Use your paddle shifters on your wheel get a car with high HP and rear wheel drive. Drifting isn’t about the shift as much as throttle control and clutch kicking. Never fully rev your engine keep your throttle between 20 and 60% most cars drift well in 2nd. I also recommend you get a shifter even if it’s the cheap eBay one because the paddles move with the wheel making it hard to up and down shift during a drift but you can get the basics with throttle control and clutch kicking.
