It's unbelievable how much I was able to relate to this video. I've been having panic attacks for about 7 years now, and about two years ago I started a journal where I write down what I did every single day, and like you said, it helps so much to see how far I've come. I, too, never thought I could have a job or do anything with my life, but I finally went out and got a job a month ago, and I've never felt this positive about the future before. Great video!
This was so helpful. I suffered with agoraphobia for around 5 years. I was scared to leave the house in case I fainted so I totally get what you mean about being scared of being sick! This is such a good idea I think I'm going to start a journal. Thank you :)
It's horrible to hear that you girls suffer with anxiety but it is always comforting to know that you're not alone and that you're not the only person who feels this way.
Oh my I feel like we are the same person. It felt like you talked directly to me. I am at my worst now, and as you say it feels IMPOSSIBLE that I could ever work or leave my apartment. And i totally feel you about not writing down your feelings. I have enough negative thoughts in my head, I don't need them on paper too. This was so helpful. Subbed!❤️
Im geniunely so sorry to hear you've been having such a bad time. I know what its like to be in that place, but don't put any pressure on yourself, you don't have to do anything that you can't do. Take it at your own pace :) hope you are feeling better soon
Emily Rose I’ve dealt with anxiety since a very young age I’ve wrote my feelings down when I was younger but never work I’m older now and feel I need to get back into journaling but not sure what to write to relieve my anxiety or anger or nervousness not sure what’s going to help your ideas we’re good but don’t think it’s gonna work for me personally I don’t do anything all day really right now
It helps me so much to know I'm not the only one who gets so anxious about things like being late for literally anything, etc. I'm not physically well right now but I worry about things like ever being able to hold down a job because of stuff like agoraphobia and general uneasiness with it all. Thanks for doing what you do and sharing your advice/experiences, it helps so much!! :)
Thank you such a video like that. i always see the mood tracker. and i just gives me anxiety to track that i was spiraling into depression again. and just like recording how productive your day was or how you tried to go out or an activity that helps you. It totally makes a huge difference.
Whenever I feel like I can't journal or just dont have a lot of motivation or energy to do so, I record myself on my computer and just talk about what's on my mind. I've been trying to do it everyday or at least once a week. I don't share it with anyone and I can look back at it and remember that it does get better.
I am sososoooo ridiculously glad I have found you!! Definitely gunna binge on your videos tonight. And I'm definitely going to get a journal, my anxiety has been ridiculous since starting uni last year and I never thought of doing this so thank you :) I hope you are doing well xx
Wow. This is a wonderful video. THANK YOU! ppl should journal differently. People are different. I think this goes for most things in life. We can take suggestions, learn different coping mechanisms and ideas and then incorporate them into our lives in a way that works for us individually. I appreciate you sharing. Some people just don't understand how difficult the little things really can be. I feel less alone in the world after watching this.
That is so nice thank you so much :) youre so right everyone needs to find whats right for them! im glad you feel less alone because you are definitely not alone
this is so helpful! thankyou so much for this video. when you said that you thought youd never get a job made me tear up! ive never had a job because of my anxiety and always felt like the only one. thankyou so much. just subscribed x
This was really really helpful! My younger sister suffers from anxiety & I have no idea how to help her as its not something I have gone through.. I suggested she start journaling but she didnt find writing her feelings that beneficial so thank you for these ideas!
Good advice. I recently started writing down 10 gratitudes each day, and I think it's really helping with my anxiety. After working from home for the last 5-6 years, the thought of working inhouse again is a tough one. I still have trouble imagining myself doing it, (again) but I've come a long way from panic attacks and all kinds of physical symptoms. So there's that :-)
thats amazing :) i now how you feel, it can be a daunting thought but try not to put too much pressure on yourself! try your best, and take little steps
You have so many of the same anxiety symptoms as I have; I still have a fear of going outside on some days and I hate being late to appointments and work so I double, triple etc. check my schedule... Thank you for sharing!
Emily, I found you after you did a video on LikeKristen's channel. I am having such a hard day today, but your self care video inspired me to take a self care day today. One of the things that is making today so difficult is that I am afraid I will never be able to work again. Thank you for sharing how far you've come in such a short amount of time, it gives me very much needed hope. You mentioned fear of being sick, do you have emetophobia? I do and it feels debilitating sometimes, it is so good to know that I'm not alone. I am sorry this message is so long, I just wsnted you to know that you've helped someone and made a difference in my life today♡
I have anxiety too. Have dealt with it for the past 10 years. I get better and have setbacks sometimes. Right now going through a setback. So I'm in the stage where I'm anxious to leave the house cuz I'm worried about not feeling well. It has been worse before though. And I have good days even now where I'm good going out, just not by myself though. But it's still a struggle so I totally get where you're coming from. I'm not working right now, but I really really want to! I've moved to Spain all on my own to teach English, so I know I can get back to that. I also have Lyme disease too (my anxiety was actually triggered by the Lyme). Thanks for this video! I love keeping journals and find that they do usually help! I recently subbed to your channel. :)
little tiny steps, if you make a little goal and stick to it like leave the house twice a week, it really helped me but trust me you will get there whether it takes a week or a year you can do it :)
i had a job that i never thought i would ever be able to and i did it for a couple of months but ended up melting down. do you have any tips for this ? or how to cope at work
You deserve to be a much bigger channel! These videos have helped me so much so thank you! I have Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith. Keri Smith's books and journals help me a lot, you should have a look at them next time you're in Waterstones or WHSmiths :)
Hi, thank you for sharing your story. I am someone who struggles with ocd. Your constant checking and re-checking sounds similar to ocd. It is an anxiety disorder but they normally do exposure or erp therapy to treat it. I'm not sure if you're seeing a therapist, but I've gotten to the point where I've built up compulsions, so the anxiety feels crippling. I'm not sure if this helps you in some way, but if you're finding you are having quite a bit of anxiety, it may be worth looking into.
I had anxiety ever since I was born and I have 9 journals and I don't do well with crowded places like on school buses or cafeterias and I don't have friends because they don't want to be my friend because I have anxiety and I can't help it if I have anxiety and I have ADHD and I am also a slow learner at school because I don't understand school work like I was in normal classes and the teacher was like reading the work to me and it didn't help so now I am ESE and my anxiety is taking over my life and I really want to control it but I can't and I am 16 years old now and I still have anxiety
I love your videos! What sort of things do you do to distract yourself from anxiety because I have anxiety as well and that would be really helpful!!! 😊
Oh My God!!!! I suffer from the exact same thing everytime I leave my house or somebody comes to my house i feel like im going to throw up :( I know its just an embarrassment thing but it stills affects (effects??? I'm shit at english) me so much!!!! and now im not really upset about it im more angry and pissed off!!!!!!!

+Emma Jane its so difficult, everyday you will get better though :) and you will never faint it is just anxiety
I also have a fear of fainting/being sick mainly because I'm scared someone will make me go the hospital or call an ambulance
