Being in this cult did not teach me about how to find a good, respectful person to love and be loved by nor about how to have good relationships with the opposite sex and had me running toward this abusive relationship with bad consequences!

Jahovah's witnesses and Mormons have been around for a long time but is still a cult because it has the aspects of what makes something a cult. Some of those aspects are the levels of control it has over its members (thought, emotions, behaviours, information, etc) and how much it manipulates its members psychologically, vreating a dependency, cutting people off from other groups, etc. Look up the BITE model which gives a clear distinction between what is and isn't a cult.

It’s on TH-cam l I looked and it had a second disk called The Six Degrees Healter Skelter . It’s a biography. Scott Michels . He uses not just rumors he’s heard. He interviewed a lot of people who were there, his team also looked in Libraries and police stations and a. Corners office. They looked everywhere and anywhere the code to get the most truthful information. This is before the movie starts and they have tried made this movie with every true information they couldn’t find them, but they said somebody will probably have something to say about it, and then he rides after they always do. They weren’t related, but there were a lot of deeply traumatized people in the Bay Area that winter. The Jonestown Massacre is what brought us the phrase “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.”

The rug cleaning business though legit had the workers working for far below minimum wage IIRC less than a dollar an hour. I was there from 1976 to 78. Left a lot of friends behind.
