MY, thank you for 'vacationing' in Texas (@5:54) to bring my completed Sami back to me this past July! I'll never be able to thank you enough for helping me get my rig back on the road! Mine was/is my very first vehicle that I learned to drive and had when I got my license. Had what I thought was a major electrical issue after battery arced on the hood and sat for almost 20 years. Turned out it wasn't all that major but when I got it running again wanted to refresh the tired engine, transmission and upgrade to a MS2 and some other great products MY makes. Was very fortunate that I was able to purchase these things from MY and eventually, send my Sami to AZ to have MY and his team work on it. May sound cheesy but this was one of the most exciting and memorable moments of my life. Forever thankful to you MY!

I have a 1986 samurai 1.3l that needs a lot of maintenance (engine was rebuilt in Mexico years ago but only other maintenance for last 15-20 years has been oil changes). Got it for pretty much free due to the work needed. Looking forward to this, hoping it will help me figure out what I'll be doing or need to do and any little tips/tricks as you go along.
Any advise on engine swaps? I mean the new Toyota 3 cylinder twin turbo would be nice...anything new honestly. That would be an incredibly beneficial series as parts for this car (96 Geo Tracker) are scarce and becoming scarcer.

Nice set up no to long ago i grab a g16a 16 valves low mileage from Suzuki x90 and swap it to a 1996 geo tracker i changed the swap the flywheel and bypass the automatic transmission air valve with a t to the brake booster and bingo run nice and gd on gas transmission shift better in my opinion now probably a better alternator higher input and heavy duty ground cables for better performance special on the starter and alternator have header free exhaust system aluminum crank pulley gd air filter as well a couple hp more and torque is better than swapping motors and less emc crap jjjj the 272 regrind cam really wake him up in the highway pull a lot better and respond well to the traffic no a race car but hold his own gd enough for me i have a couple 96 Geo tracker 16 valves love them i like samurai but they are Mexican beans to jumpy for me not stable at all to light weight geo tracker 16 valves are more stable and better in the roads more up to the day more comtable ride take care out there amigo and felix navidad
