I love this dude and have done for many years. Genesis saved me from a shitty teenage time and through Phil's drumming I was introduced to jazz with his ferociously funky drumming in Brand X. I saw Genesis many times back in the day and Phil solo on his very first solo tour at what was then the Hammersmith Odeon - in the nosebleed seats! Another concert he pushed security guards out the way outside the Royal Albert Hall to walk to me and my then girlfriend to say hello and sign my tour jacket! I was speechless, gob smacked. Lovely fella, truly. I was smitten! So is this all leading to something you may ask? It is. As an audience loving gent and a consummate pro I didn't understand why he made what seemed little or no effort to get his voice back to something like it used to be in the early days, on Genesis' final tour. I understand why he couldn't drum so have no questions there, but surely efforts could have been made to better the voice through voice work and training. It just seemed like he didn't care which made me rather sad and confused.
Ive seen this wonderful man 6 times in concert, not recently, I have to admit. What a great guy and an amazing talent. Jealous people can be vicious and Phil has lots that are jealous of his incredible talents and successes.
Listen to me phil ...whether you went in to acting music or whatever.......... you would always have been a success.....don't put yourself down....you are multi talented I wish I was half the man you are..God bless you

He is very much admired and respected.
More talent in his little finger than most musicians have in their whole body-fabulous drummer(across a range of genres),good singer, wonderful songwriter, great performer. What a legacy-people just can't stand success & hardwork. And his work with John Martyn on a couple of albums is seldom acknowledged.
Your body of work is timeless and will stand the test of time. I think the backlash you've received is a result of the overexposure you had, when you dominated the radio airwaves, TV (Miami Vice) and movie soundtracks. I'm glad the tide is turning for you, you are a legend.
Phil Collins is one of the few human artists that did not sell his soul to the music industry devil. period.
Excellent drummer
Phil, you don't need to explain or apologize for anything. Period.
Ive seen this wonderful man 6 times in concert, not recently, I have to admit. What a great guy and an amazing talent. Jealous people can be vicious and Phil has lots that are jealous of his incredible talents and successes.
Genius. Always loved him.
Just so happens that people love your music Mr Collins
