This week in Majora's Mask week we are doing some trading, exploring the mysterious Ocean Spider House, and facing spirits from beyond the grave in Ikana and the Stone Tower Temple.

Fun fact: Don the Captain Keeta mask during the Ikana King (Igos du Ikana) fight and you’ll see another lighthearted cutscene in which he briefly thinks Link is Captain Keeta!
This is my favorite part of the game, the gameplay, aesthetic, and story are all so amazing. Imagine being Link is that scenario: you ended up here because you cannot let go of your past life of epic adventure and needed to find that last artifact from it (Navi), only to come to a land where *even in death* they cannot let go of their animosity and attack anything they don't recognize. Probably made him take a good long look at his life.
Must’ve been mind blowing to be Link discovering Termina. A strange parallel, more advanced world than Hyrule. The last province he explores is reminiscent of Hyrule but is a literal haunted ruin. Climbing a tall tower and then fighting giant moldorms in a desert place probably near the haunted wasteland in hyrule’s dimension….
In the past when the giants say to forgive your friend, I always thought of Tatl and Tael's friendship with Skull Kid. But now I realized it could also apply to Link as well. He's in Termina looking for Navi, but perhaps he feels abandoned and needs to forgive her for leaving at the end of OoT?
I think this part has captured the best and worst of Majora's Mask. There are moments of terrific atmosphere, visual design, and storytelling throughout Ikanna Canyon and Stone Tower, but there is also a lot of back-tracking to get items that you've couldn't have possibly known you would need in advance without a guide (and after so many playthroughs where you have advance knowledge of these things, it's easy to forget that until you hear first time experiences like this to remind you).

Not sure if you read all of the comments, but I've really been enjoying this series! So nostalgic reliving my favourite childhood game whilst hearing your insights and the developer's thoughts. A master piece.
I've been binging this series for a week straight, and just caught up. Your playthroughs of every game so far minus OoT have been the first time I've seen the full game in its completion, and it's been a blast. Wind Waker was my first Zelda, so I'm especially looking forward to that season in the future. You're doing a great job with this show. Thank you!
Got me to go back and do my first ever replay of the game. It's hard though I don't know it by heart like Ocarina or A Link to the Past. Nice little tidbit, Im pretty sure the song that comes from the Music Box House is an edited/updated version of the song originally used for the underground carousel in Big Boo's Haunt in Super Mario 64.
I noticed you never used château Romani, which you can get once you get the cow mask to prove membership after doing the Cremia wagon sequence, château Romani is like a magic potion but it gives you infinite magic

And here's another Aonuma sneaking in time mechanics fact: Double feature!
1. You have to complete the ocean spider house on the 1st day to get the bigger wallet, all other days just give out Rupees.
2. Ikana Graveyard is probably Aonuma's biggest contribution to the time mechanic with each night having its own grave to open. It needed to be added to the bomber's notebook in Majora's Mask 3D to hint to players to come back to the graveyard on seperate days.

The Legendary Adventures TH-cam podcast is great! You got me hooked with Links Awakening, one of the first Zelda games I ever played (and on the DMG GameBoy!). Now I’m in for the whole series! Keep it up!

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who decided not to get all the fairies in the Stone Tower Temple (never thought the Great Fairy's Sword was worthwhile when the Gilded Sword could be obtained at a much earlier point in the game). Thank you for making these videos. It's been an enjoyable way to relive the N64 games I played as a kid.

I am ashamed to admit I refused to be reasonable in this dungeon and persisted until I got that stray fairy you gave up on, and that I almost threw my controller in the process T^T
These vids make me wanna go back and play the originals again. Why you gotta charge a subscription Nintendo?
Because owning anything digital in 2024 is basically impossible.
@@BradsGonnaPlay emulators are a thing... You can save your ROMs and even edit them to your heart's content...
I think this is, by far, the shortest Zelda title in the series. That said, it is by NO MEANS subpar on the story front.
