Mike thanks for your videos I learn new facts. Here are some myths I used to believe: Eating carrots help your sight, nails and hair keep growing after one dies, getting into a pool or river after eating causes cramps, milk helps your bones being strong.
I believe the reason nocturnal grazing packs on weight is if youre not active after eating your body metabolizes food differently than if youre active after eating.
The green pigment was also used in wallpaper. The bedroom where Napoleon slept when in exile on St. Helena was decorated with this wallpaper. It is thought that this contributed to his death. 6:48
I just had to look up when they stopped using arsenic in green dyes, because I have some old books with green cloth covers, some go back to the 1880s. good thing, the arsenic was no longer used after 1870 so they're fine.
My aunt-in-law used to tell her kids that the crust was burnt bread and it would cut it off for them and she actually believed this but then again she also thought kissing would make you pregnant
One of my favorite things about myths/legends in general is how they typically have a Crum of truth to them at the vary least. I alway look at them with the same mindset as if I was looking at a romantic novel, while the story could be true it is more likely to be fiction with the Crum of truth simply being the time period and setting. Like even in the modern day we use analogies to teach morals and whatnot, and yet so many people think that historical/religious books are ment to be interpreted in a 1:1 scale all the time... It's similar to the idea that "slaves/aliens built the pyramids" rather than the skilled workers who actually built them.
#4 if i need to remember something, i write it down, even if i don't take the notes with me, i generally remember what i wrote, for example a shopping list
My mom always said this about her genealogy. The more times she wrote it down the better she would remember it. And she could tell you dates and such back generations n
To this day I still write actual paper notes on small notepads - yes, I do have a smart phone with notes but it’s so much easier just to look at a piece of paper!!!o
1:24 want to deal away with late night cravings? SLEEP IS NON NEGOTIABLE. You cant compromise your sleep schedule just because you want to play games or do whatever. Then wonder why you are having difficulties with energy and weight loss 🤦♂️
My boy was the easy delivery. My girl was "short & stout" & her shoulder got stuck. I guess we're not "normal"! Handwriting notes help you remember better b/c you are using more senses. Your ears hear the lecturer say the words, your sense of hearing; your hand movements form muscle memory (not sure if that's a sense, but "dialing" my phone # in the air helps me remember it better, proprioceptors &/or the sense of touch?); & seeing the word on paper uses your sense of sight. If you read your note out loud (in private study, not at a lecture), that uses another version of the sense of hearing. The more senses you use, the easier remembering will be. I learned this in Nursing school. It works! I worked full time & went to school full time raising 2 kids on my own & going through a non-amicable divorce! I didn't have time to crack a book most times, yet I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I tell people it wasn't ME! God earned that degree!!
Um, witches and magick exists right here in the US. Most new age stores carrying herbs, crystals, and candles for magick charms. Voodun is pretty common in Louisiana. How does anyone not know this?
My grandmother would tell me that crust would make my hair curly. And she would constantly tell me she loved my curls... Being a four year old that looked like he had a Kevin Keegan perm, that was a nightmare.... ....to be fair once I got to six years old in 81, my hair style (parents choice not mine) made me resemble Damien/ the omen or Danny/the shinning
I was to.d that eating the bread crusts gave you curly hair! I was born with very curly hair so thst was one of the stories that couldn’t have been true😁😁. Oh, and reading by moon could make yiu blind - I was born with a very crossed left eye and to this day still have a big problem with depth perception- cannot see through a binocular with both eyes, couldn’t catch a ball if my life depended on it, etc.😳😳
Sadly, I cheated on your channel LOL LOL I watched another top 20 list..... And instantly regretted it. After every thing he said he had to make some commentary about how that was wrong and how we should act right as a society. You sort of do the same thing but you do it all within a sentence you don't drag it out into a 2-minute speech. So thank you for that!
I write stuff down all the time because I know even if I'm not looking at it I'll remember I wrote something down or I tell someone remind me to do something and by saying it out loud I'm more likely to remember it
I don’t care but I refuse to eat food that hurts! That includes Toblerone chocolate bars, the pointy bits stick into the top of my mouth, chilies and wasabi sauce! Ouch! The first time I tasted wasabi sauce I thought my head was going to explode, the waiter had to come running with milk and white bread!🤢🤯🙄! Px
Most lists on TH-cam videos start with 1 and work upward, like top 10 hits of 1970, top 20 romantic comedies by MoJo, etc. It's designed to keep you interested to see what's number 1, even if in this case there's no real hierarchy.

It doesn’t beg the question. It raises the question. Begging the question refers to circular reasoning.

I love hot and spicy foods. I'm also very thin, no matter how much I eat, even fats and sugars. So, I see truth in what you are claiming.

Eating at night does not make you gain weight 😂 excess in calories are what does that. So it doesn’t matter when u eat just how much
Why are you counting backwards? It's so annoying.
It's called a countdown. It's not as annoying as complaints about trivial shit
