Whether you watch Moscow version or this version , or any version … this song is and as will always be FIRE!!!! The band member you asked about is the long time bass player for Metallica , Jason Newstead . He replaced Cliff Burton when Cliff tragically lost his life .. Jason played bass for Metallica for years until he he felt as tho it was getting to be a bit much for him and he wasn’t able to pursue certain other wishes in his life . So he left the band and was replaced by Rob Trujillo . Jason was a huge loss for them and he’s never been forgotten..
NO ONE WILL EVER REPLACE CLIFF!!! Anyways Newstead held his own as well as bringing his own style and flavor to the band. Now we have Rob, who in some ways brings the music back full circle.
@@MrRexfactor Was gonna say that. Rob seems to have given Metallica their balls back. With St Anger, they castrated themselves. Their current sound feels right, or at least a whole lot closer
I prefer this version because of Superior Audio. Considering there is millions of Moscow videos now and people still ask for them to relive that same dopamine, I rather have the dopamine of actually different shows and soon, hopefully other songs 😑
Jason is the other vocalist, mainly bassist. Left the band after disputes about his role. I really liked that dude. He is such a beast on stage and afterwards he comes out with a ponytail, wearing glasses and talks about art. One of those wholesome metal guys imho.
this is lars on his prime, but jesus i love jasons back vocals and his energy. this san diego 92 consert is one of the greatest, there is speed, heavy, and super good sound.
The line up in this video Is James Hetfield (rhytm Guitar and vocals) Lars Ulrich (drums) Kirk (not Kurt) Hammett (lead guitar) And the Beast himself Jason Newstead (Bass and backing vocals) the First three of them never changed but they had 3 bassists First Cliff Burton second Jason Newstead and the third which Is the current one Robert Trujillo
The second "vocalist" is their 2nd bassist. Jason Newsted. He joined the group after their original bassist, Cliff Burton, tragically passed away in a your bus accident in Sweden. Jason was their bassist up until the St. Anger album, when Robert Trujillo joined after Jason left. Dark history lesson: James, Kirk and Lars were so angry and deep in grief over Cliff's death and they took it out on Jason. For over a decade Jason endured so much abuse, hazing, and constantly being told that no matter how long he was in the band, he would NEVER be a part of Metallica. It wasn't until their "Load" album that the band finally stopped the abuse of Jason and treated him like a member of the band.
Are you sure about a decade of hazing? I think in recent interviews both them and Jason said that it was more about the first year or two, until he proved himself on the road (I think he managed to play concerts barely conscious due to illness or something like that.) He might've remained a "junior" up until Load, in the sense that he didn't have a say in creative questions or something. I can't remember anything harsher than that, though.
@@shryggur The whole situation has been explained by the band in a movie, and many recent interviews on the subject. The hazing of Jason was intense and unrelenting. James even went to therapy to try to learn how not be such an asshole after all the fallout when Jason left the band. That therapy even had James and Dave Mustaine talking to each other for the first time since the 80s and James finally acknowledging all the hurt Dave harbored all these years. That's not to say James is a bad guy, he's just a very typical guy with bottled up emotions that explode in bad ways. He's faced it, and as far as I know, Jason and Dave are mostly okay with him now which is great. James really humbled himself and deserves a lot of credit imo.
I've been a musician most of my life and play many different instruments. I even have a gold record on the wall.. I can tell you from that experience Lars is NOT a bad drummer at all! In fact, most of the haters and wannabe musicians if I sat them down and said play this Metallica song on the drums correctly, I bet 6 out of 10 would fail! They simply don't really understand what's happening. My second thought is some people are still hanging on to that Napster nonsense in which he was correct about and they're still salty.
No, not a bad drummer. I think his issue was that he stopped practicing for a time. A lot of money, time and notoriety can lead to complacency. We also have to remember that the 80s/early 90s were fueled by cocaine and, when it comes to drumming, it makes a difference. Lol.
Lars is not a terrible drummer, but let's face it, he's not good either. Just listen to the fill he played at 1:57, it was awfully executed and he completely lost the tempo. Musicians make mistakes and that's fine, but it's not normal when you can find those mistakes in his playing at every gig, in every song, at any year. And during late '89 and early 90s he was at his peak, after that he got worse and worse up until recently, that he stepped up his game a little (and he started to use click tracks). No one should hold Lars against the unrealistic expectation of being a human metronome. But the kind of mistakes Lars make are quite bad considering that he's a professional drummer with decades of experience playing for one of the greatest bands in modern music. When the guitar player is the one keeping the tempo of the song instead of the drummer, you can assert with confidence that the drummer is not good. The good news is that, while Lars' playing is sloppy, he is 100% passion and energy, and he's a hell of a music arranger.
