So I finally lost my rangefinder on the course last week. it was a Nikon I spent $400 on 3 years ago. Wanted an inexpensive one going forward and I remember you did this video. Bought it solely based on your use of red tiger. Never heard of it before I watched your vids….anyhow Thank you for the recommendation. Can’t wait to use it!
i've found a ton of value from the range finder by looking at the distance to the front of the green and the back of the green, then giving myself a distance range not an exact number. for example if the front of the green is 130 you can safely guesstimate that your going to have about an extra 20 yards longer to play with because a green is going to be roughly 20 to 30 yards long, so your shot should go within 130 and 150 dependingon the green youre hitting to. i found im making less decisions on my clubs, having less stress to hit an exact distance, and i find myself landing way more greens. if im trying to hit 140 exactly i might try to dial down an 8iron or dial up a 9 iron then possibly mess up my swing or shot. helps on the mental game a lot.
Gangbanger, your confidence gives me confidentiality. The red tiger will give all of us the confidential confidence to not only look our best, but play our best as well. Always the playa in chief, Mattie
How about some ball caps with your patterns? I have a few of them but can't wear them in the summer....too hot. My closet is 1/2 full of your gear. Love it!
Sending much gratitude, Playa In Chief 🫡 getting the first rangefinder of my life this weekend and going to use all these nuggies of gold 🙏 #Waddaplaya #NoBirdieNoTip
I worked hard on my 30-60 yard short game this year with about a 25 carry swing. I know how far each club rolls out with that swing. I have poor depth perception so on shots in this range I’ll pull out my range finder and shoot the flag. I then have a confidential shot because I’m sure of the distance. I’m probably one of few players that pull out a rangefinder inside of 50 yards.
I do. I measure everything outside 30 feet. I literally want to know if it's a 12 or 15 metre chip. Inside 50 I will have 5m between clubs, inside 20 I will have 3. You're aiming to get pitches inside 10 feet and chips inside 6 or even 3. Have to know the difference between 15 landing on a downslope and 20 on the up. Totally different shots.
I do as well playa I have played with PLENTY of guys who tell me they are 'all feel' inside 100 yards - they don't need the rangefinder for those shots. Not a single one of these guys has been any good at those shots. LOL
I prefer the simplicity of a range finder. Never felt comfortable wearing a golf watch while playing, retired mine long ago. I keep a spare battery in my golf bag and I’m always good to go.
moving to bangkok thailand for a while and want to play a lot of golf. What is the best way for that? Where do you play? So many questions! Would love a thailand golf guide for costs, memberships etc
I been loo,ing for a video for your pitching and chipping videos. Been unsuccessful . I have been shanking them for 2 weeks now. Any help would be great
I have an app that "does all that," but there something about just quickly scanning things with my own eyes that seems better, instead of fiddling with my phone in-between shots.
Hi, I see you are using a different range finder then the one you endorse in one of your earlier videos. Well I purchased the HOTO. Why the change? You stated the HOTO was the best.
There is nothing wrong with the HOTO. I never said it was THE BEST. It is a good product and there is no problem with it. Every year there are new products. But for under $120, there isnt a better deal than the REDTIGER for that price.
I have this friend, let’s call him “J”. Anyways, he kind of duffed his tee shot today. So with the Red Tiger range finder (suggested by the Playa in Chief) I shot the distance across the river for him and let him know that the shrubs on the river’s edge were only 125 yards out. We were both amazed. He stripes a shot easily clearing the river and the shrubs and is back into the fairway. This is probably the most advanced technological invention under $100. If this isn’t, what is? Seriously.
Have you ever used both together? My buddy uses the watch and I use a range finder. Last time we played , I noticed the numbers didn't always match and sometimes it was 15 yards off.
@@thomastrain7311 some buddies I golf with used a range finder for a while, not a lot of discrepancy they ended up switching to watches themselves. I’ve watched videos of gps watch comparisons and they’re all pretty close to one another. So if those are all close and the range finder hits different I’d say either pin placement is way diff than center of the green or its human error. But that’s just my thinking. ShotScope V5 all day 😎
@@funmachine3I’ve played with boyfriends who use the Watch and after few times the rangefinder confirmed that the course had not been mapped properly and Was off on a few holes. It was off enough to hurt the boyfriends confidentiality in the Watch
@@GolfSidekickthe Garmin G30 and G80 both do that. those units show a layout of the hole. you can touch anywhere on the screen and will tell you yardage to that point and yardage to the hole.
Is that Dweezil Zappa giving you the business about shooting the rangefinder when you are 275 out? Total b.s. Also, you forgot the 11th way to use the rangefinder......when you need to zoom in on the foursome in front of you marking their 3rd putts when they are 2 feet out and just generally dicking around all day. Helps to really get your anger and rage built up if you can zoom in on their antics on the green and crack some jokes about them.

Flash sale on as we speak! Just grabbed mine!
"no birdies, so no tip for the caddie" is my favorite reoccurring phrase 🤣
The confidentiality is strong in this one , young Jedi.
This was the most confidential video I’ve ever seen.
“No birdies today, so that means no tip for the caddy” 😂😂😂😂
As a non scratch golfer. I also use the range finder to see any slopes on the green. If flags on an up slope I know I can carry further.
Shot my personal best today thanks Golf Sidekick and Bob Rotella.

Just picked up the Redtiger. Solid investment. My old one didn’t have slope so this makes a big difference at a great price .
Do you have to put the puzzle shirt together or does it come preassembled?
So that’s how to get the babes! Me and the rangefinder are hittin’ the clubs tonight with a new sense of confidentiality!😮
Uncle Matty boom boom. Went to Playa quick 9'er this morning. Shot a 43! Thanks to you and all the boyfriends!

These are great tips. But I'd like to know the best way to NOT leave the finder stuck to the cart.
Put your car keys in the range finder case. Works for me 👍

Play anywhere and everywhere. Book or walk in. Dont get a membership not worth it. Easy out here. Play alone or with a group. No one cares

Are the redtigers any good? Just as good as bushnell, bluetees?
Do these strategies work with all rangefinders, or only the Red Tiger Rangefinder?
sir only REDTIGER

The Sony Walkman was pretty cool. But not as cool as the Red Tiger range finder.
Apple ipod? Just behind the REDTIGER
Hmm. iPod probably better than the REDTIGER. Seemed simple. But that’s why it was great.

it's far easier to use a handheld gps unit that shows the hole layout and has touch targeting.

GPS much harder to plot around the smaller targets though? The key takeaway on this video is shooting a few small targets to have better plans.
