I love that you love Australian artists and promoting them!
They are sooo underrated!
Yes, Diesel is a national treasure as well, so full of soul. It’s great to hear this song again. Hugely underrated.
He is one of the most underrated singers in Australia. Thanks for reviving Diesel’s music.
Oh this takes me back and my favourite all time songs of Diesel was Tip of My Tongue and 15 Feet of Snow to name a few but it's always a joy watching you enjoy our legends as much as we do. 🙏❤️🇦🇺
He's got such a great voice and catchy tunes, I never understood why he never go the recognition he deserves.
I enjoyed him very much. I actually think he’s the most soulful of all the soulful Australian singers you’ve been listening to. Please review more of his stuff.
‘Criminally underrated’ is an accurate description….he is just so talented!
Omg i love this song
Your title is true he is underrated. He is by far one of the best live acts around vocally and in musicality. He is also a lovely human - we have met him a few times at gigs
I really enjoy your reactions!! I’m super pumped you don’t only react to one genre of music, keep it up homie!!
Gotta float all over the place ya know
@@ThatSingerReactions absolutely!!
He's one of my favourites.
It's funny because even though I've always loved him, I've only started appreciating his voice since you brought it up! I think we've been spoiled in Australia, Farnham, Barnes, Diesel, the backup singers, and so many more, are our normal 🥰
Funnily enough i still have my debut Johnny Diesel & the injectors cassette.. How it didn't wear out amazes me.. Met him a few times, he's a cool cat, very approachable.. I see he has messaged you which does not surprise me at all, he's that kinda fella..
I still have my cassette too!
@@broniex14 Well as they say, great minds think alike.. You have great taste lol :-)
That's Gold!
I still have my Cassette as well !! 🙂 and the drummer is Yak Sherrit the original injectors drummer 🥁⛽️
Hey that's me on backing vocals! The backing vocalists are all New Zealanders BTW...Annie Crummer, Debbie Harwood and me, Rikki Morris.
My cheeks hurt from smiling watching you smiling...lol Yes I think many Australian artists found it hard to get world wide recognitions due to the fact we live on the other side of the world....in the Land Down Under.......
He is so underrated as a singer
Haven’t heard that song for ages, he is such a gem ❤️
I had a Johnny Diesel poster on my wall in the 90s 💗
I've got to ask if you could do "Parisienne Hotel", "Lookin' For Love" or "Love Junk". They are rockers (which I can't help preferring because he can fry scream so well!) Or "Never Miss You Water". All damn catchy. Love the fact you are doing Aussie singers. No-one else is and it seems artistically criminal to me that they weren't marketed worldwide. I was in Sydney between 14 and 18 yrs old in the early 80's and otherwise, I wouldn't know these singers and bands either.
Was so cool when Diesel came out, was like wow Aussie dudes got soul too, love this song.
Tip of my tongue is a great song of his.
So true, so underrated. I still pinch myself that he’s ours (Aussie). 15ft of Snow my favourite 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I was heading into high school and absolutely thought he was the most amazing thing to walk the earth lol
Oohh loved him with hair. ❣️❣️
But I love his talent more & he is so underrated. Besides having a beast of a voice, he plays the guitar like the legend that he is. I love everything about Diesel
Man i appreciate all your reaction bro. Keep em coming. Love the content. Thanks again Nick!!! 🙏🏻❤💜🤙🏻👌🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯❤❤
I think it would have been the frustration of his career …how underrated he was! Possibly if he lived in another country he would have made it bigger because when he was at his peak. Australians were into harder rock and weren’t educated musically to digest soul and that he was the real deal. I think he was too early, definitely he should have been a global star. This song is one of my favourite.
Yes I'm sure all we Aussie girls wanted him😃😳
Diesel is an absolute legend. An amazing live, blew me away how effing amazing he was seeing him live.
One of Australia’s best singers….masterplan is without a doubt his best!!
Ahh Nick, bringing me back to my highschool years, mate. Diesel has talent and soul. A legend. And very much loved here in OZ🇦🇺🔥
Just made me remember I have a set list and guitar pick from one of his live gigs I went to.
This guy could sing The Alphabet and I'd love it !
Lol or the telephone book, I’m with ya on that
Great reaction to a great artist, thanks matey
Diesel is the best! I had his head on my favourite tshirt for many years...gosh take me back 20 years.. 👌👌🎤🎤🔥🔥
He's been around for ever!!! So underated, sounds like john
Great song Diesel. His stuff with Chris Wilson “Short Cool Ones” was excellent as was Americana. I need to get the new cd “Alone with Blues” for Christmas 😊
Love Diesel's vocals always have. Just wish they were further forward in the mix especially now I"m older!!! Always struggle to hear his vocals over the music. 🤣
and 100% agreed he's the epitome of who should be singing with that mike! He caresses it with his vocal chords making us all tingle in the process! Also agreed he is criminally under rated as a vocalist always pegged as a guitarist but for me shines in both equally!
One of my absolute favourite artists ever, has been for 30 odd years now. So so good. Awesome to see live. Would love to see you review Tip of My Tongue next.
