To bad they never had a full video concert with Cliff. But Cliff 'em All is still fucking prestine. When you hear Call of Ktulu live in '84 you really can hear the missing bass from the studio recording. I'd say that was his true masterpiece.

@@matt37032 Rob is the best musician they've had. And I like him. Saw him with Suicidal Tendencies back in the day. Liked him with Ozzy. He's a cool dude. But for me nowhere near Jason. This performance here is the proof for me.
@@fronthorse I ain't saying I don't agree, I just think Rob has had a longer run and really cemented his legacy if that makes sense, Jason was incredible but the fact Rob has come In and made his mark is awesome.
@@matt37032 Rob was able to come in and reap the benefits of a new stable Metallica. He lasted this long because he's a damn good bassist yes, but also because the members of Metallica fully accepted him. There was no full acceptance for Jason. He could have kept going another 5 years but who is going to continue to keep being disrespected? His departure was needed. In doing so he made them take a look internally at there own personal issues that were spilling out into the band to the point there was no communication. They have functioned in macho booze infused chaos for so long, they didn't know how to grieve and express there feelings. Now they can do that. That is why Rob had lasted. Because he is literally in a family and part of it. Jason never was considered family even though he was the perfect fit!
