    I’ve tried the ozark 36 oz and it stays icy for days. Now I’m testing it on how long it will keep coffee hot. Played with the lids on the 64 oz while in the store and I prefer the yeti lid s or rather the rambler straw lid(buy seperaly) . The ozark lids are pretty cheap made but so far as far as keeping ice it works as good as the others.

    Has anyone found a cap or lid that will fit these bottles that make them more drinkers friendly? I know RTIC and YETI make lids like the Chug Cap, but the opening are different sizes.

      StormesRacing I Just went to Walmart and purchased the 36 oz along with a new chug cap, which is also made by Ozark Trail. I removed the cap that came with the bottle and replaced it with the Ozark chug cap. It works perfectly and I don’t have to worry about drinking from the wide mouth and having an accidental spillage.

      Tattooed Nail Girl - I'm also curious! I was thinking of buying a couple for football season for hot choc and coffee for the family! Curious how long they keep things hot! (I have the 20 oz and it does a great job, but specifically wondering about the 64oz growler!) thanks in advance!!

      So I tested these with boiling water and what I came up with is the small jug I put water in at 196 degrees. 4 hours later the water was still 176 degrees. It’s about 5 degrees per hour. Probably more if you keep opening it to pour liquid out. It’s still pretty good though.

    • @killerFreak99
      @killerFreak99 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, do not boil water in these since they a double walled. Pressure will build up in between the sealed walls until it explodes. If you want one to boil water in. Buy single walled bottles. Easy to tell because if you fill it with cold water and the outside gets cold almost instantly, it is a single walled and safe to use on the fire without a lid.

    I ran out and bought one of each also. The 64oz is fine but the 36oz leaks when I wash submerged in water. It leaks into the vacuum sealed walls around the seam near the bottom.

    I got a 64oz and I add ice and water and put it it the refrigerator the night before I go to work, the next morning most of the ice has melted, the drink stays cold, but ice doesn't seem to want to hang around, not sure if I got a bad bottle or what, also noticed a slight bit of sweating on one side , after I wiped it off I didn't notice any more, maybe it was just a bit of spill over when I poured a cup of water, I'm not sure how to rate this bottle, it's ok other than the issue with the melting ice after a few hours, especially when it sits in the fridge overnight.

    • @dumeril7
      @dumeril7 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm wondering if yours might have a leak. I'm using the 64 oz bottle for kayaking trips. I fill it with ice water and it sits in the sun in 90+ degree weather all day and I still have a lot of ice left at night. And there's no sweat at all on the outside. I do "prime" the bottle by refridgerating it overnight before putting the ice and water in. That helps. I recommend taking it back to the store and getting a new one using the lifetime warranty.

      @LS-oh8kv 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had that with a yeti that I returned, they said that it's not common, but not uncommon and sometimes when forming the bottle it doesn't get a vacuum and loses nearly all of its insulation. You could return it and get your money back or get a replacement. I got my money back on the yeti and got the ozark and I know it's basically the same but when I got the yeti ozark hadn't had their 64 out yet so I went with that instead

      Anything that’s double wall is not meant for boiling water in as it could explode. Boil in a single wall only and transfer.
