I’ve shot the best scores of my life with this ball, I own 15 bowling balls and it’s the only ball I use all 3 games of 3 different house leagues now. I was averaging around 208 before getting this ball and since getting the ion pro I’ve not had a night under 230 average. My ball speed is about 19.5 off my hand with 5-550 revs. This ball is all about control and the shape is so predictable and smooth I would have to recommend it to anyone with higher speed and revs looking for something more controllable.
On the mark review of Ion pro. I'm a low rev, low speed bowler. On a 42 foot house pattern, the Ion Pro gave me more carry and higher scores.
That ball is amazing !

The RG is a lot higher on 14 lbs.
2.51 vs 2.47 on 15 lbs.
I just bowl senior league and use the discontinued Xponent (2.49/.042) for my benchmark ball. It's my favorite ball so I can't see replacing it anytime soon. I presume the Ion Pro would be fairly similar in strength and shape.
As someone who has had both, it’s earlier than the Xponent. It also doesn’t lane shine as fast.
Had my pro drill me this ball today after I saw this video. Shot a 279 in second practice game. Its going to be the second ball out of my bag after the Reality 900 followed by the Journey as my third choice.
Brad, I predict that you win your first PBA tour title with that ball.
I picked mine up last week over at Plaza. An interesting change from my Phase 4. Need to catch you guys out locally for some lessons!

So many of Brad's shots were high. My experience with the the Ion Pro has been similar so far. I think I'm going to adjust the surface to 3K and just expect that it won't be in play until game 3. Brad, how would you adjust to the Ion Pro going high? Would you try to get up the back of the ball more with less axis rotation?

I have it and it made my average go up it just carries me ! Like it find the pocket for me !

Reckon IQ tour looks better to my eye.
Ion Pro looks good. The middle asymm ball in my bag is the Motiv Black Venom. It is in between my Phaze 2 and Hustle M-M.
I honestly thought the point of the Tour Dynam-x was supposed to be something similar to this. I was surprised that ball didn’t last long.
That thing was too weak especially when it lane shines.

What’s the ratio of that house shot? I’m currently living in Austria and our house shot is 43’ 4:1 and I forget the mils. I’m a lefty and I can’t seem to get there damn 7 pin out with the ion. I also tend to not be disciplined on staying up the back of the ball. I kinda get around it and it’s always a tad late. Those pocket shots that look flush but don’t get the corner out. I try to adjust and I either split or leave an 8 or 9. Hyper frustrating.
A 4:1 ratio is on the difficult end of the "challenge pattern" range. Hell, it's getting close to the 2-3:1 ratios typical of PBA patterns. Whatever label you give it, 4:1 certainly isn't a house shot by almost anybody's definition. Most house shots are 10:1, or higher. You're bowling on tougher conditions than most... with smaller margins of error for any adjustment you make. I'd be looking at bigger balls, stronger layouts, and smoother, controllable shapes.

I haven't seen one negative review of the Ion Pro from a touring PBA professional.

And you won't, lol... nearly all high-profile touring pros have endorsements. And if they have a social media presence too, then any reviews they're putting out there have a 99.97% chance of singing a ball's praises. "I'm a Storm staffer, but this ball sucks" wouldn't go over well with the suits in Utah...😂

@@lockedonlaw Right. They're heavily encouraged to use the company's "latest and greatest" bowling balls for promotion purposes. So they better learn to like it.
