I am looking for manual variant. But i want the feature of led drl cause that would add to the look of the vehicle. Which variant would you recommend?. Should i instead go for aftermarkett drls?
As per your requirement, you may go for Tata Punch Creative (Manua|) variant as it is equipped with LED DRLs. Moreover, we wouldn't recommend getting the DRLs installed from the aftermarket, in order to avoid hampering or voiding your car's warranty.

Selecting between Nissan Magnite and Tata Punch would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, brand preference, features required, etc. Being the base-spec variant, the Magnite XE looks pretty basic compared to the higher variants. It gets basic steel wheels with hub caps but thankfully, 16-inch wheels are standard across the range, and so are non-body-coloured ORVMs (outside rearview mirrors), halogen headlamps, rear spoiler with stop lamp, and body-coloured door handles. The LED DRLs (present on higher-specced variants) have been given a miss, replaced by L-shaped chrome strips. On close observation, you can even spot the turn indicators positioned next to the ORVMs on the front fenders. At the rear, it gets a wiper, washer and defogger, which is much appreciable. Inside, it comes in a dual-tone layout and is equipped with both front and rear power windows. The base-spec XE Magnite is seen with black fabric seats with grey accents, black inside door handles, internally-adjustable ORVMs, manual AC, and LED instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch MID. It misses out even on an audio system and steering-mounted audio and calling controls. On the other hand, the base-spec Pure features dual front airbags, front power windows, and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel. If you’re looking to stretch your budget to move up the car segments in terms of size and really like Tata’s SUV styling, the Punch Pure could be for you. It’s got proper SUV proportions unlike some entry-level models in the market and you get a relatively spacious cabin too. There’s no compromise in safety for the price as it gets ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard and also earned a five-star safety rating from Global NCAP. From pricing it looks like Tata is afraid to touch their own Nexon. If punch was priced aggressively it would have cannibalised their other sales. . But it's no longer value for money..

If anyone thinking to purchase Tata Punch creative, then have a look at Nissan Magnite XV model. Lots of features and that's also 4 star rated car. 4 star rating is good enough too.

As far as the fuel efficiency is concerned, the AMTs come very close to their manual counterparts and if driven with a light foot, they could probably be even better. However, this also vary dependin on the brand. If you want better mileage from your vehicle then you may go with the manual.

What is the real mileage of tata punch manual? TH-cam pe to koi 10 ki dikha rha koi 18 19 ki to koi koi 22 ki bhi..
The Manual Petrol variant has a mileage of 20.09 kmpl. The Automatic Petrol variant has a mileage of 18.8 kmpl.

Added some useless features but skipped important features in one below top variant. I don't know why Rear Wiper, washer and defogger is considered a luxury when is very much important feature to have if not in the base variant.

And honestly, why are you so grumpy about the pricing? The amount of R&D Tata is putting to make zippy cars with a 3-cyl engine while maintaining fuel efficiency is splendid engineering in itself. And the safety quotient should be a priority for everyone, not an afterthought given the fatalities we have as a nation. Paying a 50k premium for a life lived a little longer is too much? Our priorities need urgent evaluation, if such is a thought.
I honestly feel sorry for the people who are still stuck in the mentality of "kya features hain?" Features won't save your life, nor those features get you anything than hollow pride by showing them off to people who couldn't care less about our existence. Get a safe car, drive safely. "here lies a man with the most feature-rich car", is not something you crave, do you?

Kudos to Tata for designing a car with 5 star safety rating. We appreciate the fact. But Indians have the right to crave for value for money and better features within the budget. In this case, Tata seems to have messed up the pricing with so many variants with only small incremental features and added optional packs to make things more confusing.
What a pathetic explanation for such a sub standard feature car. According to your view the Citroen C5 is also value for money car. Why bother? They also put lots of effort at the cost of foreign labor which is not cheap.

-If you want Safety , Ground Clearance Go for TATA PUNCH
-If you want Mileage , Engine Refinement Go for swift.
one accident is probably enough with swift to die. so remember you might save 300-400 rs on petrol but it might cost you your life.
also punch milage is also good.
Earning a 5 star safety rating has its cost. It requires good platform level fundamentals that push up the cost of the car. If you want cheaper cars go ahead and buy tin boxes from Maruti Suzuki.
For 8 lak spending on this.. I go for kia sonet..