@@rodoxag9117 I never understood the Flack he gets, even the fill you mentioned wasn't that bad.. if anyone should get shat on is Kirk.. I can't stand his Live solos, he was ok in the 90's but damn did it get bad and sloppy in the 2k
@@themacheteorder925 and that's the issue. If you pay hundreds of dollars to see one of the most emblematic band in the world, "it wasn't that bad" should not be a reaction. The difference becomes starker when you compare Lars to really tight drummers, like Lombardo or Vinnie Paul just to name a few. Kirk also became sloppy with the years
@@rodoxag9117 - You might be right.. but he has still achieved more in his lifetime, and with the skills lacking as you say, in an amazing way than anyone else on earth.. he IS a member of METALLICA, who could have ANY drummer or guitarist.. Remember Dave Mustaine? They dont have to settle for shit.. I'll never achieve so much.. never.
I saw them live during that tour, it was awesome, Lars came out of the floor with the entire drum set while playing, then on the next song the whole drum set moved to the other side of the stage while he was still playing. one of the best concerts ever and I have been to a lot of concerts... it was 3 and a half hours long with no band opening.
Lars is a legend. First of all he is a big part in the creation of all the songs. lyrics and music. And many of those songs are legendary. And back in the early days of Metallica he was actually one of a few drummers who created a new type of drumming style that many metal bands later would follow and build on. His story is also very interesting, coming from Denmark, going to the US as very young where he end up being apart in the creation of Metallica.
The bassist at this time was Jason Newsted. He did the vocals near the end. Jason brought a lot of energy to Metallica and just made the shows a lot of fun. The drummer is Lars by the way. He isn't a technical drummer by any means, but I would argue he is one if the greatest drummers of all-time. His ear for arrangements and the overall aggressive feel he brings pulls Metallica's sound together.
This performance was part of the black album tour and was recorded on Live Shit: Binge & Purge DVD. If you enjoy this song, you need to see the entire show. Jason was a great backing vocalist for James and a excelent live performer.
I've seen several performances of this song in different years, but there has never, ever been a "creeping death" performance like the one played at Live in Russia 1991! Absolutely unique!
I absolutely love your energy towards Metallica. They truly are amazing. I highly suggest you react to Welcome Home (Sanitarium) live in Seattle '89. Possibly the best concert ever recorded, and Metallica at their absolute best!! Keep doing what you do!!
Finally some more Mighty Metallica 🔥🔥🔥🔥. James, Lars (drums), Kirk ( lead guitar) and Jason ( at that time bassist and second vocals). This is a very good version but the Moscow version is also so impressive so go see it🔥🔥🔥. Next one; Disposable Heroes live in Mexico 2009 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘. It will blow you away 🤘🤘🤘. By the Way; your dress in red and white are the colours in the danish flag and you honor Lars and me ( both from Denmark) 🇩🇰🇩🇰☀️☀️🤘🤘🔥🔥
I told her to react to this Version because there are many Reactions to Moscow ´91 and I think a little Difference would be good, also for the Channel 😉
I also prefer this concert over the newer ones. The pureness of the energy is just crazier here. My favourite song from this concert is the master of puppets with long intro and Blackened. It's a gem too. They sang over pollution in a metal concert in the 80's. They were so deep in so many ways.
Back up vocals is Jason Newsted and bass player. A great and under rated bass player and a fellow fan on stage living out his and our dream to be up there jamming and rocking out.
That's my boy Jason Newsted barking on the microphone! I don't think this performance is better than the one from Moscow just because that one is beyond iconic. But you really can't go wrong with any Metallica performance from the Black Album era. It's peak Metallica and I do believe Jason was a great component of that powerhouse of energy. And if I may be so bold, you look fabulous; the makeup, hair, dress... it's like, yes girl, I'm here for it. Also, your ''noooooo'' when the song was over was super cute haha keep the reactions coming!
As said by others..." For Whom the Bell Tolls" live is great. And remember this... The first time James and Lars heard/saw Cliff, they said that they heard a guy playing the bass like a guitar and when they turned to look, all they saw was red hair flying in the air.
