I love visual guides like these, but personally I have to do the encounter one or twice before I can apply the context of the mechanics with what's being taught. It helps to watch videos but there's no way to memorize all this stuff and do perfectly going in blind. That's why I like to jump in as soon as this stuff releases to learn with others as we go.

Glad I'm watching these. The other night I was going to watch a vid for The Royal Menagerie but my FC said "Nah it's easy as. It'll be fine." Never again. There was so much shit going on I thought I was going to develop epilepsy. I'm a BLM so trying to keep ENo up in end game stuff is so damn hard UNLESS you know what's coming. Thanks for your guides MTQ!

It's so amusing how the game that starts with slowest GCD and gameplay of all MMORPGs eventually puts them all into shame with such advanced and cleverly composed raid mechanics requiring split seconds decision making, yet still manages to be suitable for casual players. Well done Square Enix and huge thanks to you MTQ for all the guides!

She is the main guide for all dungeons and raids for ffxiv. People usually just go to her. Not search random ffxiv. Subscribe and she won't have to put ffxiv.

So I checked the Final Fantasy Wiki for info on this boss...and why isn't it called Jura Aevis, like in FFV? Alte Roite is the boss you fight immediately before the winged snake with elemental attacks. And why is the "reduce to single digits" move "Charybdis" and not "Maelstrom", like in the original? Hope a future patch corrects this, like they did with the last boss of Labyrinth of the Ancients...
