My Mom LOVED Mary Wells. The Beatles were big fans. When they realized they were HUGE in America and planned their tour they requested Mary to tour with them. I remember Ringo had said they were excited and went to meet her when she arrived for the tour.

You should check out Millie Small. She did a song called My Boy Lollipop in 1964. Awesome song. She was a tiny Jamaican girl with a big voice.