I don’t think there are many true Metallica fans who really ‘hate’ Lars; there are some, perhaps many, within the community who are critical of him at times but I think hate is a strong word. Most informed people know that Metallica wouldn’t exist in the first place or likely have stayed together through several difficult periods if it weren’t for Lars.
When you're done checking out this masterpiece..I recommend "Harvester of Sorrow" taken from the same concert in Moscow it's probably the best live version I've ever seen and heard ..Seattle 89' comes pretty close though.👊💀👊
Omg you are lovely person! The smile you had when the solo kicked in?! Just awesome! Got to subscribe. By the way, Metallica was great in this era. Bassist Jason made them give everything, every night. Pure energy! Jason is deeply missed.
First time I seen Metallica live was 1994 I was 10yrs old. Seen them live 13x since. Best live band ever imo. Energy is simply unmatched. If you can sit/stand still while Metallica is playing you aren't human.
My favorite song by Metallica, the energy is so high. Personally my favorite video of this song is the Moscow concert! They are so much more intense and the crowd also gets you fired up! At least check it out once on your own time
Hey Biss, thanks for trusting me and doing your Reaction to this Version. I see, you enjoyed it very much. Every Stage on the World is´nt big enough for an Energy bomb like Jason Newsted - here on Bass and Backing Vocals, he is such a Beast in Crowd Control. Next one should be "Disposable Heroes" from Mexico City 2009. *gib* 😅 see you on Tw*tch, ❤ Samson
Metallica was at the time of this recording: James Hetfield - Lead vocals and Rhythm Guitars Lars Ulrich - Drums Kirk Hammett - Lead guitars and backing vocals Jason Newsted - Bass Guitar and backing vocals ( He's the one you saw singing at the end of this song!) Jason left metallica after being in the band for 14 years. He replaced Cliff Burton after his untimely death while on tour. Jason was replaced by current bassist Robert Trujillo.
Lars is in the top 10 drummers of all time and in his younger days he was number one. Stop listening to all the haters on here and make up your own mind
Would love to see you react to one of their 2022 performances as well! They still kill it. Whiplash or Trapped Under Ice, they have a performance from each show on their channel so yeah. Take your pick lol
If you want crowd control for this song, watch the Monsters of Rock video from '91 in Moscow. That was some serious crowd control. Metallica in the 80's & 90's were unstoppable. They still are, but at different pace and energy about them. Jason's energy is what made them go that much harder in those times. If James didn't want to, or couldn't sing he would take over. All while headbanging and playing that bass. Battery '89 {Live in Seattle} For Whom the Bell Tolls '85 {Day on the green} If you want more of Jason Flotsam & Jetsam {Doomday for the Deciever} N3WSTED {HEAVY METAL EP} Chophouse Band
No one dislikes Lars as a drummer. Some people dislike him as the face of trying to shut down pirated free online downloads of music in the Napster era. That's where the Lars hate comes from. The young folks like yourself miss this because no one properly explains this in these reaction videos. They see/hear someone playing drums at a high level and wonder why are people complaining about the drummer? Nothing to do with musicianship.
It is easy to forget that the 80s-early Metallica was really heavy and aggressive straight metal, they were great live, and the sound was raw as hell. This is the Metallica that influenced and helped define a future generation of metal.
They hate on Lars due to the Napster situation but anyone that says his not a great drummer is A. Hater or B. Clueless! In any case great reactions as always ✌️🍻
he really isn't a great drummer though. personality be damned. he's just... not very good. he improvises from show to show, and that's just not a metal norm. He'd be "good" in a punk band.
The history of Bassists for Metallica was: 1. Ron McGovney 2. Cliff Burton. 3. Jason Newsted 4. Robert Trujillo. They each have unique qualities, and occasionally had back-up vocal parts in the songs. The 2 members of the band who have been with them since the beginning are James and Lars. Dave Mustane was the original lead guitarist, but he left and then came Kirk Hammet. In all honesty, Cliff Burton was arguably the best of the four bassists, and that was because when he came on board, he brought a lot of music theory and harmonic utilization to the band. Burton also played Classical Piano when he was younger, and was a true musical aficionado, and that helped catapult them to the top of the rock world.
The back up vocals was Jason Newstead the bass player that replaced Cliff Burton who then was himself replaced by Robert Trujillo who is still with the band.
