For you guys that are already getting discouraged, I have a tip. Instead of watching the whole video, just watch the first two phases. Then rewind and watch that again a few times. Then go fight her. Work on learning the mechanics in the first two phases. Come back and watch the video again/read a text guide. Once you group is consistently getting through those phases. Take a break and let everyone come watch the next few phases. Don't try and watch the whole thing and get discouraged over how many mechanics there are. They are really a lot of repeat. The boss gives you a phase to learn a mechanic, then another, then another, then she uses them all together (testing how well you learned basically). The adds are just the sprinkles on top. There is a reason devs have tried to implement clearer "phasing" in thier encounters. It's to help you learn and feel like you are achieving progression. Take advantage of it!
Oh man, what a fight. We're really lucky that there's guide makers like you that break it down for us. Thanks Mizz! I'm sure this was a tough one to get done quick and make a guide for. I appreciate you!
The added drawings and animation maps of where to move and positions are a great addition to the guide. Great work as always, Mizz. Thanks for the work!
I just beaten o2s. I'm only at 6:20 of this vid and already have both hands on my head. MY.GOSH. Thanks for the guide...gonna rewatch it like 10 times more xD
Years later I'm trying to clear this with an FC collegue and this Guide is the only thing giving us hope. We made it all the way up until the Ninja Adds. We will get there eventually thanks to you.
For all the people who get discouraged by long fights like this, if u take every mechanic one at a time, and only focus on ur job then u only have about 1/8 of stuff to do, if ur a dps ignore all the healer and tank mechanics and suddenly even this video is siginificantly shorter... always focus on urself.. thats how raid groups do it.. if everyone just does their job, and nothing but their job then the fight can be won fairly easily.. this fight is comparitvily not that hard... alot of groups are killing it really fast.
Bullshit. Maybe if you get lucky enough to find a great group but thats like winning the lottery. And then if you dedicate 4-5 nights a week to it. This kind of raid content is terrible. You cant say something is easy a tiny minority of the playerbase can beat it
Yup, totally agree. Only done two nights of raiding myself and we got past 50%. Hoping to get the clear before reset at least. And I'd like to add that if savage mode was just as easy as normal mode, then what would be the fucking point in having it? People really need to think before they speak.
Do you wanna know how people get "great" groups? By being good themself, no "great" group will take bad players. Obviously u should also be able to raid at least 3 times a week for about 3 hours each, which is what my group is doing, been in V3s for about 1 hour 40 minutes because we killed V2s before that and we basicly got half the fight down. Its about picking a strat and sticking with it, people get used to the mechanics and whats unclear gets talked through. but thats a given for any group. If ur unable to find a "great" group u are welcome to make your own. But when u do make sure ur not being stupid friendly. When confronted with a problem, be it timewise or skill wise, u as a leader have to deal with that. Dont keep the bad the players i mentioned just because u wanna be nice.. thats what breaks groups.. and thats why players like u are frustrated.. You will find that if you are just really good at your job that u will attract skilled players with good attitudes as well. Boy this post got way longer than i thought...
For the mindjack, the trick to easily managing the arrows I found was to move the camera to a specific direction to have the arrow point to where you'll need to go to, then have your character face the same direction as your camera. (I.E. If I have the about Arrow, I look at the boss while in the NE side. Forward: Face away from boss)
Hey Miz, great guide as usual. I wanted to mention to you that you might want to revise the way you do keywords or titles for your videos. For a while now your videos have not shown up under searches they really should show for. Searching something common like "FFXIV Omega V3s guide" will result in a bunch of clear videos and a few guides but not yours. I've also discussed this with members of my static and some of the pug replacements we've had and they've had the same problem. We were actually made aware that your guide was up when a pug replacement mentioned it to us. I think you deserve more views but youtube's algorithm just isn't favoring you at the moment for some reason so I figured I'd tip you off if you weren't already aware of the issue. Adding as many related tags as possible might help a little if you don't already do that.
typically I search for it via the shortened player term like 'v3s' but I used the long form as well and did not see MTQ's video and I honestly think it should've showed for both, it wasn't this difficult to find her videos a year or two ago. I'm just trying to give her a heads up because if it wasn't for that rando player in our group I probably would've passed right over this video. I think she deserves more views than she has, and we all know youtube's algorithms can be a bit odd sometimes.
I'm not saying it doesn't show up for *anyone* under *any* term, I'm simply saying it didn't show up for me and others in my raid group had the same experience so she might want to know that for future reference.
as mhm said, this is literally the best way to do most savage raids/primals. if you try to learn everything at once, you'll likely get information overload. so just learn it by phase and you'll get it pretty quick and the previous phases you can do without thinking.
Pretty much second the take it one mechanic at a time. Guides like this you should only look over once before you do a fight. When you do it you'll naturally be garbage. However as you go on keep revisiting this guide and it will slowly make more and more sense to you and before long you'll have all these mechanics memorized into your muscle memory and it will only be a matter of time before you clear.
Halicarnassus is the sort of person to get angry over games. Savage Halicarnassus is the sort of person who thinks murder is an appropriate reaction to poor play.
I have a question! In the Angered clear vid (PLD PoV) they tank swap a few times. Was there a reason for this besides efficient use of CDs? No mention of a vuln debuff on busters or anything.
The only tankbuster from the boss is Critical Hit, so you just want to have tanks taking 1 each, in order to always have Awareness. So yeah, efficiency rather than forced tank swap
you can pretty easily avoid the swap. i believe if you take turns between using awareness+rampart and on the other one hitting all your cooldowns you can (other than awareness), you'll be fine. if one of them doesn't line up you can HG but i don't believe you need to, apart from making one of them easier on the healers.
i don't remember right know what's the crit multiplier on NPCs, i believe it's actually really really high, like 2x instead of 1.4x or 1.5x. Either way, awareness is mitigating around the same as sentinel, and it's a CD mostly not that usefull as other CDs. That's why you should always do that tank swap. If you don't wanna do it, it's fine, can use CDs differently.
My static and I have been bashing our heads at the playing field. That, and just making tiny stupid mistakes like not looking away from casts etc. It's such a frustrating yet rewarding fight once you do it right.
jesus christ. im an off healer and im fine with all the healing ill have to help with, but holy fuck. these mechanics are gonna make me cry lol bring it on!
The most optimal and best groups in this game don't have a main or off-healer, it's two healers both sharing responsibilities including damage and healing. Each have skills that compliment each other like Scholar Indom, Eos cooldowns, Astro Earthly Star, etc.
well shit we both heal but the other healer heals more so i can dps more.. what game are you guys even playing? ive never heard a single player say what you guys are saying
This is the kind of fight that discourages me from even looking for a raiding static, I'll never be able to do something like this while it is current.
its really not that difficult once you actually get in and start handling the mechanics. Watching a video like this all the way through will just give you information overload. Once you start practicing it becomes much easier.
Okay, I can see why people are desperate to rush through MSQ as quickly as possible rather than taking the time to enjoy it. Watching this video, I just had the mental picture of someone trying to learn the mechanics, order, and actions when everyone else has already mastered it....yeah, I've played MMOs for far too long to not know how that's going to turn out. The only question that remains is if the person is going to quit from being cussed out or if they are going to get vote kicked first.
Try hards "I HATE THAT YOU CAN PUG O1S AND O2S, OMEGA SAVAGE IS SO SHIT!!! THIS GAME IS ONLY FOR CASUALS NOW, GOOD JOB, THIS GAME IS RUINED" SE "Ok, how about this?"
People that say shit like that need to be ignored. This kind of content is awful - it requires players to make raiding and 2nd job to progress. Whats the point of making content only 10% of the player base can clear?
Hyperion Dark actually the point behind it is to have some content for the hardcore players. Do u think it's fair that the game only appeal to the casual fanbase and say, "oh u like hardcore raiding...well fuck you", to all the players who like a challenge? If that's what u think u are a pretty selfish player.
Well if you can't handle it, you can always take the long route and farm Tomes of Creation gear instead. They provide the same amount of ilvl just slower. People willing to take up the challenge of a hard fight is rewarded appropriately.
*shrugs* In my experience doing extreme and savage content on EU servers, whether it's party or duty finder, no one really discusses fight mechanics. Tanks don't wait for buffs, nobody triggers ready checks, bosses are instantly pulled, healers can't keep up, people start insulting each other, everyone wipes, tanks are usually the first to leave. Unless I go in with a premade group, I can almost guarantee the aforementioned is going to happen 90% of the time. It's weird, because I found that more people were willing to explain fights to new players or at the very least wait for others to explain it to them and less likely to rage quit when I was on the Aether data centre. That's my anecdotal two cents.
Dethyl because maybe English wasn't his first or even his second language? Language is much much harder than Savage content lol...... It takes years and years of constant use to master while Savage you can memorize the mech in a day or two
i Noticed that it's not that she's talking fast, its more like she edits her audio by cutting out the natural pauses in between each sentence/explanation. This is a tactic used by most youtubers who create guides and videos that generally tend to only focus on providing information in a quick and timely manner, and helps keep the video more condensed and short. Something that most of us have gotten used to and consider it the norm. I used to have problems keeping up but after a few years i stopped taking notice of the fast pacing during these videos and now i don't see it to be any different than hearing an explanation spoken at a normal pace.
It's not bad to upload something she didn't clear. Guides are made to help people, and they were helpful. in competitive games, shoutcasters are not pro players, but they are good to comment/explain/analyze things even if they are not able to do it.
Nice, so, permanently crippled your leg? Too obese? Pleaded mentally incompetent to hold a job? Maybe....have a known allergen thats common in work spaces? Id love to know how ya got your welfare, everyone has a story, playing mmos for 18 years, but stopped hardcore playing since 4 years ago to become a tax paying productive member of society, I still enjoy hearing how people got on welfare. Always a funny and intricate story those, had plenty of friends who did so.
Christopher Taylor or you know. you plan that shit out with your job? say ur taken a few days off? ever herd of fucking vacation days?! cuz seem like you can use some u cranky old man/women.
@Jayson Burke And you make it sound like every single person who clears this within the first week has an active healthy social life and that's bullshit. People like you are living in a fucking dreamworld where you believe everything people tell you. How bout you realize that most people who clear those kind of raids in such a fast pace, spent months upon months to get that far in the first place.
For you guys that are already getting discouraged, I have a tip. Instead of watching the whole video, just watch the first two phases. Then rewind and watch that again a few times. Then go fight her. You always know there is real shit going on when MTQ guide is longer than 15 minutes
Hey Enochian, your presence unleashes my biggest fire. Yes, I'm a BLM :3
Shared the vid with my friends and said the exact same thing XD
x) look at nael. its 30min (t9)
Oh man, what a fight.
We're really lucky that there's guide makers like you that break it down for us. Thanks Mizz! I'm sure this was a tough one to get done quick and make a guide for. I appreciate you!

Just wanted to show some appreciation. Your guides are really great and unparalleled in quality! People still use these every day. :)
I just beaten o2s. I'm only at 6:20 of this vid and already have both hands on my head.
MY.GOSH.
Thanks for the guide...gonna rewatch it like 10 times more xD
i just did the exact thing you likely did, rejoice, see what the next boss is, and let out all my air.
As always, MTQ's guides are always the clearest, and down to the point.
Years later I'm trying to clear this with an FC collegue and this Guide is the only thing giving us hope. We made it all the way up until the Ninja Adds. We will get there eventually thanks to you.

Wow you seriously a pathetic gamer. Absolutely pathetic. This is totally not unbeatable.

I search for Omega 3 savage guide and her video is the first to show up :o same for 1 and 2
I searched for "o3s guide" and hers was on top. She is doing nothing wrong, perhaps what your are searching for is mis-typed?
I'm not saying it doesn't show up for *anyone* under *any* term, I'm simply saying it didn't show up for me and others in my raid group had the same experience so she might want to know that for future reference.
This made it so easy to understand I love the diagrams thank you
I just realized she uses the Mystic Knight moves Spellblade
I have a question... how does this not give you a headache!? I am losing my mind just thinking of all of these things. x_x
just take it one mechanic at a time my friend lol eventually itll be muscle memory. i hope lol
Demonjustin of Phoenix it's definitely a mindjack
as mhm said, this is literally the best way to do most savage raids/primals. if you try to learn everything at once, you'll likely get information overload. so just learn it by phase and you'll get it pretty quick and the previous phases you can do without thinking.

People have to keep in mind that savage is not for everyone, it's made for the "hardcore" players who want to push themselves further
love your guides mtq always so indepth
Wow. This def can't be done with Pugs. Amazing job with the details explanation. Great as always MTQ
Luisito San- pugs have killed it... and not all her footage xD. Good job angered
uhmmm we cleared? then again jp server LUL
Ok, ill refranes, this required a darn good pug of peeps that pay really good attention and don't depend on carries lol
very very true
I did it with pugs granted it did take awhile. I think q4s is probably the unpuggable one
Savage 3.0 does nothing with the escape game? Such a shame. I was hoping for some Sen's Fortress like dodging.
Or it could just put you in Sen's Fortress.
Ritzu oh god, please dont
Treasure Ahead! *Bloodstains surrounding the chest*
sen's fortress in dark souls?! fuck you man!! xD
yeah i was kinda disappointed too.
I loved this fight everything the boss the arena and the mechanics were fun
i love the enrage. such a troll. fun fight. cant wait to wipe 100s of times
Nice work like always
If I ever get to Halicarnassus Savage, I'm definitely gonna need a "hali".
(it's Finnish for "hug")
It seems The real work has already been done
this twisted my brain into a god damn knot
I wonder if this'll be treated like A3S was and be a static killer, or if it'll be like A11S and mostly just make healers cry and shit themselves
A11S, it's difficult to learn but it's not A3S level.
Andrew Miller This is nowhere near a3s levels.
Andrew Miller it's not a static killer if it was beaten on day 1. A3 took like four weeks. Big difference
That was because if dps checks, the mechanics were no where near as many as these.a3s is child's play compared to this. (Mechanics wise)
Not sure if you are serious or trolling right now because what you say is madness.
Halicarnassus is the sort of person to get angry over games.
Savage Halicarnassus is the sort of person who thinks murder is an appropriate reaction to poor play.
Thanks ! perfect guide !
I really wanne know how many tries MTQ needed to finish the fight.
I have a question! In the Angered clear vid (PLD PoV) they tank swap a few times. Was there a reason for this besides efficient use of CDs? No mention of a vuln debuff on busters or anything.

Smacky Huggins melee can virus (feint) every tank buster if they alternate accordingly
QuarionGG ah I already forgot by the end of the vid that the buster was a crit. Awareness usage makes sense.
i don't remember right know what's the crit multiplier on NPCs, i believe it's actually really really high, like 2x instead of 1.4x or 1.5x.
Either way, awareness is mitigating around the same as sentinel, and it's a CD mostly not that usefull as other CDs. That's why you should always do that tank swap.
If you don't wanna do it, it's fine, can use CDs differently.
This isn't one fight, is a whole expansion! Shit is nuts.
At 8:42 the healer turns around inmediately withouth moving the camera with Rclick. How??
With the keyboard. O.o If I press S my char turns around.
I had the normal camera mode activated, you can only to the "S Turn" with the other camera mode(dont remember name)
My raid group is fairly casual. We are on our third week of OS3. And are consistently getting to apanda. And have seen animal farm a few times.
Can I make a photo that moves with the picture of the video for our team?
how the hell do people get through this without a guide
My static and I have been bashing our heads at the playing field. That, and just making tiny stupid mistakes like not looking away from casts etc. It's such a frustrating yet rewarding fight once you do it right.
Is there a written version of the angered guide?
a weird looking panda lol
HEAVY cooldowns and awareness- no kidding, critical hit did over 60k damage to me through rampart and awareness.
Is there like a text guide on this?
Just notice. If someone fails on Oink in first phase, everyone gets Vulnerability up, resist and short dmg down debuff.
Is there a text guide for this?
"By now you should know exactly what to do". K lol
no tank swap ?
Jeeezus that’s a lot to remember >_
How do people figure this crap out w/ all the mechanics going on in the fight?
they watch and learn
Is this as difficult as A3S? Is it as punishing for DPS loss as that fight? Im having ptsd flashbacks watching this fight! XD
Much more forgiving than A3s overall. Fight teaches you most of the really difficult mechanics over time
Step 1: How to go insane from a video game
TAHTS a raid, and not o1s and o2s lol well its time to come back. x)
Was hoping would go through the dimensional tear again ugh
This is my first time doing savage runs... I wanna cry
Damian Richer The anxiety, the tension, the thrill of winning when you finally do. There is nothing like it!
I just beat V2 😂 that was a rush
Congrats! 😁
make good use of Feint and Addle in this fight to handle Critical Hit and damage from the flame/dragon adds
you should mention the animal tiles if done correctly will grant full limit break 3
you are right a very good shout so groups can burn an lb on boss
She did
just begining this boss ( wouah ! )
..... I need to find me a static...
what you play and we can talk xD
Wuao. This is a lot to digest in just one or two days.
10:30 but wait! theres more...wow
jesus christ. im an off healer and im fine with all the healing ill have to help with, but holy fuck. these mechanics are gonna make me cry lol bring it on!
mhm mhm since when is there a main and off healer
you serious? its always been a thing lol well, since i joined the game
mhm mhm no, main and off healing isn't a thing. Both healers should heal equally, so both can dps equally.. you were lied to
The most optimal and best groups in this game don't have a main or off-healer, it's two healers both sharing responsibilities including damage and healing. Each have skills that compliment each other like Scholar Indom, Eos cooldowns, Astro Earthly Star, etc.
well shit we both heal but the other healer heals more so i can dps more.. what game are you guys even playing? ive never heard a single player say what you guys are saying
how to point the fukn arrow debuff
great googly mooglies! lol
"this add does a fair amount of damage to its main target" uhh yeah thats it putting it lightly haha. like 30k if you dont use a cooldown immediately
I am by no means whatsoever looking forward to this fight.
Setting that aside excellent video as always.
Wow.
This is the kind of fight that discourages me from even looking for a raiding static, I'll never be able to do something like this while it is current.
Nathan Flannery why? The fight is 100% scripted. All you have to do is be cognizant of what's going on and react accordingly.
prepare to cry
Let's see what they added from the normal
A fucking lot
the only thing i fully understood from this guide is that someone in her raid has 572M gil holy crap
lol
"A quick overview" 17 minute video. Okay...
That aint no panda
T_T this is impossible
as stewie griffin said, whether you think you can or can't you're right =P
its really not that difficult once you actually get in and start handling the mechanics. Watching a video like this all the way through will just give you information overload. Once you start practicing it becomes much easier.
I do have a question : What the fuck?
Can you not release guides during the first week of raids, there are still server races going on
jack thomas Irrelevant now that the world first race is over.
Wise Wolf of course because thats all that matters
If you ain't first you're last
If you don't want to watch the guide, then don't watch the guide? It is not like we are talking spoilers here.
There ARE some people who would like to use them within the first week that aren't partaking in server races, you know.
Yea..
I'll pass on this,
but I wanna be a pig
What the...huhhh
Okay, I can see why people are desperate to rush through MSQ as quickly as possible rather than taking the time to enjoy it.
Watching this video, I just had the mental picture of someone trying to learn the mechanics, order, and actions when everyone else has already mastered it....yeah, I've played MMOs for far too long to not know how that's going to turn out. OK now I'm sure not to do this :D
Remember Warrior Of Light, books are dangerous, play more video games...
It's vulnerability DOWN not UP
Up would increase Damage taken :P
Try hards "I HATE THAT YOU CAN PUG O1S AND O2S, OMEGA SAVAGE IS SO SHIT!!! THIS GAME IS ONLY FOR CASUALS NOW, GOOD JOB, THIS GAME IS RUINED"

Not panda, A....panda.
This fight is AIDS ugh
What the fuck?
Your talk too fast! Lol
U talk very fast
Kiff Ong u dumb

awful. cant even pass susano ex.
Kensen Wangkawinata hang on, work hard and be vigilant. You'll clear it.
Kensen Wangkawinata Susano is Sastasha compared to these
Its all practice not more
3.0 isent hard..if your still stuck at this point then you should question your skill
This is way too much shit
at least she isn't uploading stuff she hasn't cleared yet like last time lul
It's not bad to upload something she didn't clear. Guides are made to help people, and they were helpful. in competitive games, shoutcasters are not pro players, but they are good to comment/explain/analyze things even if they are not able to do it.
The only thing that annoys me in these videos is the constant "as necessary" nonsense
These are nub guides, got thru neo exdeath day 2 lol
Your mom must be very proud of you
Nakamura90 cookie?
