool. It's not my "good" ratchet, but I know I can beat on it w a hammer or put a pipe on a handle n crank the hell out of it and 99.9% of the time it'll handle it no prob and when that .1% DOES happen it's not the end of the world

      What issues have you had with the tools, and have they denied you warranty claims? We have checked with several individuals that have had tool issues, and all they had to do was bring it to Home Depot for replacement. Pretty much, no questions asked. We'd really like to know the specifics if you have them. Thanks for watching.

      Tape measure lasted about a year. I took the Huskey tape measure to a manager, I was told they no longer make that style, so I would need to go on line to the manufacturer, send the broken product by mail and wait. I threw the tool in the trash and went to Lowe’s and bought another brand. The H D stores in SC seem disinterested in honoring the warranty. The lifetime warranty offer caused me to buy that tape measure , and I paid more money for it thinking , they would take care of it. I will not purchase any Huskey tools in the future. I worked construction for more than 40 years, I expect a company to stand behind their products. At the end of the workday I am not inclined to seek remediation on my laptop. HD in every other respect is a solid company and they have good products and service but Huskey tools have lost my business.