The version of this song live in Moscow in 1991 right in the middle of the dissolution process of the URSS in front of more than 1.5 million people is one of the most epic musical events in history without a doubt. If you could react to that, we'd surely appreciate it, but you can just watch it for yourself. Life changing stuff lol
This band is why I picked up guitar when I was 12, and why I started dabbling in bass guitar after high school before making the switch permanently. Particularly, this song. So crushing. You really want energy? Check out their live performance of Whiplash from this show. Holy hell. And as previously mentioned, the 2nd vocalist is bassist Jason Newsted. He took the spot after Cliff Burton, and my biggest bass guitar inspiration, died. Before he joined, he played in a band that occasionally covered Metallica songs, and he did the vocals on them, which ended up being a great addition for backup vocals and taking over in spots to give James a break. You should really see some oooooold clips of Metallica when Cliff was in the band. He will blow your mind.
Metallica's albums are killer, but nothing beats them live! I'm glad you picked this version. Their other vocalist was Jason Newsted. I've always liked Jason's backup vocals for 'tallica.
Im so glad you reviewed this one and not the moscow one. Here you can really see James and Jason being beasts they are. Jason is the bassist who has amazing, heavy and dark backing vocals. NOthing wrong with moscow but thats the one everyone see's. Also Jason replaced Cliff Burton in 1986 after Cliff's death. Jason left in 2001 and was replaced by Robert Trujilo. Jason was the backing vocals. You can hear him in almost every album song from 1988-1998. 1998 was garage inc. covers of other bands. You can also hear Jasons backing vocals in live performances from 1986-2001 and then again in 2009 and 2011 when they played together again.
The "2nd vocalist" is Jason Newstead, the band's second bass player who succeeded Metallica's original bass player Cliff Burton after he was killed in a tour bus accident, he left the band on 2001 and was replaced by Rob Trujillo who is there current bassist
Jason Newsted, was the bass player for Metallica that was singing in this song for THIS concert. He was formally in a band called Flotsam and Jetsam, then Cliff Burton died, First Bass player for Metallica, and Jason was chosen after a long try out for bass player. He left the band a few years ago, maybe 10, and now they have the bass player from Suicidal Tendencies/Infectious Grooves.
@@19samson84 You are right! Ron McGovney was the first bass player, but I would have to look at my albums to see if his name is credited with any songs on Kill Em All. And Jason leaving the band feels more like 10 years to me... but I did say, maybe, it's been 21? That makes me feel old. What would people these days do without google? I have known Metallica since I was 12 and I don't think I ever really knew Cliff wasn't the original bass player. I would definitely say that more people know that Dave Mustaine was in the band originally, rather than Ron.
During this tour in the early 90's bassist Jason Newsted would take over vocals on a few songs sometimes it was Creeping Death sometimes Seek & Destroy sometimes Whiplash. the concerts were 3 hours long and it was a rare opportunity for James Hetfield to rest his voice. it proved beneficial since this tour went on for nearly 3 years. I was lucky to catch their concert in Miami Florida back when I was an angry 16 year old . " my second Metallica concert I've seen on 7 different tours ."and still one of the best shows I've seen them perform.🤘
Metallica have had multiple bassists the one in this era is the 3rd Jason Newsted the first being Ron McGovney, 2nd and most famous Cliff Burton who sadly died in a bus accident, 3rd Jason Newsted, 4th their producer Bob Rock, and 5th being their current bassist Robert Trujilo
I went to a metallical show once and it was crazy good. I was on the ground level and the had folding portable steel chairs on the floor. This was the last song and everyone started a mosh pit. I was lucky i did not get trampled. All the chairs started being thrown on the stage. Awesome show
Great reaction! 🎸📢🎶 Thank you,Bisscute ♥️ Lars Ulrich(the drumer) is one of the best.He co-founded the metal band with James.Lars is considered the pioneer of fast thrash drums.Proven! Metallica is the best metal group ever! 💪
Lars bring that style over US, and developped it. Within his own thing. And even Tom Hunting, Dave Lombardo and Charlie Benante picked up a bit from him within same influences, guys like Possessed radicalized it. In Europe Abbadon by Venom or The guy from Raven were already playing Skan Beat and stuff .
James Hetfield - vocals, rhythm guitar Kirk Hammett - lead guitar Lars Ulrich - drums Jason Newsted - bass guitar, backing vocals That's who he appears to be, he replaced Cliff Burton after his untimely death. He was Metallica's bassist during the mid-80s to the early 2000s. After that time, he quit (he fucking left the band?!?!) and was replaced by Rob Trujillo from Suicidal Tendencies.
