  • Season 6 Episode 3
This week in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask we’re bringing spring back to the Mountains of Snowhead - but only after we round up a few more masks.
Legendary Adventures is a Legend of Zelda playthrough podcast. I’m exploring the evolution of the Zelda game series by playing through each game in release order, excluding spin-offs and multi-player focused releases. Each season focuses on one game in the series. Legendary Adventures was conceived and launched as an audio podcast. I am making video versions of episodes as I am able. You can listen to all my episodes by subscribing to the podcast.
Episodes and audio podcast platform links can be found here: legendaryadventurespod.podbea...
Follow Legendary Adventures on Social Media for videos and photos related to each week's episode.

One thing i noticed you didn't touch on, the butler remarks on your similarity to his son. In the games end credits, you can see him standing beside the tree that looks like a sad deku scrub in the games beginning. The implication is, that like all transformation masks, you are wearing the trapped soul of the deku butlers son on your face.

Keep the series going! I don’t listen to each instalment as soon as they get released, sometimes I save them for a night when I can’t fall asleep, but I absolutely love them, keep it up

The great fairy mask has a sparkle effect that lights up when a fairy is in the room, that's the easiest way to look for missing stray fairies, but it can still be difficult with how vast some of the rooms can be.

I’m about to be all caught up and now I’m sad because this has been a great podcast. Can’t wait for more episodes!

I just subbed yesterday. I haven't been commenting like I should be. But I've been binging this channel and I'm loving it. Great work, stay the course.
Surprised our host here doesn't have a larger following when he's clearly a step up from most low-effort videos on these games. Perhaps that's why, because Zelda is just a saturated topic. But these are the kinds of pieces I love in the backround for working, gaming, and sleeping. So thank you for making long videos about games I love dearly.

Yeah, I can understand you quit at Snowhead the first time around. The mechanic of the central pillar and the constant back-tracking/room-knots often leads to me getting lost and confused so many times it's not even funny.
That said, I will definitely agree that the Ghot fight is one of best in the game (maybe even the series) and it at least ensures that even if you didn't enjoy yourself in the temple, you walk away happy when it's all over ^_^

People dislike the OoT Water Temple but it's got nothing on the Great Bay Temple. In my experience Gyarg is the most infuriating boss in all of Zelda.

I wish I could recall what I thought about Snowhead- All I know is that I beat it back in the day, but I also think I was NOT shy about using a guide if I got stuck so I cannot say whether I could understand it, and beat it legitimately. I do recall loving Ghot, but it's not like that's a stand-out opinion: a giant rampaging steel-goat you have to destroy by beating it in a fast-paced (or as fast as it could be on a PAL-format N64) race where you have to tackle it to death? No other boss compares.

I feel like Snowhead was them trying to do the Water Temple again but better.
And I think they succeeded. I, personally, really enjoy it! But I like a dungeon where I have a bit of a think and don't just plow through it too intuitively.
    I also enjoy Sierra games.
Speaking of which, Quest for Glory might legitimately be up your alley if you go in with the right mindset

Second most annoying crying baby in a Nintendo game, right? First place is obviously Baby Mario in Yoshi's Island, but the baby Goron is a close second in my book.
Goht's name is misspelled. It should be "GOAT" because that's where he falls on my Zelda boss rankings.

Does everyone on TH-cam have to be a documentarist these days? Just play the game and comment as you play instead of scripting some pretentious act... 🤦

It’s a podcast first and a video second. Without the commentary it wouldn’t make sense to those who listen on podcast platforms without the video. That’s why it’s called “Legendary Adventures PODCAST”.

There are thousands of let’s plays on TH-cam. It’s a much bigger “fad” than a podcast with background and insight into a game. If it’s not to your taste, fine. But it’s a great channel as far as I’m concerned.

    • @Bird-wz7nx
      @Bird-wz7nx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Twitch exists.
Use your own critical thinking skills to assess how that effects trends on TH-cam, and then use a degree of agency to actively influence what the TH-cam algorithm shows you.
You aren't powerless in this scenario, you know- what the internet delivers to you is a consequence of your own activity. (and, to a degree, the corporate/advertiser agenda, but neither of those are the actions of an obscure gamer podcaster)
And its especially laughable to see someone whining about something being too cerebral in an era where people's attention spans are being steadily eroded by troubling technological trends...
I'm not anti-whatever or anything, but Jesus Christ, dude, is this really too much for you to handle?
Some very pleasant discussion about some great games, with some insight about their production? Some asides about personal experiences with the title at hand?
Or does it make you so damn angry that people are doing things that aren't to your tastes that you really feel the need to accost them over it? After they've gone above and beyond to make a visual supplement to their podcast?
You really need to think a bit harder about the media you consume.

@@Bird-wz7nxVery well stated, sir. Insightful and humiliating just enough for @WordsInVain to think on it more, should he take it.
