  • All sounds are from the Moog Minitaur, the repeating sequence is a single track of the Minitaur through an analog delay, and it's sounds are altered manually in real time. The bass, drones and fx were overdubbed. An Eventide Space pedal and an old version of Lexicon's Pantheon plugin were used for the reverb.
    The sequencer melody is one I thought I remembered from a Klaus Schulze composition, but I couldn't find it. However, I just did, it's from the album 'Body Love', although I didn't remember the melody entirely correctly. I would strongly recommend listening to the original anyway.

    This is the first beatstep/synth video that was a pleasure to listen to. It's great to hear this gear be used in a musical context. Thank you

      oscwildle1 Thank you, I think the Beatstep really comes into it's own when you've already got a melody rattling around in your head.

    Great stuff! Is the first high-pitched sound the self-oscillating filter?

    • @DreamsOfWires
      @DreamsOfWires  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, and yes it is the filter self-oscillating.

    could someone please tell me how to hook these two up. Apparently MIDI to 1/8" cables are rare as hen's teeth. Thanks in advance!

    I'm really enjoying your vids here. Just how many music gadgets do you have??? What do you really like? etc?

    • @DreamsOfWires
      @DreamsOfWires  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, I've sold some of the gear in my past videos because I don't have much money, perhaps the Roland SH1 is my favourite, but some of the new gear is incredibly useful and good value.

      @streetsandlanes 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      DreamsOfWires Sorry to read that you don't have much money. I hope you have a significant reversal of fortune very soon and that you can build a great studio with every gadget you could ever want and need.

      @DreamsOfWires  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much. I'd be quite content with a simple setup if I could afford to just make music all day. Most of the old instruments I'd like are priced unrealistically nowadays, but fortunately there's more affordable new gear coming out all the time.

      DreamsOfWires And you have talent, which is more important than the gear.
