Thanks a lot Aron, this tutorial is very helpful! This is a very clever solution for trimming a large solid with multiple other solids, in just few steps!

Ive only been using sketchup for about a week now and i absolutely love it and your tutorials. I was previously using cinema 4d alongside Adobe software but for my woodworking projects this is just perfect. thankyou :)

Nice. That is better than copying the group up on the Y axis say 500 units, doing the solids subtract and then moving the group back down 500 units.

Very useful trick, thanks! I used to combine separate groups by adding a parallelepiped to the top, your method is much more convenient and most importantly - faster! ;)

Hi Aaron, I want to ask you if you can make a video about dimensions in Layout, I am having problems with placing dimensions on arches on roads. Above all, I don't know how to find the center

This could be useful in modelling various mechanical components.

the solid tools are a too simple tool. One needs to do a lot of workaround to do anything useful. I was trying to find concrete volumes for columns and footings. It is so much tough that one would easily give up. This amount of difficulty does not allow one to focus on the physical task that one is trying to achieve. Spending one's energy and time on the application limitation.

I appreciate it... But you over explained to the point where it was confusing. You showed multiple ways to do something, and said you don't want to do this or that. Then by the time you got to what you wanted to actually do/teach it was buried in.... whatever.
