Wondering what to pack for your European summer trip? Avoid these key mistakes in this summer Europe packing tutorial/pack with me video.
Hey everyone! I hope you enjoy this video all about packing for summer in Europe! Let me know if I forgot anything :)
So not true. Im in europe and wear lululemon everyday. Fed up with americans making fake information about how i dress when im the european!!! Because you are wrong
European tour with the fam in 25 days! Counting down the dayzzzzz.
We are planning our 2-week trip for next year. I challenged myself - made a realistic list of what to pack for 7 days with the intention of doing laundry halfway. I am proud to say I was able to cram - I mean fit - everything into my carry-on! I will need to bring my toiletries and make-up in my “personal” bag. No cubes for me, but I did roll.
Thank you, these are really good tips! I would recommend bringing some kind of a hat too! The sun is so intense, especially in the south of Europe.
She is wrong...we wear lululemon in europe everyday
I suggest using a cross body bag rather than a backpack when walking around. Europe is known for pick pockets. If you do need to use a backpack keep it on your chest rather than on your back.
Thanks Christina! Great video as always 😊
I really don't understand why everyone always says Europeans dress up more than Americans (or Canadians, I guess) do. Every time I have been, I've seen people wearing every kind of casual clothes, including athleisure. Last fall I had waitresses on two subsequent days who were wearing leggings (one was in Belgium, the other was in France). Sometimes the casually dressed are just tourists (and in Europe a lot of the other tourists I encounter are also European), but not always.
Packing scarves is a great travel tip. When travelling through Italy, it was hot so I either wore a longer skirt with a tank top or a tee shirt with a skort. When going into a cathedral, the scarf, would either cover my shoulders or I would tie it around my waist like a sarong to cover my knees. Also scarves are awesome for accessorizing and hiding stains😊
Colombia tamiami shirt is better. You dont want to get skin cancer. Forget the scarf for summer - you will look ridiculous. Better to wear lululemon stylw (im european)
@@traceymarshall5886 I’m European as well. Your comment shows you don’t travel a lot or you would see that women all over Europe wear scarves. So no I didn’t look ridiculous. You can get lovely silk scarves in countries like France and Italy. Also I wasn’t wearing a wool scarf for heavens sake. 😂 Plus, if you are visiting religious places you can use them to cover head and shoulders, and are great to throw over your shoulders if your getting too much sun as well as being good coverups on beaches.
Your shirt is super cute!
Wool really is the way to go. I have worn my wool dress in 100+ degrees in the summer and it was just as cool as wearing my cotton stuff.
I watch them all but you always seem to add hints. Thanks ❤
t-shirts are perfectly fine. many people on a daily basis will wear jeans & t-shirt or a crop top. I think this will be the most common combo. the nice, flowy clothes are what you'd wear for work or an evening out, but to run everyday errands Europeans will get jeans, t-shirt (or sweatshirt in colder days) and sneakers. we are not that fancy.
Hi love your videos and heading to Europe for the first time in June!
Great tips. Off to Poland soon and staying at Airbnbs that have washing machines. Also taking some laundry detergent sheets. Love those merino wool outfits, must look into those. 👏🇦🇺
Love the outfit you are wearing ❤
I love all of your Europe packing tips and videos. We spent 30 days in Europe last summer and I followed much of your advice, but I’m still a “what if I need” over-packer- but I’m working on that and getting much better.😂😂. Sadly, We won’t be going this summer-we’ll be staying in the states. I am looking forward to our next trip which will be a fall, Christmas or spring trip. Summer can be really hot in many European cities/towns. I love your black/white pants. Do you have a link for those? Have fun and thanks for all the wonderful advice!
Thanks for all the helpful tips! My one tip is to make sure your plane outfit meshes with the other clothes you bring. I am always freezing on the plane (and allergic to wool) so I would wear big hoodies and jeans even if I was going to the tropics 😹 so now I wear many many layers that mix and match with my packed items, lighter pants, and add a scarf or two.
Maybe I missed when you said, but where does your very cute top/dress come from?
My husband and I are seeing Taylor Swift in in Zurich July 10th. I’m planning on wearing a red maxi skirt and a leopard tank top. Both can be worn again in Paris when I will mix and match with my black palazzo pants and two other cute black tops. One long sleeved one with a cap sleeve.
Great tip about the Sandals!
I'm so behind on your other recent videos! But i hope you had a great time at the concert! I'm so jealous😮
At the Duomo in Milan, my brother bought me one of the poncho things since i had on shorts and a tank top 😁
I learned that navigation apps suck your phone's battery. I also bring a pair of flip flops or hotel slippers for the hotel.
The concert was amazing - thanks!! And thanks for leaving such a quick comment haha. It’s honestly so impressive to me how quickly vendors bust out the ponchos and umbrellas when it starts to rain!! I’ve been caught in the train a few times this trip but it hasn’t been too bad haha
@@HappytoWander oh the poncho was too cover my shoulders and knees! They sold it at the ticket booth for the Duomo. Lol I think it was made of paper. My brother and sister in law laughed at me because I was so excited to wear it that I put it on before we even got in line to get into the church 😂🤣 it doesn't have a hood either. Very light and airy. I wish I hadn't thrown it out. Haha I'm such a dork 😁
This video came at the perfect time❤ Thanks for sharing!
please vlog southern Italy. I will be specially interested in this region. I was in Spain over Easter and used a few scarves of different size and texture. I use marino wool socks and can reduce the amount I bring because I let them air out and wear them again.
Would love the link to the skechers!
I love your custom Taylor Swift skirt! Where did you get it made?
Are tote bags safe from pickpockets?? Love all your travel vids😍 going to Europe for the first time soon and your advice has been SO helpful!
I'm going to Rome in August. I'm carrying a crossbody bag.
So in love with the black and white pants! ❤ May I please have the brand and where to buy???? Please 😍
Which ESIM is your preference? And are you able to hotspot your travel companion?
Athleisure wear is everywhere in the UK, as are t-shirts.
which sandals are those :)
Super video. Another question: What about packing silk for travel - it is light, but does it wrinkle or smell?
It might depend on the type of silk but I have good experience with silk taffeta
@@LadyDragonbane Thank you very much for your answer 🙂
About smell, when you sweat in it you can hang it and air it out. Silk is amazing for me.
I added a silk sleeveless top to my recent trip to Italy and was surprised by how often I wore it. I aired it out and spot treated a stain.
@@mhtammi Great. I'm happy for you.
Can you do a men's dress wear for Italy?
Depends on the age and where he wants to go.
Are cargo pants not a good idea for Europe? I prefer to wear pants than skirts and I don’t like to wear dresses.
As a European (German to be precise) my only recommendation is: wear whatever kind of pants you prefer 🤗 You will see any kind of outfit in Europe.
I would consider a good pair of ballet flats in place of sandals. As with everything else it depends on what you're doing and your style but they're good for both walking around the town and dressier dinners. As a bonus, based on my observations as a European, they don't scream tourist in the same way sandals (and flip-flops) can do
God bless
"Pack things that go well together." Like athleisure and t-shirts? Screw what is 'normal' in that country. If you're traveling, wear what you want! Packing the dressy sunglasses b/c that's what more traditional in that country is dumb unless you're absolutely wanting to fit in.
So not true. Im in europe and wear lululemon everyday. Fed up with americans making fake information about how i dress when im the european!!! Because you are wrong
Wow thats a ridiculous oversize bag
