    Awesome! My main issue with it is that it uses a set that is retired and now costs around half a $1,000 or more but this is pretty neat. This is the only LEGO gun I have seen that uses pneumatic parts to fire. Keep it up!

    • @L-Bricks
      @L-Bricks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there is no need to buy the complete set, the parts beeing used are easily to get. the ratest part was the pump for a while but now it is available in the recent pneumatic sets. by the way, i am working on a 42128 alternate model at the moment :-)

    HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS EARLIER? You’re so much better than Kevin183. At least you make and advance gun mechanisms unlike that other guy.
    You’re one step closer into making a Blowback Semi-Auto BrickShooter.
    My idea is to use LEGO pneumatics combined with pneumatic switches and everything.
    Basically, you can take the guts of any normal LEGO Brickshooter that is NOT Semi-Auto, attach a valve that only opens then the gun has been shot and the “firing pin” has been reset and then it will open, forcing air into a piston which will push back on the firing pin which will reset it again. It will have another switch at the end to close and the piston is free to move.
    This cycle can continue ON AND ON.
    You can even add Magazines if you want.
    I wish I had the parts to make it though. Would be nice to see it come true.

      next step for me is to build a working gun with motorized pump, after that i will try a magazine that does not depend on gravity. did you see my video from my tank, it has a loading mechanism

      @L-Bricks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you! well at the end it works like an airgun usually works. but there are many details to be build in a very specific way to get it really working. things like hose lenght, valve opening speed, barrel design and so on

      no, just hose cut in required lenght

  • @noname-codm4590
    @noname-codm4590 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I imagine a gun where you have a compressed air tank, then when you pull the trigger. The compressed air will push a spring or elastic mechanism thus storing potential energy in the spring. And when it pushes back at a certain threshold, the supply of compressed air will be cut off and the stored energy in the spring will launch a lego technic axle or a brick.
    My inspiration was taken from blowback mechanisms.

    • @L-Bricks
      @L-Bricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      so you mean the trigger activates a pneumatic mechanism that releases the stored energy from the springs?

    • @noname-codm4590
      @noname-codm4590 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@L-Bricks my thought was that a pneumatic mechanism will pull a long spring (i found a 2 inch spring that fits perfectly in an axle, i removed it from a foaming soap dispenser) or elastics. The spring will propel the bullet.
      Basically I don’t want to pull the spring, i want the pneumatic mech to pull it for me.

    • @L-Bricks
      @L-Bricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i see, and how is the compressed air generated?

    • @noname-codm4590
      @noname-codm4590 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@L-Bricks lol before i saw this video, i thought that if you have like multiple tanks or any storage for compressed air then just slap a new one that is filled or maybe recharge it. Just similar to an air rifle, you need to load compressed air and ammo. But i saw this video and you can just pump air yourself

    • @L-Bricks
      @L-Bricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      a gun with rechargeable and exchangeable air tanks would be a quite cool model when completely made by lego parts. but i wouldnt use a pneumatic system in the trigger because it will cost a lot of air pressure and also cause a time delay which will lower the aiming precision of you gun.

    Try fully automatic without a motor! Subbed, the gun is great!

    • @L-Bricks
      @L-Bricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      fully automatic? somehow energy has to be put into the system, automatic firearms take the energy that is released from the gun powder or compressed air

    • @LegoBuildChannel
      @LegoBuildChannel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@L-Bricks Can you use the pneumatics somehow? Or is my idea too far-fetched? Because a different lego youtuber made a full auto minigun that shoots bricks. His name is Snyzer Tech. Although he did use a motor, I wondered if it was possible to make it full auto using air as the power source.

    • @L-Bricks
      @L-Bricks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LegoBuildChannel it would definately be possible to make it work with pneumatic elements only, but it would be no fun to shoot with such a gun because you would have to pump by hand very very often and it would take too much time to complete a full loading cycle
