@@manutd9899 I do, I got it the day it released. Has taken me longer than I expected to get used to it and finding the right surface and lane condition for it to give me the reaction I want, but it’s getting better the more I throw it, and when I get it right, I love it! Much more angular than I’m used to or normally comfortable with, but once I figure out the right adjustment, line and when and where to use it, it hits like a truck, super strong back end snap, great transition piece when the first ball (Phaze II in my case) starts losing energy and rolling out or coming in weak etc.
@wsbproshop I like The Road still trying to figure out the Lightning?. Just got the Ruby. I bowl in a travel league and on Monday nights. Even when they oil 🛢 the conditions are light plus I throw it slower. Thanks
Right? Yeah it's way more versatile than I had thought. I had anticipated more of a skid-snap hockey stick type of shape, but it's way rounder than that. I might even be drilling a second one with a stronger layout soon to see what else it can do...
Like the video! I'm curious though , with the power edge, would it make any difference on say a phaze 5 or optimum idol pearl as far as sharpness in the backend? Or even polishing a phaze 2 to see what happens
Thanks! And great question. I have a small sample sized bottle of Power Edge, and we have a giant bottle coming to the shop soon. So I'll be doing an in-depth comparison video to show that!
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't choose the Attention Star to show in the vid mainly because of it being a stronger asymmetrical, versus the Phaze AI which is more of a medium symmetrical. As I've been using the Phaze AI, it seems to be most similar to the Optimum Idol Pearl for me. But I might be drilling a second Phaze AI soon with a stronger layout to see...
Great question. If you leave the Phaze AI polished, then I think they're actually weirdly more similar. The Summit Ascent actually gets down the lane pretty easy with that IQ Tour cover at 4000 grit, and thus stores some good energy for some angle--even though it's a solid ball. Similar to the Phaze AI. But if you take the polish off the Phaze AI, I have it hooking a little earlier and more downline than the Summit Ascent.
are you still using the phaze ai in your league? how are you liking it with people on the lane with you? would u use this ball before or after the ion typicaly?
Great question. I ended up drilling a second one with a stronger layout that I liked WAY better... and now, when I need some good back end, it's a perfect option
That one was 60 x 5.5 x 60. But I've since drilled a second one at 60 x 4.75 x 40 that I like WAY more. I think the ball thrives on being allowed to stay strong
Haha, true--the low side definitely has a little different of a roll. Stronger for me would be 4.25, maybe 4.5. When I do 3.75--4, it tends to be TOO strong for me
Might be hard to see on camera... but to me lately it's felt rounder than I had thought it would be, if that makes sense. I will say though that I've since knocked the shine off a bit, and it seemed to wake the ball up for me quite a bit with more downline angularity. Now it makes me want to drill a second one with a stronger/sharper layout, and see what it can do that way, too...
Great comparison with the Phase lineup and the summary at the end. I’m glad you’re keeping Norm’s legacy alive in ball review videos😂❤
Haha, thanks my dude. Bro you know we gotta keep Norm relevant for the rest of our lives
Great video. Love your narration skills!👍
Thanks my friend! Much appreciated
Got mine pre-ordered, can’t wait to get it in the next few days!!!!
You're going to love it!
Do you have it now - what do you think?

Nice job sir you do a great job explaining. I only throw Storm my buddies are also on staff. Thanks 👍
Thanks dude! Appreciate the kind words. What's your fav Storm ball lately?

You're right That ball is good... It replaced three of those balls you had😂😂... Very very versatile and yes it has its place!!!

Love the comparison with multiple balls. Too many to get. Looking to get one. Not sure which one.
Thanks--much appreciated! The Optimum Idol Pearl is super versatile, if you're looking for one that does a lot of things well.

Would have really liked to see the attention star, I feel like that's the only good comparison to this ball besides the phaze 2

Attention Star would be the 2nd ball to pull out of your arsenal. A.I and Idol would be the 3rd.
Yes, the answer, the perfect ball #54,769 thousand
Yep!
How does Phaze AI compare with the Summit Ascent?

You dont tell Phaze Ai Layout..share bro please..great review on SPI balls 👌✨️🎳
Whoops--you're right. Normally I remember to do that, ha. The layout was the same as the Ion Pro: 5.5 x 60
What's stronger for you? We talking 4 inch or 3.75 strong?
You should shoot on the other side.. we both know the other side plays way different!!😂😂

@@wsbproshop I appreciate and love the reviews... Next time I'm in town I'll come down fa sho!!!
I think you kind of misspoke...your ball reaction Got very angular... I think the whispers were correct!!!!! Would you not agree?