I love seeing you having fun reacting to Metallica. It's nice to experience your emotions with someone who is young and reacts the same as we used to. Thank you for what you do and for how you do it. Your energy and naturalness is wonderful and you are so beautifully full of enthusiasm. Thank you again and I look forward to more reactions to Metallica
I've seen them live 3 or 4 times in the late 90s/early 90s (.. And Justice For All and Black Album tours) and they were HIGH ENERGY. They make a lot of mistakes live and their sound isn't quite what you'd expect sometimes, (James can barely sing and play, Kirk doesn't sound the same. and their guitar harmonies sound super bad) but it's good enough. What you don't get from the videos is just how LOUD they play. At one show I attended, everything was vibrating so much.. especially during Jason's bass solo that some of the ceiling tiles fell down. They were huge 2'x2' tiles that people started throwing like frisbees from the upper seats and knocking people out down below. Also, all the folding chairs (whose idea was it to have these?!) from the floor seats were thrown into a large pile (and also being thrown around) to make more room for the massive mosh pit. Creeping Death was always my favorite part with the most audience participation.
As the other people said the bass player's name is Jason newstead he come from a band called phlotsum and jetsam hopefully I spelled that right they're out of Phoenix Arizona I live down there to the 80s and early 90s when he joined the band I met Jason in a studio they were recording we were setting up to record
Lars gets too much hate thrown at him. Yeah, he sometimes rushes his tempos (and can be a dick sometimes.) But he's a dynamic player. He chooses good patterns to fit the song. There wouldn't be a Metallica if it weren't for him.
Greatest Metallica performance was in Seattle in 1989 . Love your choice Biss. But when will you get around to doing "This Love" by Pantera? I swear you'll love it. Or even "The Floods" by Pantera. That song is Dime's masterpiece.
Her reaction though. 🤣🤣 She's head banging and is like into it then realizes James Hetfield walks by the microphone not singing. The look when she realizes Jason Newsted is singing is priceless!
Im not a Metallica guy honestly. But this song is amazing. I used to listen to it a lot when i was a little boy. Now with almost 30, i still enjoy this. Im interested on a Metalcore/Deathcore reaction, but im not sure if u're ready haha. Killswitch Engage is a really good one. They had vocalist. Jesse and Howard. They are both AMAZING and my favourites! Motionless in White is a great band too and again, one of those bands pretty much unique. Something more "light" and chill can be "All time low", no screams at all, but fun to watch!
Love your reaction and Metallica was my band back in my teens. They are great. I would like to see your reactions to Devilskin, either All Fall Down or Start a Revolution. They have many more good songs but I think you will enjoy these to start out with. Keep up the excellent reactions.
James Hetfield = Lead Vocals & Rhythm/Lead Guitar Kirk Hammett = Lead Guitar Cliff Burton = Bass/Backing Vocals (until SEP 1986, died in a tour bus accident) Lars Ulrich = Drums Jason Newsted = Bass/Backing Vocals (successor to Cliff) Newsted left Metallica around a decade later. I forget exactly when. I also forget the name of the dude who replaced him. Haha. I kind of fell out of Metallica after 1992, with the only material I bothered with from them after that time, was the 1998 compilation Garage Inc.
I love the Metallica of the '80s. My favorite two albums are Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. Those are both excellent albums with great songs with a lot of energy.
Metallica still sounds great live and their sound quality is top notch nowadays..some of the 2018/19 stuff was also stunning..older and adapted but still brilliant..Nimes 2009 was incredible also.
So sick. This is the best Live version of this song I have ever heard. A good step from here IMO: "Sanitarium" or "Disposable Heroes" From Master of Puppets album. Cliff Burton was there.
Their absolute best song ever, from their best album in my opinion. An Old Testament story put to heavy metal? A brilliant epic. This live version is a bit faster than the studio one, though not by much. Over time they tweaked the song in the live performances, into those harmonized guitars at certain points near the start and end, a truly great improvisation which developed, perfect for the song. The lyrics could lend 'ammo' to any fire & brimstone type of preacher, who espouses the idea of 'god-fearing' (not my personal choice as a Catholic)...you cannot hear the way James sings them and not feel a little fear of what God can do to his enemies when angered like he was by the Pharoahs...chilling. Once again, perfect for metal.
