- A review of this M1/MS2 2in1 pick which I've found to be a great bit of kit for locksporters and locksmiths alike. This is for 4 pin Masterlocks with a suitable keyway.

Great video. Had someone asking me about buying a Lishi for Masterlocks, and I tried to explain it's a lot of money for locks you can learn to pick in a matter of days (minutes, seconds) so having your video to back me up was very handy. Much appreciated.
@@LockPickingLegend 😎👍🏻
Great review and discussion, and explanation for why the Lishi wouldn’t go all the way in on the last one. My experiences with the M1 Lishi are similar; sometimes it works really easily, sometimes it’s just a PITA. The deciding aspect is the only reason to try with the Lishi over raking or picking but it is nice when it works 😊

Thanks for watching. It is really hit or miss for picking, but fun to play with nonetheless 😎👍🏻
I've been wanting to get one of these to try out thanks for sharing this review and demo
Very cool demonstration. Your explanations have cleared up why picking with this lishi is so hit and miss, I have heard so many mixed reports from pickers about the tool. I checked out this website yesterday and was very surprised that their lishi picks plus other tools, seem to be double the cost of other sites. Over $100 Aussies for this lishi plus postage to Oz puts this tool out of reach with this company. Cheers
I have a spot in my heart for master locks, they were what I started picking with and of course getting so many opens boosted my confidence. I love the Lishi tool concept, even got the one for the American series locks. Thanks for the video, and the explanations.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Most of us got that first buzz from opening a masterlock. I think that's why I keep a few of them around 😁👍🏻
@@Dmaclocksport Same here, always have a few and when I find someone interested in picking I gladly hand them over :) They are the gateway to locksport.
Great review on this Lishi tool. 😃 very well explained and demonstrated!!!
I really enjoy my Lishi tools!!!
🐈⬛🐾🐈🐾🍻
Thanks Chris, they are a lot of fun 😎👍🏻
Wierd that it is that way picking em. I agree. Probably lock over the tool. But still awesome that they are usable in them. Well made video.👏👏😎
Thanks mate, yeah, still a fun tool to play with 😁👍🏻
Very fun to play with some of those great tools
For sure, lishis are always good fun 😁👍🏻
Surprised they even have a lishi for the 4 pin master locks, but I guess it can be handy for the decoding. Thanks for the display :D
I was too. I thought it'd be a fun way to embarass masterlocks but it backfired on me! 🤣👍🏻
Golden comment: "8 seconds is pretty good for a Master Lock" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great review Dmac 😉👍🏻
Cheers Roy 🤣👌🏼
Sure, the Lishi can pick a Master Lock easily. Now try giving the code to a locksmith and see if he can cut a working key from the numbers you gave him. The scale doesn't always indicate accurate pin settings because Master Lock pins are so tiny and the tolerances are so sloppy.
Very helpful video.
Thanks 😁👍🏻
I got this so I can decode key less master locks and make keys for them.
Let me know how you get on. I found it tricky compared to other Lishis 👍🏻
@@Dmaclocksport Yes. at first I thought I had a defective one. I thought the pick pin was bent a little. I tried "Fixing" it and was wrong. Very afraid I'd buggered it up, but eventually I got it to work. I think that paracentric keyway requires that the pick pin be bent just a tiny bit off center. Seems better to pick it yourself and just use this to decode but one lock kept locking up before I could get it in so I learned to use it to pick. I now have two locks that were formerly key less. Grins cause one was given to me by a guy at work to see if I could open it. Now I can hand it back with a key.
(How I nearly ruined it)
Looking at yours, I think there is a slight 90 degree bend on the pick pin. I think mine was the same. That wasn't working for me. I assumed it was wrong and I straightened it out. Now it refused to work at all. eventually I straightened it and then bent it slightly off center. It may not be factory, but it does work every time now.
Hi, I'm watching you and when you're tensioning the lock, you're holding it at the bottom, close to the lock.. I think the issue is in the way you are tensioning the tool, when I use mine I hold it much closer to the top.. I've had better success holding it up higher.. Just a thought, hope it helps you get them open faster and more efficient..
I do tend to tension nearer the keyway much of the time in general. Just my style I guess. I still find the masterlock lishi hard to use compared to the am5 or the yale versions.
@@Dmaclocksport You are good with the lishis.. I guess it's personal preference and what works for you.. I enjoy your channel.. 👍
What about to try openig a security lock like a Viro Panzer 7 pins?
This lishi is just for 4 pin M1 keyway Masterlocks. They do work on security pins though. I did another video on the AM5 lishi that's designed for American 1100s 👍🏻
Mine picks my number 3, but doesn't do anything in my m1. I don't know if its the lishi or the lock
Interesting vid bud. Nice one.
Thanks Jon 😎👍🏻
You said in the video the pick might fit in the locks keyway if you shaved the tip of the tool .. is this actually something that people do ?
Not something I'd do, but I guess some folks might.... if they needed to
Could I ask what make the single pin lifter you're using is please?
Sure. The pick I used is from lawlock tools
Gooog
And here I thought Master was a good, quality brand! I have sworn by them for many years!!! 🤬
Although Masterlock make many padlocks that resist brute force attacks reasonably well, the same cannot be said for their pick resistance. For locksport, they're considered suitable beginner locks.
Is the tip of the pick bent?
Will this work with a car door lock? Great info thank you
No, this one's just for 4 pin masterlocks
Great demo and thanks for sharing. Take care and have a great week.
Thanks for watching 😎👍🏻
You can bitch pick master locks dont need a lishi.