Takes me back to 1992. I was in high school and had such a crush on Diesel. My favourite was "tip of my tongue" oh man that video still makes me swoon.
I can't help but wonder if Diesel would have come up with more of his own material had he not become Jimmy Barnes guitarist. He was a great artist in his own right, he owns some restaurants called Lizottes. One of his first "I don't need love" was a great song. Another one was "Soul Revival".
Saw him perform in front of maybe 150 people at the most at a small rugby league oval in western Sydney as part of a radio station promo around 7 years ago. The sounds he created from his acoustic guitar were amazing.
Just to think he was in the first video you watched with John and Jimmy and you could barely notice him :-)
What a gem Diesel is! His voice just takes me to a dimly lit, soulful bar .. where music is King - as it should be 👍
“Masterplan” by Diesel will blow you away. No lie, I’m giving you the tip of the year with this 👊🏻
Johnny D's singing 'on the tip of my tongue' my fav!
We tend to keep these treasures to ourselves
your reactions gold mate !
I have seen diesel live about 11 times. Never get sick of watching this dead set legend perform.
One of the greatest shows I ever saw was this man on stage by himself wit ten acoustic guitars.
He played every one until it was out of tune and had the gov in Adelaide jumping the entire time.
One thing you do not see in his clips is when he actually sings at his peak he has to take three steps back from the mic.
True legend
Yeah, and the drum kit sounded sick.
I knew you'd like that one!
He was definitely underrated for sure
Still love Diesel after all these years 🇦🇺
Diesel. The King of Growl! 👌🏼👌🏼
Diesel ... my boy!
He should’ve been global along with Jimmy and Johnny, also you should check out some Kate Ceberano, man talk about a woman who can hold a note with just about anyone, plus she’s gorgeous
I love Diesel
I just realised he was playing a longhorn Danelectro!
Maaan you gotta check out the acoustic live versions of this. Its insane!! He has his own signature model 12 string mini acoustic that he makes cry.
💕heart flutter!
You’re spot on - he is so good and great live as well. Did you know his wife and Jimmy Barnes’ wife are sisters?
Tip of my tongue is one of his best songs. Same as Cry In Shame
You should have a listen to 'hold me in your arms', 'heart in danger' or 'you were there' by Jack Jones
Haha he was dating my friend at one stage we use to see him at the back stage bar in Perth .She use to have a cassette of his songs before he was famous and we use to play in her car. Lol.
Yep love his voice always is , seen him a few times live .
He is actually Jimmy Barnes brother in law didn't if u knew that 🙂
@ThatSingerReactions I am super new to you and loving all the Aussie content. If you haven't already give Paul Kelly a try, he's another Aussie icon
You gotta do the live version of Terence Trent Darby singing Whos Loving You.
Some of the greatest raw vocals ever
Dude was underated as hell!
In an era of where MJ and Prince reigned…
Aussie Triple J legends John Farnham Jimmy Barnes Johnny Diesel ❤❤❤ 🇦🇺 🎉
I think this is his best song. Gotta check out "Top of my tongue" too!
^Tip!
I'd love to hear Home Free do this song with Austin singing lead.
Luv it💯✌️🍷🖤
Nice
Diesel live even now is still the shit. He’s just about to tour again in the next few weeks. Can you take a look at Ian Moss who was also a singer with Jimmy Barnes in Cold Chisel
💓💓💓💓💓💓
His best song is Tip Of My Tongue
Yak sherritt on drums from the injectors
He's so hot. I've followed this guy since the beginning. I'm from Perth. Go Mark.
Put Diesel jimmy and farnham together you have one hell of a concert
Diesel can sometimes hit a 'Terence Trent d'Arby' tone.
PS - I saw him perform as lead guitarist in band 'Innocent Bystanders' when he was a teenager. Never expected him to reach the heights of musical stardom that he did.
He is just raw sexuality under control...we women love it.
Wonder how it'd sound having some old school rock'n'roll blues mix done for the instruments. Bring the old to the new. I think has some untapped potential.
Shit yeah😎
No ! no ! no !! ... I bought his albumn !!! LOL !!!
Mesmerizing, isn't he?
He's going by his real name now, Mark Lisotte. He's underrated only outside of Australia. Here he is recently.

Another great Aussie who is new to the music scene is Dean Ray. He was runner up in Australian X Factor and is very soulful.
This is one of his performances in X Factor.

The most under rated muso/vocalist ever.Love him.He should be a Worldwide Superstar-but maybe he prefers not to be?...
Please play , Tip of my tongue
Love diesel..review Trent D'arby
He married into barnseys family
When I think of Diesel I think of him being the "salmon" swimming upstream against the "river" of mainstream popular Australian music public which, IMHO, just wasn't that tuned into soul & blues music, hence his decline in the charts and popularity. Does anyone agree with me?
I know you love the white folk( Jimmy Barnes, farhnam, Tom jones, righteous bros) you need to get some Andrew strong in those ears, try a little tenderness.
Lmao
Not underrated at all!
Pleeeaaaase. Stop! stopping it so often. You’re actually missing the flow of it every time you stop. Listen. Review