I read a lots of comments mentioning Cliff Burton and I would love to do a reaction to a Metallica song with him in the band , what would you recommend?? Thank you everyone ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@sadsadasdsadasdsadas Actuallly he s playing deeper and tighter in 1992-1993, even in 1994.
The line up in this video Is James Hetfield (rhytm Guitar and vocals)
Lars Ulrich (drums)
Kirk (not Kurt) Hammett (lead guitar)
And the Beast himself Jason Newstead (Bass and backing vocals) the First three of them never changed but they had 3 bassists First Cliff Burton second Jason Newstead and the third which Is the current one Robert Trujillo
@S V Oh damn i forgot about the the useless one and the ginger junkie
binge and purge performance is beast mode metallica....seattle,san diego,mexico....my fave is seattle....
Jason is the 3rd bassist
They made him multi millionare, he is fine :)
@S V they all had their part In the crap Jason had to go through
I've been a musician most of my life and play many different instruments.
That's awesome! I watched this VHS set so many times as a teenager and into my 20s. I still have the CD/VHS box set, Binge and Purge!
Jason is the bassist and was such a beast live.
this is my favorite version of this song. i do miss jason on bass in the band
This is the greatest ERA of Tallica. I would love to travel back in time to see this live
Wrong 83-86
@sadsadsa asadasd 😄
Me too, man, me too
Glad you did this version. Awesome sound. Love the heaviness of these downpicked guitar riffs.
You're officially my favorite reactor. So much enthusiasm and true appreciation for music.
Aweee thank you so much
This performance was part of the black album tour and was recorded on Live Shit: Binge & Purge DVD.
Metallica - No Leaf Clover( Live S&M2, 09.06.2019)
Jason Newsted!!! The undisputed KING of backup vocals... I miss it so much...
I like him a lot too ❤️
Finally some more Mighty Metallica 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
@@19samson84 👍 The San Diego version is 🔥🔥🔥
@@stigpetersen9701 yes it is.. The whole Concert is epic
@@19samson84 I have seen them live 18 times….first time ‘92 in Copenhagen 🔥🔥🔥
@@stigpetersen9701 wow, I have seen them Seven Times..
Jason is on bass. He was my favorite bassist in the band. Not saying he's better or anything. Justy favorite.
I also prefer this concert over the newer ones. The pureness of the energy is just crazier here. My favourite song from this concert is the master of puppets with long intro and Blackened. It's a gem too. They sang over pollution in a metal concert in the 80's. They were so deep in so many ways.
Late 80’s,early 90’s was peak Metallica….when Rock Stars looked and acted like Rock Stars…pure energy, aggression and attitude.🤟😊
Metallica DISPOSABLE HEROES LIVE IN MEXICO CITY 2009❤️❤️❤️
HELL YEAH!!!
Absolutely, one of the best version ever :)
Yeahh
Nop.
@@LuisRojas-ht7bm yep 🤘🤟
Thank you so much for the kind words and support
Great reaction! This performance is so intense that it gives me chills! Damn this was my youth! Feeling like reborn after hearing this 😅🤘🔥🔥
As said by others..." For Whom the Bell Tolls" live is great.
The members of Metallica in this years of the video was James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet, Lars Ulrich and Jason Newsted. You're reactions are really good!
Thank you so much❤️
Omg you are lovely person!
Metallica live with Jason Newsted was something else than todays metallica
My favorite song by Metallica, the energy is so high. Personally my favorite video of this song is the Moscow concert! They are so much more intense and the crowd also gets you fired up! At least check it out once on your own time
Metallica ...and justice for all live Seattle 89
Hey Biss, thanks for trusting me and doing your Reaction to this Version. I see, you enjoyed it very much. Every Stage on the World is´nt big enough for an Energy bomb like Jason Newsted - here on Bass and Backing Vocals, he is such a Beast in Crowd Control. Next one should be "Disposable Heroes" from Mexico City 2009. *gib* 😅 see you on Tw*tch, ❤ Samson
Metallica was at the time of this recording:
James Hetfield - Lead vocals and Rhythm Guitars
Lars Ulrich - Drums
Kirk Hammett - Lead guitars and backing vocals
Jason Newsted - Bass Guitar and backing vocals ( He's the one you saw singing at the end of this song!) Jason left metallica after being in the band for 14 years. He replaced Cliff Burton after his untimely death while on tour. Jason was replaced by current bassist Robert Trujillo.
