Nice jam man! Great gritty and gnarly sound you got from your setup. Seems to me like you could add a small format mixer to get your stereo field back (perhaps a rackmount one?) and have everything you needed for jamming out at a gig. Anyway, WELL DONE! I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Very very nice jam Bo. Television theme stuff you playing there. It could easily be used for an action adventure show. The drum sounds aren't really my kinda drums as I prefer the 808, MPC type drums but for the type of track that you are doing here it works very well. Respect

Didn't get a note out of my BSP, wondering and looking at YT videos...
Then (after an hour or so) changed midi cables et voila. Turned out one of the Arturia cables was iffy. Need to swap that for a working one.
Then! ran the BSP to sequence my new ARP Odyssey rev3, oh joy oh joy!!!
damn that was amazing. So looking forward when I finally have my full setup... I WANT IT NOW!! Sponsor me already hahaha

Sounds awesome:) already had the beatstep pro for a while and it’s a really good sequencer for the money. Also nice to know I can control eurorack with it if I ever become crazy and start getting in to it:) haha
You'd recommend the Beatstep? I've got a Drumbrute and i've been wet for the beatstep for the past few weeks but I've heard some sketchy stuff about Arturia having a reputation for unreliability. From demos i've seen it seems solid...
Well from my experience with the beatstep pro there are no issues I have come across. I think arturia’s bad rep came from the minibrute, it was plagued with all sorts of manufacturing issues. But I think they’ve got a lot better at reliability since then. The beatstep pro is probably the best sequencer out there for the money.

Great as always! Could you explain how/why you use the Zoom H6 and how this is incorporated into your daw/editing process? Potential video?
Basically I use it as a recorder for all audio I use for my videos :-)

May I ask about the flute sample on the Takt, is it a one note sample on different pitches, or a longer sample that you chopped?

Its a longer sample that I cut a piece of to play a melody
nice. slightly disconcerting because I have my digitone and digitakt the other way around! (digitone on the left)
That's a wicked jam, I enjoyed listening. I wonder how you made that Cool vocally/flute sound/sample? It's all a nice Blend of elements! Wow Cool studio brov! It should have a sign saying "trip hazard" 😅 (for Dawless music trips ofC). +
The flute is part of a longer sample of a japanese flute I think
Will this connect the ipad to your PC DAW (via audio interface/USB) and send the MIDI tracks as MIDI?
Really good setup and jam, for midi/cv sequencer i prefer the MPC Live.

I have a digitak and I’m using the midi out sync A going to the peak in. From the peak thru I’m going to the circuit in. When I have it set up like that I can’t make a second pattern on the circuit. Thanks

The impact works well with the prophet xl, but seems the two arturia devices won’t talk:(

Hi bo ! Is there a chance you can tell me where i can get thos audio cables you're using in your setup! I think they are mainly used in the US . Have not found them here in Germany so far! Anyway cool jam session 🙂
Wow ...what a setup! Great time too! When you were talking about the beatstep.......you mentioned you prefer the Digitakt (I think) as someone who has the beatstep but is looking into the Digitakt....im wondering whether I sell the beatstep to go towards the elektron. What do you think?
Beatstep is very hands on but Digitakt adds sampling and deeper midi sequencing. If you need that go for it. Check my Digitakt videos to get an idea if ts for you :-)
Have you updated the Beatstep pro firmware yet ? the update really improves the functionality quite a bit.
can beatstep pro do fingerdrumming standalone? can it load sample?
But how many synths in BsPro? Its only two channels and the drum ch. How can you make a whole somg on it with bass drum piano synths samplings. Do you have to record two sounds on a PC. Save it on PC for example Ablton live then have the two channels on BSPro empty for another recording?

Comes in similar rack/case as the M32 so it might even be modular integratable.
I think Neutron will be amazing for eurorack. Model D less so. Not on par with m32 there. Soundwise it seems great for the money!

Keep looking at the Waldorf Streichfett as well, they are going for €218 new here in NL.
I have my Model D since the middle of march If I remember correctly. It's an amazing synth. (I'm from germany btw) So it has been shipping for a while now.
Neutron will be 349€ if I'm not mistaken (299$) and I'll buy that aswell to go into my arturia eurorack.
Here in The Netherlands I saw it was shipping 21th of april, but that could be just that specific store.
Good shopping in Germany, I live 5km from the border and bought some gear at Musik Store in Cologne.
The Model D sounds very convincing, great bang per buck.
Do you have anything about bsp and modular gear? I'm about to dive into that a bit.
I have not done that much with BSP and eurorack. I have one or two videos where I use BSP+Eurorack. It works pretty well imo. Its a great sequencer for eurorack for the money for sure. But I don't know all the details.
BoBeats I need to get something. I'm getting dfam and I need to sync it to a fairly traditional midi rig. There's a converter but for $50 more I can get a bsp. Thing is, I don't really need it otherwise because I'm happy with my sequencer. But since I'll be getting it I want to understand what else it can do for dfam and how I can use it in alternate rig configs.
Bo, great content first of all, keep on the good work. Please help me stop procrastinating. I'm in two minds. beatstep pro v launchpad pro MK3. I use reason / ableton. Intend to have a couple of hardware synths/drum machines. I'm mostly interested in workflow and ease of use of the sequences. What do you think? Thanks in Advance. Tom
I think that launchpad is just a way better product to use with Ableton.

Bo, I have read alot about the fragile nature of the Micro usb port on the beatstep pro.... Have you had any issues with it?
No issues BUT i am a very careful person. I do not put my gear thru much wear and tear

My beatstep pro controls my modular gear. I’m trying to get the digitakt to control the start/stop of the beatstep. I can’t figure it out.
How glitchy can you get with the Beatstep? Does it have retrigs and those kind of sexy tricks? Nice jam.

1.30 update for Digitakt means passthrough audio is now STEREO! with the ability to mix the inputs and apply the digitakts fx!! woohoo

that's great, I suggest get some VCAs, Filters, utilities, wave-folders, the special stuff that makes eurorack exotic, self modulating and exciting

Hey there Bo Beats- you are definitely going grey but so am I which is why I have to dye my hair now. Anyways, I use Elektron Octatrack with Analog 4 out to modular and other synths for beat making. Works great and can even sample live audio from old movie clips via Babyface RME to laptop and Octatrack. Here is a little tune I made this evening with my setup:
