Wow, I've always struggled with m1 lishi (I like the am5), it just feels so much more squishy for master locks but your bouncing technique was the breakthrough i needed and just did 2 diff locks in a row! Thanks! And I also didn't think about raking first and then using decoder lol, face palm.
I usually do pick these first then insert the tool to take a reading. For some reason it doesn’t pick real well. Probably master locks crappy tolerances.
Been curious of the wild pricing myself all the way this month some are pretty low an some are really high. It almost seems by popularity of the locks. Who knows
This tool works great but to save the tool I prefer to pick them by hand then decide, and cut keys, so the lock can be resold. I'm up to 51, in various versions, 1, 3, 5, 6, 77, and a 4, all free or buck or less without keys, sold almost half so far. Have a great day
OH, so you read key pinning AFTER the lock is picked and turned, when the key pins are at shear point? Just noticed that. That makes sense now. No one emphasizes that on video. Probably obvious when your hands are doing it. OK. I got it now. Thanks. Just wondering this point... Would it be possible to rake lock open, and then insert Lishi to read bitting? I'm curious cause my buddy works at metal recycle place and he gave me quite a few locks that came in, no keys. I can pick most of them open, but I'd still like to have a key.
you can rake them and insert the tool in. with lishi tools they have direct readers for some vehicles that dont require picking. all the pin tumbler ones require the lock to be picked before it can be read
I had 4 spool pins and one regular pin on a Schlage deadbolt. Lot more rotation and ended up bending the keyway part of the Lishi. Too aggressive on the tension on my part. Any fix for bent part?
The tool works great to pick Master Locks but when I gave the cut numbers to a locksmith he cut 2 keys with the numbers I gave him and neither key worked. I read the numbers correctly. What good is the tool if the cut numbers aren't correct?.
I want a Lishi. What site sells to regular people, not just certified Lock Smiths? And what other Lishi is for padlocks? And I just subscribed to you. I like your good information. In fact, I DE- subscribed from LPL today. That channel is just a little magic show-- Look what I can do! Ugh...
Appreciate the sub. I’m not aware of any sites that sell to the public. They do pop up on eBay sometimes though. The only other one made for padlocks is the AM5 Lishi for American locks.
I’m either to much tension or not enough very very difficult to find that medium it is apparently extremely small area.. when I hear more tension my mind goes lug nut tight tension
What decoder would I need for a master lock made by milwaukee wis lock No. 7 I know it's the same as a No. 3 but is smaller does that matter for the decoder?
Yesterday I picked and decode 3 Number 5 master, 2 of them yellow color and one blue color, but idk why I can't pick the number 3, it's so difficult for me using the lishi tool, there's a trick or something to pick it? Nice work sir
Isaac Téllez not really any trick. The ones I’ve had trouble with have really short pins. If you don’t have a key to see that before you hand you just have to look for them. Basically if it seems like nothing is binding increase tension and see if you push it to like 2 or 3 see if it binds.
It should fit in any m1 keyway but I usually pick the locks with lock picks or take them and then use this to cut a key if I need to. Sc1 and am5 are great but I will say the American locks all have serrated pins and spools and depending on the angle it’s locked in something it’s really hard to use in the field.
@@BoredLockpicker Thanks for the reply! I learned to pick years ago and still do to help neighbors and occasionally when I get a new one like I said only have one it will fit in a master 3D was afraid to keep trying it was way too much stress on the tool. Just got these to mess around with. Going to get the be2-6 and 7 and the sc20. I live in a retirement neighborhood and neighbors are always locking themselves out. With the cost of these things I'm gonna have to start charging.
I got this model in today, first lishi to arrive. Not experienced but the pick arm seems reallllllly flimsy, I'm afraid it's going to bend because how much it flexes.... Should I worry?
just dont be rough with it. I often times rake or pick the lock with something else then just insert the lishi to measure the pins especially on old dirty worn locks
Carola Cespedes the condor dolphin can’t code these. It might be able to duplicate them with the m4 jaw but the blank isn’t listed to code them. It can’t code cut Kwikset or Schlage either. I use the hpc blitz
Not really.... on the m1 lishi i pick the cylinder with picks then decode with the lishi.... some times i can pick them with a lishi but its faster to pick with picks
Folks that m1 ms2 tool is a complete lie. U have to have experience picking locks. It is not simple nor is it user friendly. I wouldn’t waste my money….garbage
Lmao. Complete lie? You have to know how to pick locks to pick locks is what your comment says. Yes you are right. Lock picking takes skill. Probably not you but most people with practice can learn that skill.

Brand new subscriber as of yesterday. Just prior to that I ordered M1 Lishi and AM Lishi. Now I know why the AM Lishi was $55 and all others $100!
I guess the price came down I paid $70 for the am5 and m1

I find the m1 is complete and utter trash

I do the same. this tool doesnt really pick lock very well especially if the locks are well used/dirty
@@BoredLockpicker I mean clean them internally before picking them? Which you should always do before picking especially a used lock.
@@Neo_The_One_ it’s definitely good practice especially on automotive locks.

No idea how to fix it. In my nine years of using these I’ve yet to damage one. Definitely to much tension.

FANTASTIC VIDEO MY FRIEND keep them coming supper information from you still not convince to too invest in them ..😎
the automotive ones are worth it if you're an auto locksmith. this one and the am5 arent' worth it even if if you are a locksmith
what program do you use to get the blind code?
Lock codes and insta code

it was already bleeding

If it uses the M1 key blank this tool will work. If it doesn’t use the m1 keyway there isn’t any tool that will decode it.

Tem desse com 5 pinos??? Ou é só 4?
Only 4
Hi friend, is this the same lock as te excell in europe?
no idea
Tried min in 3 locks. It only fit in one and wouldn't work. It wouldn't push the pins. My Kw picks worked great. Haven't tried the sc1 yet or the Am5.

I am new to picking. Having trouble raking the #3's any suggestions
try different rakes and try increasing tension. often times people dont use enough tension. you want to use the maximum the lock will allow
How do you know if it's binding
It isn’t springy at all
Where the best place to buy this exact tool?
any original lishi dealer.