Se tem Jason, tem energia pura ao vivo 👏👏 grande Jason newsted 👍
Jason Newsted on backing vocals 🤘🏼 they should have done that on albums for sure, maybe then he would still be in the band
This concert is very underrated everyone always goes for the Moscow or Seattle one
I had the opportunity to see Metallica twice in Pittsburgh,PA.. Justice for all and the black album..Best damn shows ever..period..
Hi, you have to check out their Seattle 1989 concert for sure. Welcome Home Sanitarium and For whom the bell tolls are two good choices.
the four horsman seattle 89 or maybe san diego 1992 because i love that drum switch with lars
Yeah whiplash performance is awesome
If you want crowd control for this song, watch the Monsters of Rock video from '91 in Moscow. That was some serious crowd control.
Metallica in the 80's & 90's were unstoppable. They still are, but at different pace and energy about them. Jason's energy is what made them go that much harder in those times. If James didn't want to, or couldn't sing he would take over. All while headbanging and playing that bass.
Battery '89 {Live in Seattle}
For Whom the Bell Tolls '85 {Day on the green}
If you want more of Jason
Flotsam & Jetsam {Doomday for the Deciever}

Some people hate his drumming. That is fine. He was not a competent drummer when they formed Metallica.
You should check out Metallica with Cliff Burton the classic era. 85-86. Roskilde Denmark, or Hammerfest DE
Biscute your life will never be the same! I love you
Удивительно, что такой красотульке нравиться такая музыка. Восхищен этим и вашей красотой.
She's looking for a certain type of boyfriend...😉
Yess my fav concert of them so underrated show, also you can try The four Horsemen same show, and well say about Lars (the drummer)!
Jason left 21 Years ago..and Cliff wasn´t the first Bass Olayer in Metallica 😉
Thnk u for reacting my fav song... and its jason
he was fit in the band and very handsome
True true ❤️
Thank you,Bisscute ♥️
Lars Ulrich(the drumer) is one of the best.He co-founded the metal band
with James.Lars is considered the
pioneer of fast thrash drums.Proven!
James Hetfield - vocals, rhythm guitar
Kirk Hammett - lead guitar
Lars Ulrich - drums
Jason Newsted - bass guitar, backing vocals
That's who he appears to be, he replaced Cliff Burton after his untimely death.
Disposable heroes....AGREED!!!!
ITS NOT SECOND VOICE, IS JASON NEWSTED BASS GUITAR
As the other people said the bass player's name is Jason newstead he come from a band called phlotsum and jetsam hopefully I spelled that right they're out of Phoenix Arizona I live down there to the 80s and early 90s when he joined the band I met Jason in a studio they were recording we were setting up to record
It’s songs like this one that make me sooooo thankful the replay button exists XD
Best front man in musical history! He earned it - he got to be the guy everyone wants to be!........ Good for you James
Lars gets too much hate thrown at him. Yeah, he sometimes rushes his tempos (and can be a dick sometimes.) But he's a dynamic player. He chooses good patterns to fit the song. There wouldn't be a Metallica if it weren't for him.
Just seeing the raw reaction. Your face, smile...It's So refreshing.....keep going ...VERY rock girl top......I am more than happy I subscribed!!
I
You are 100% correct about Lars as their drummer!
You’re reaction to this song, just proves how AWESOME you are!
Aweeee thank you❤️
Greatest Metallica performance was in Seattle in 1989 . Love your choice Biss. But when will you get around to doing "This Love" by Pantera? I swear you'll love it. Or even "The Floods" by Pantera. That song is Dime's masterpiece.
No this whole live video is they're ultimate live performance. Especially when Lars runs over the stage to another drumset in The Four Horseman
Classic and legendary. There's only one Metallica- grateful I grew up with them.
Her reaction though. 🤣🤣 She's head banging and is like into it then realizes James Hetfield walks by the microphone not singing. The look when she realizes Jason Newsted is singing is priceless!
So cute to watch you nearly lift off your seat in the beginning...wonderful reaction, thank you!
James Hetfield = Lead Vocals & Rhythm/Lead Guitar
Kirk Hammett = Lead Guitar
Cliff Burton = Bass/Backing Vocals (until SEP 1986, died in a tour bus accident)
Lars Ulrich = Drums
Jason Newsted = Bass/Backing Vocals (successor to Cliff)
Newsted left Metallica around a decade later.
Jason Newstedd at the bass is the second vocalist
The guitar comes on, the smile comes out, the eyes crinkle, and all is right with the world lol
I can’t help myself hahahha
